Chapter 2:
Sora tensed as the dark clothed male blocked the only exit useable. She was also pretty creeped out by the guy and only had her wood sword to defend herself. 'I should have taken my knife with me today but nooo I didn't think I needed it.' Sora thought bitterly.
The man raised his head a bit causing Sora to flinch. "The door to this world is opening. Soon this world will be eclipsed in darkness."
"What the hell do you mean eclipsed in darkness? Wait, you, you're from another world!"
"You understand so little." the man said in the almost complete monotone he had been using for a while, but there was a small mocking tone that made Sora bristle.
"So what?! I may not understand much right now but I'm going to get out to other worlds and I'm going to learn!" Sora said with anger words the man.
"How meaningless one who understands nothing could never understand. "
"Your wrong, from the first moment people enter the world we know very little other then basic instincts to survive but as we grow older and explore we learn! How to stand, how to take care of our needs and about what is happening to the world around us!"
The man dully chuckled. "My such big words. But can you back that theory up?"
As soon as he said that he slipped into the shadows. Sora paused for a second. Really the encounter rattled her nerves. She leaned backwards until she was resting her back on wood and was working on breathing exercises that Riku taught her to keep calm. It was a couple minutes later when she stood up and looked behind her. It was a door like piece of wood that had been there as long as Sora remembered. It had no key hole or door handle though. 'Could this be the door he was talking about?...Sora focus ! Go to Riku and Kairi with the stuff then think over the weird man,'
It was a long night for Sora, couldn't sleep at all. She sighed and looked out the window only to skwint at the strange dark clouds covering the island where her friends and herself played. She turned to look at her clock, it was almost dawn. Dawn...Sora bolted upward.
'Oh no.' Sora quickly got dressed, grabbed her bag, patel and the machete she had for when the island's foliage got too thick. She had a bad feeling and she wasn't going anywhere without a proper weapon. Wooden swords were for playing not fighting. She quickly ran outside and closed the front door before bolting to her small boat. She made to the island and gasped at the dark orb that was over the island, "what is that thing?!"
She quickly shook her head and glanced around the dock. "Riku's boat and Kairi's!" Sora ran, only to jump back quickly as a bunch of the same dark creatures she saw in her dream appeared around her as soon as her foot touched land. "Oh not you guys again!"
Sora jumped back and swung her machete at the buggers only to groan in annoyance at the fact that the things seemed to pass through the blade like shadows. She wasn't going to let anything or anyone stop her from finding Riku or Kairi though. Sora jumped forward and swung her machete at the buggers again only this time she willed her body forwards. That thing in the sky looked like it was the cause of this chaos and she had to get closer to it to find out what the hell was going on.
Dodging slashing it became a series of movements that got her into the small shaft that's second exit let on to the bridge. Luckily it looked like the buggers weren't interested in coming in there. "And Ma always said that shadows couldn't hurt you." Sora said bitterly to herself catching her breath quickly before continuing to the bridge. It was the sight of someone she knew that motivate her to push herself to the other side of the bridge. Completely forgetting about the shadow things with yellow eyes.
"Riku! Where's Kairi? I thought you two where here together?!" Sora said with urgency in her voice but a bit of relief at the sight of at least one of her friends ok.
"...The door is opening Sora." Riku said not even turning to look at her yet. Sora felt dread wash over her as she heard those familiar words.
"Riku..." she said hesitantly.
"The door is opening Sora. We can go to other worlds now. Once we step foot into the outside worlds we may not ever be able to come back. We may never see our parents again. But this could be our one chance, we have to take it! I'm not afraid of the darkness! "
Sora was stunned for a second before dark shadows started to come up around her friend. She ran and tried to reach out to the hand Riku was holding out to her. She was soon being covered in the same dark, smoke like shadows that where covering her friend. It made her feel queasy and made her body hard to move. Still she kept trying to reach Riku. She couldn't reach him before she was completely shrouded in darkness. Every thing was dark...
Until a strange light appeared and dispelled the darkness around her, revealing only herself standing there with a strange key like...blade in her hand.
Keyblade...
Keyblade...
"Oh not the disembodied voices again." Sora grumbled before swinging at something she saw creeping up by her side. She said one of the buggers that have been after actually hit the thing and do some damage. 'Well at least there is something I can hit these things with to get them away from me.' Sora got to work and started to fight back as she made her way to the one door that has been on her mind a lot since that man cloaked in black scared the hell out of her yesterday.
In was a good few minutes later when she was closing the door that suddenly appeared at the entrance to the secret passageway. "Huh the things are practically endless at least their not strong enough to last more then a few hits." Sora huffed before running to the cave.
"Kairi! Thank goodness your ok. The whole island is in trouble and Riku was swallowed by whatever is surrounding the island!" Sora called out as soon as she saw her sister figures back.
She stopped to catch a breath as she waited for Kairi to turn around. When she did Sora was inwardly panicking. Kairi didn't look to well, almost completely zoned out.
"Sora..." Kairi said softly before the door like wood was blasted away by a strong gust of shadows. She soon was flying tword Sora. Sora was trying not to be blown away but her friends safety came first. She open her arms to catch Kairi. But Kairi passed though her and disappeared like an illusion. Sora was then blown away...
Through the passageway and out. It took a second or two to get her bearings and when she did it was a sight she wished she never saw.
The dark sphere had gotten larger. The area around the small bit of island she was on was a tornado of dark energy, the island seemed to be floating in nothingness. She used the Keyblade to push herself up. Only to see the large monster from her 'dream'. It was bigger than last time though and it was close to her. The monster was the the creepiest one she saw so far; long arms, weird 'face and hair' but the biggest thing that unnerved her was the heart shaped whole where it's stomach should be.
"Worst day ever and it was only dawn when it started. Sora rushed at the thing in hopes of beating the thing before her body gave in to the emotional turmoil and physical stress she was feeling.
She was able to hit it but the attack didn't do anything. The panic that she had already been feeling increased until she hit it's arm causing a bit of damage. She kept hitting its arm. It took many hits until it slowly slamed it's fist into the small plot of land creating a platform of shadows. Sora avoided where it had aimed it's fist and attack the arm while it was still in the ground.
'Ow!' she turn and hit the bugger that seemed to come from whatever the big one did. It also seemed that there were a few more buggers. Sora kept most of her focus on the big ones arms but now would hit the small buggers that got too close. She also had to avoid where the big things hands hit the ground and swat at the little dark balls at rained down on her. It felt little forever but the thing finally stopped moving and floated up into the dark sphere. Trouble was that Sora was being pulled into the sphere too. She held on to some wood imbedded into the ground. Her world went dark for a while after she lost her grip.
[Traverse Town]
Sora pulled herself from her past out state at the sound of footsteps and talking. She some how got up and walked to the end of the end of the alley that she was in sluggishly despite her body and minds protests. How she will look back later and never know. Her vision was blurry and that made the journey that should take a few seconds a minute or two. She still got out of the alley in time to see the reflection of two figures making their way around the building's conner.
'Is that a duck and a dog...thing talking?' Was the last and probably only thought that would be that clear for a while before she somehow made it to the shops doors, a fell through them completely passed out. Leaving a blonde shop owner in shock and wondering what the hell happened as a kid was face first on his floor.
AN; ok while this chapter didn't come out as good as I hoped it would be I hope it's still good. I am sorry for any spelling or grammar errors.
