XXI. Memories

Remus vaguely remembered seeing a photograph of a pink-haired toddler among the various other items strewn across Sirius's old flat.

He blinked.

Today, he was marrying her.

XXII. Finish This

"I can't—I can't—" she sobbed.

"You can," Remus said firmly. "Come on, Dora. Finish this."

She gazed at him, expression blazing. Ten minutes later, their son was born.

XXIII. Light

The entire nursery was bathed in light as Kingsley Shacklebolt's Patronus informed them, "Hogwarts. Now. Final battle."

And just like that, the light was gone.

XXIV. Dark

The darkness was closing in. Each tick from the clock was another second wasted, sitting at home, while the others fought.

Quietly, Tonks withdrew her wand and left.

XXV. Rule Breaking

Remus always felt guilty for breaking rules, especially his own rules.

By marrying Nymphadora Tonks, he broke all of them.

Later, he realized he didn't care.

XXVI. Holding Hands

When she took his hand, that warm summer afternoon, and led him towards their seats by the Black Lake, she hadn't merely taken his hand.

She had taken everything.

XXVII. Fearful

She feared for his health. He feared for her sanity. Both feared for the welfare of their unborn child.

Fear seemed to dominate their lives, that year.

XXVIII. Honor

"You have too much honor, Remus," Tonks said quietly.

"You can't have too much honor—"

"It's possible," she said shortly. "You're living proof."

XXIX. Transportation

After months of diligently restraining himself around her, Remus kissed Tonks for the first time atop the Astronomy Tower—and was transported to a world far beyond his wildest dreams.

XXX. Going in Circles

She'd tell him she loved him; he'd tell her they couldn't be together; she'd always come back. He grew tired of going in circles.

Until she stopped coming back.
