Welcome back to The Callaghan Perspective, everyone! This chapter is kinda angsty, so be warned.

I have nothing else. Read away!

It had been a month since the fire. Three weeks ago, classes had started at SFIT.

But Hiro wasn't there.

Hiro had barely left his room since the funeral. He only left to go to the bathroom and when Aunt Cass had practically forced him. But he went straight back after he was done with whatever his aunt had asked him.

Aunt Cass grew worried. He wasn't eating, he hardly slept. and he refused to talk about what he was feeling. She had just taken him breakfast (and removed the still full dinner plate) when a familiar face entered the café.

"Hey, Ms. Hamada."

Cass turned to see Ninjette at the counter. She looked like she wasn't doing any better than Hiro; she looked like she had just rolled out of bed and threw some clothes on, her hair was in a ponytail rather than its usual bun, and her eyes were red and lacked their spark of playfulness.

"Emily! Hey, how are you? Can I get you anything?"

She shook her head. "Maybe later. Can I talk to Hiro?"

"He's upstairs. Good luck getting him to talk to you."

Ninjette nodded, then went upstairs. She found Hiro at his computer, looking at a bot fight website, when a golden gift icon popped up. He clicked on it to see a video message from the others. She watched sadly as he closed it before it had finished.

"They're really great, aren't they?"

Hiro whipped around to see her standing at the stairwell.

"Umm, what are you doing here?" he asked, confused. "Shouldn't you be at the school?"

"They're giving me a leave while I put my life together. I just came to see how you were doing."

Hiro sat down on his bed. He refused to look her in the eye as he said "Fine."

"You don't look fine. Hiro, I know how you feel about this."

"No you don't." He sighed. "I just want to be alone."

"That is the exact opposite of what you need to do." She sat next to him on his bed. "You need to be around the people who care about you most. You need to get out of this room and live your life."

"How do you know what I need?!" Hiro all of a sudden shouted. "I just lost the most important person to me! He was my brother and my best friend!"

"Hiro, calm-"

"No! What makes you think you can tell me what I need?"

"Because I'm going through the same thing!" Ninjette didn't want to shout, but she just let the words keep coming. "I don't know if you forgot or not, but my father is dead! He was the most important person in my life at the time!

"It doesn't stop there, either! My mother died of cancer when I was eight. And then there's my sister. I don't even know what happened to her; all I know is that she disappeared one day two years ago and hasn't come back!"

She got up to make sure Hiro was looking at her. "Hiro, you have your aunt, who cares about you and loves you. I have no one left! I'm not an adult yet, either! I have no idea what I'm gonna do!"

She grabbed her purse and started to leave the room, but not before sending one more message Hiro's way.

"Tadashi wasn't just important to you. He was important to all of us. He was our best friend. So we all know what you are going through."

Deciding she had enough, she left the room and the house, not paying attention to Cass calling her name.

Ninjette came back to the café a few hours later to get coffee. She noticed that Cass seemed a bit more cheery than she did before, so she decided to see what was going on.

"Hey, Ms Hamada. Is everything okay?"

"Great! Hiro's finally registering!"

Ninjette's eyes widened. Hiro didn't seem in the mindset to register this morning. What had changed his mind?

Deciding to investigate, she told Cass that she had left something upstairs when she saw Hiro earlier. Cass let her by.

She ran into the room, looking around for clues. The first thing she noticed was the acceptance letter in the trash bin. 'Nitwit needs that to register.' She went over to the bin, only to trip over something on the way.

'Baymax's charging station!'

The twerp had activated the robot and taken him somewhere. But the question was, where?

She went to the other side of the room. She hesitated a bit, not wanting to be surrounded by memories of her best friend.

Lucky for her, the thing she needed was in the front of his bookshelf. She grabbed it.

"Alright, nitwit, where are you, now?"

She turned on the tracking device, finding the little blue dot no where near the university. In fact, he was near the docks.

"Bingo."

Hiro, prepare to get your butt kicked.

So, until the next butt whooping, this is Gold Medal Ninja.
