"Okay cutie, I'm gonna make it easy for you." Rouge said as she prepared to start her training with Tails.

"Huh? Really?" The fox asked.

"Yes. All we're going to do is play a little game."

"And…what game is it exactly?"

"Just a little game of Tag, that's all." Rouge replied.

"But…what does that have to do with training?" Tails asked, confused.

"Well, if you're ever chased by Eggy's robots, surely this will come in handy…" Rouge said, still with a mischievous smile on her face. Tails decided that if she wasn't going to tell him what the trap in this was, he might as well ask.

"Okay, that's enough, Rouge. Where's the trick in this?"

"Oh? Why would I want to trick you? There's no trick to this…" She said, still smiling. "If you can survive five minutes without letting me touch you, then you win. It's as simple as that."

It didn't take long for Tails to find out where the trap lied. "And what happens if I lose?"

Rouge's smile grew wider. "Oh, if you lose…you'll have to do something…" She walked up to him and whispered something in his ear. Shadow and Omega, being so far away from them, didn't hear what Rouge said.

Whatever it was, however, Tails certainly didn't like it.

"WH-WHAT?! W-why would I want to d-do that?" He asked, already feeling nervous.

"If you don't want to do it, you better win…" Rouge answered.

Tails gulped and prepared himself.

"O-okay…when do we start?" He asked.

"Hmm…" Rouge hummed, tapping her index finger against her chin. "…How about…NOW!"

Rouge turned around and spread her wings so fast that Tails barely had a chance to react. Rouge flew towards him and extended one hand to grab him. Tails narrowly managed to sidestep away from her hand and quickly started running.

Rouge turned around at an incredible speed and charged forward. Tails turned his head to look behind him, only to find out that Rouge was almost above him.

She reached with her hand again to touch him, and Tails quickly reacted by planting his feet and turning towards the other direction, making Rouge keep flying the opposite way. Her hand instead hit the ground and she used that to do a somersault and land on her feet, allowing her to spring quickly in Tails' direction.

Tails used a medium-sized rock as a platform to jump up and quickly take off into the air. Rouge followed at high speeds and they began to fly in all directions.

After a minute passed, Tails felt that he wouldn't last much longer in the air. Right before Rouge caught up to him, he did a spin in the air and went downwards on the opposite direction, diving towards a bigger bunch of rocks. The irregular shape of the landscape made for a good spot to lose Rouge, at least that's what he thought.

He landed on the lowest part he could find and began running away. Rouge kept chasing him from above. He calculated he still had about three minutes to survive, so he kept going around corners and sliding below some of the bigger rocks to try and get out of Rouge's sight.

However, the bat kept locating him quickly and chasing towards him.

"You can't hide from me!" She said as she swept down to try once again to touch him. Tails panicked and used the rock behind him to jump up and go above Rouge. He then used all his strength to fly as fast as he could.

The wind and the big amount of rock powder scattered in the air forced Tails to close his eyes and start rubbing them quickly. By the time he opened them, he was already about to crash against one of the larger rocks.

Tails tried to stop his trajectory, but with all the speed he had built, it was impossible to stop in time. He closed his eyes again and prepared for the impact, but instead of feeling a hard, rocky surface against him, he felt himself being caught by someone.

When he opened his eyes, he was face to face with Rouge, who had caught him before he hit the rock.

"…I guess I win, cutie…"

Tails lowered his head in defeat and allowed Rouge to descend to the ground. Once there, he stepped back, still looking down.

"Now then, I believe you had promised to do something if I won…" Rouge said, smiling and bringing his head up with one hand.

"Y-yes…that…" Tails said with his ears lowered and a noticeable blush on his face.

"Well? I'm waiting…" Rouge turned her head and smiled, waiting for Tails to do what he had promised.

The fox gulped and, shaking uncontrollably, stood on his toes as he reached up and closed his eyes. He slowly got closer to Rouge's face, until he pressed his furred lips against her cheek in a rather clumsy kiss.

"T-There…I did it…" He said, quickly retreating back and looking down again, his cheeks burning even brighter than before.

Rouge giggled and patted his head. "What a good boy…I guess that wraps up your training with me." She said as she looked towards the other two sitting on a rock.

"I don't understand why that would be an adequate punishment for failing his training…" Omega stated to Shadow. The black hedgehog simply sighed.

"You don't need to understand it…Just don't ask about it."

Accepting that simple answer, Omega stood up and walked towards Tails.

"It's time to start with your final training session of the day."

Tails gulped when he saw the ominous robot right in front of him, but nodded as Rouge walked back to the 'Spectator's Rock'.

"Alright…What's my final training?" Tails asked.

"I will train your capability to counter-attack the different kinds of weaponry that Doctor Eggman's robots can use."

"W-weaponry…?" Tails asked.

Omega stepped back and raised his arms, transforming his claws into machine guns.

"Yes. Weaponry. Now, attempt to subdue me without getting killed." With no warning or other words, Omega pointed his arms at Tails and opened fire.

"AAAAAHHH!" Tails screamed as the bullets started hitting the floor, his first instinctive reaction being to take flight.

Tails flew frantically while avoiding the bullets. He flew as fast as he could towards a rock that he decided to use for cover.

Once Tails hid behind that rock, Omega stopped firing. Instead, his shoulders opened and revealed two rocket launchers. Omega fired the rockets without hesitation.

Tails heard the shooting of the rockets and the whistling as they approached his hiding spot. He jumped out of the rock and flew away before the rockets impacted on it.

Omega retracted the machine guns and instead prepared two electrical cannons. He fired at Tails, who was trying to get away. The shots hit him directly and made him fall to the ground. Omega then proceeded to shoot another row of rockets at him.

Tails, being stunned and weakened by the electric discharges, stumbled up to his feet and started running away from the rockets, the explosions making him lose balance and fall over. Omega then propelled himself at full speed towards Tails.

Before he could get up, Tails was grabbed by Omega's mechanical claw. Omega lifted him off the ground and spoke.

"You would have been captured by now. You were not supposed to run away. You have to disable me." He then spun his upper body at high speeds and threw Tails away from him.

Tails fell to the floor and slowly got up. Omega prepared to start attacking again, but this time, instead of hiding, Tails decided to wait and watch.

Omega's claws retracted and revealed two flamethrowers. He opened them and aimed at Tails, who simply stood there, watching carefully.

As soon as Omega activated the flamethrowers, Tails took off and flew towards him. When the flames approached, he dodged to one side and flew upwards.

When he was close enough, Tails went directly towards Omega, who fired the flamethrowers again. Tails waited until the very last moment before flying downwards and sliding through the ground below Omega.

Once Tails went to the other side, he quickly jumped up right behind Omega, knowing that he would turn around, and when he did, Tails grabbed one of his arms and turned it around, ending up with Tails hovering to Omega's side with his flamethrower pointed at himself.

As soon as the flames touched his hull, Omega turned off the flamethrowers, starting to do the same spinning he had done before to shake Tails off. When Tails noticed this, he jumped off to the ground and spun with his two appendages extended. He used them to hit Omega's legs from behind, making the robot lose balance.

Omega was unable to recover due to his already unstable balance from spinning his body around, and fell backwards.

Tails' mind raced to think of how to 'disable' Omega, until he decided to do something, hoping that Omega would understand and not proceed to kill him.

He jumped in the air and began spinning in a very familiar way to all of them, extending his namesakes at a high speed towards Omega, the blade-sharp appendages missing the robot by mere centimeters.

Tails came out of his ball shape and fell on top of Omega, quickly jumping off in case his plan didn't work.

The tall robot simply stood up and looked at Tails.

"…You have completed your training successfully."

Tails sighed and relaxed after hearing that.

Shadow quirked an eyebrow. "What did he do, exactly?"

Rouge smiled and stood up. "He just did what he does best: use his brain."

Shadow shrugged and stood up as well. They both walked towards Tails.

"I guess that's all for today." Shadow said, looking at a slightly breathless Tails.

"I'm glad…" Tails said.

"Let's go home, then." Rouge said, jumping up and sitting on Omega's shoulder. Shadow did likewise.

Tails was a little reluctant, but also flew up and sat next to Rouge.

Rouge smiled and decided to try the same thing she did before, reaching behind Tails' back and gently rubbing his arm. To her surprise, instead of tensing up like he did the first time, Tails seemed to relax.

What was even more surprising to her is that when she looked behind Tails, she noticed that his namesakes were waving about contently. Rouge smiled and took that as a good sign.

After a while, Omega reached Rouge's mansion.

"Ah, home sweet home." She said as she dropped from Omega's shoulder along with Shadow.

Tails looked confused for a moment.

"Wait…You live here too, Shadow?"

Rouge smirked and answered for him.

"Well, I just couldn't leave the poor homeless thing alone…" She teased, making Shadow cross his arms and growl in an irritated way.

"You were…homeless?" Tails asked, surprised to hear that. He never heard Shadow say anything about it, and he always thought he had his home somewhere else.

"…She was the one who offered it, I was perfectly fine before!" The black hedgehog snapped back.

"Whatever you say, sunshine."

Tails hopped off Omega's shoulder as well, looking around before deciding it was time to leave.

"Well…I suppose I should get going now."

"Okay cutie, see you tomorrow." Rouge said as she turned around and blew him a kiss.

Tails blushed and felt a shudder run down his back, but waved them goodbye and left for his home.

As he closed the door behind him, Tails walked directly towards his room, completely ignoring his workroom full of unfinished projects, his only thought being to sleep. He slumped onto the bed and groaned as he felt his sore muscles protest on the impact.

He yawned and pulled the covers over him, quickly falling into a deep slumber due to all the fatigue from his first and hopefully last training session.

A/N: Okay, I'm gonna make things fair and alternate chapters with this and Revelations, so that neither of them are left behind. Please be patient, I'm working on another project outside FanFiction and I want to keep that active too.
