Draco ran to the nearest empty classroom he could find. It looked like it hadn't been used in centuries. There were old portraits of people he didn't know covered in dust and cobwebs. Draco swore he heard something crawling around that sounded to big to be a rat.

Draco didn't care. Choking back a sob, he sat down in a corner, as there were no chairs, and obviously hadn't been for years.

He sat there, trying to calm himself, but it was no use. He was downright humiliated. But who cared if he cried now? No one would see him. Giving up, he buried his face in his arms, and sobbed quietly for what felt like ages.

Draco knew he'd have to leave the room at some point, but he just didn't know how he could face anyone after that.

In the midst of his thoughts, he failed to realize his visitor.

"Draco," a familiar voice called. "Draco, where are you? I know you're in here."

Not wanting to talk to his professor, Draco backed further into the shadows to avoid being seen.

But Lupin was persistent. "Lumos," he whispered.

Draco tried to hide, but his professor had already spotted him.

"Draco," Lupin said, starting towards Draco. "May I talk with you?"

"No," Draco replied coolly. "Get out."

As if not hearing him, Lupin continued talking. "I want to apologize. I shouldn't have told you to come up. Are you okay?"

"Do I look okay to you?" Draco spit through gritted teeth.

"Draco, I'm required to ask... does your father actually hit you?"

"Of course not," Draco lied. "It was just my greatest fear, remember?"

But Lupin saw straight through this. "Draco, don't lie to me."

"JUST GET OUT," Draco cried. "LEAVE ME ALONE!"

Lupin finally decided to back off. "You can tell me if you ever need to talk, you know," he said before leaving.

Tears welled up in his eyes again, and he wound up crying himself to sleep in the cold, abandoned classroom.

I don't know how to finish this. What do you want? How is he going to conquer his fear? I need ideas. Review please!
