Alrighy! I finally started to write this out, finally wanting to get through this story I started oh so long ago. Anyways, enjoy!

Ch.3

The next day Saïx awaited in the Grey Room as members came, since they now had a new member, there was a meeting that would be held. After a bit of time, everyone was called to the room for the meeting. When Saïx entered the meeting room, sitting in his chair, he started to think about Xena again. The image of her still had not left his mind, leaving more confusing thoughts to mix with the rest.

Soon enough the meeting started and Xena was introduced to the Organization and Xemnas went on to talk about a few other things. Once it was over Saïx headed back to the Grey Room, now waiting to give out missions for the day. Eventually Axel strolled into the room and walked up to Saïx.

"That was rather interesting, wouldn't you say?" Axel started to say. "First woman to ever join the Organization."

Saïx nodded slowly. "Yes is it interesting." Thoughts of her fair face and golden hair came to his mind. And without thinking he continued to say more that he had thought. "She is rather intriguing."

Axel let out a brief chuckle. "Intriguing? Well there's a word I don't hear from you too often. What's got you so intrigued?"

Saïx sighed internally. He knew he should have watched what he said, because now Axel was going to pry at him until he got an answer. Or at least an answer that he deemed was satisfactory enough. Saïx knew he wouldn't be able to play it off as nothing, not to Axel at least. They knew each other too well for something like that.

Carefully through, Saïx tried to think of a logical and reasonable explanation that Axel would buy. He was not about to flat out tell him that he thought Xena was beautiful. If he even mentioned such a thought to Axel, eh would never hear the end of it. Unlike the other memories, that all pretended to have emotions by remembering the memories of their past, Saïx didn't do that. Out of all the members he remained quiet and emotionless, which he thought was a better way to work anyways. Until they got their hearts back he saw no need to pretend he still had what he was trying to work for.

Finally Saïx had his answer. "I only find it intriguing that her powers are opposite to mine."

"That's is?" Axel asked, sounding a bit disappointed. "That can't be it, right? 'Case ya know it seems just a bit lackluster. Is it really that much of a surprise though? I mean that is like me being intrigued if I met someone with an affinity for water."

"That is different though as my affinity is not over an element," Saïx stated. "Gaining strength and power from a moon is far different that just fire or water."

"All right you have a point there. So that's it then? She has power over the sun so you find that intriguing?"

"Yes," Saïx replied with a deadpan expression.

"Nothing else? I mean… she is rather pretty though, isn't she?"

Once again the image of Xena came to Saïx's mind. He thought of just the other day when he first saw her. How the twilight sunlight seemed to reflect beautifully off her hair. It almost had looked as if her hair glowed with sunlight itself.

Again without thinking, he ended up saying more than he thought he would. "Yes, there is something about her beauty that also intrigues me."

"Ha! So there is more to it!" Axel chuckled with confidence.

Saïx bit his tongue as he wished he could take back what he had said. But it was too late now, and he knew for sure Axel was going to go on more about it. He knew it wasn't Axel's fault though, it was his own. He couldn't seem to keep his thoughts straight about Xena.

He thought he would at least attempt to play it off as casually as he could though. "What do you mean by that?"

"Come on," Axel replied with a smirk. "You gotta think something about her at least. As we said is the first woman to join the Organization. It's just been a group of eight guys for the past several years. Something like this is new and refreshing."

"I suppose it is, but that doesn't mean I would think something like you believe I would."

Axel gave a long hard stare at Saïx, trying to read his face, but that proved hard as he remained stoic and calm. Finally he sighed. "All right, fine. You be like that then, but I know you gotta be thinking something else. There's gotta be more to it."

"Believe what you will, but right now… you need to get to your mission," Saïx stated as he handed a sheet of paper to Axel with the information on his mission for the day.

"Yeah yeah I know," Axel said as he took the piece of paper and read it over.

A moment later he prepared himself before he left through a dark corridor, leaving Saïx along in the room. He went back to focusing on his job as the few other members came through to receive their missions. After a bit of time had passed he saw Xena enter the room. She slowly took in her surroundings as she walked closer to Saïx.

"Hello Saïx," she said in a polite voice. "So this is where I come to receive my mission?"

Saïx nodded to her. "That is correct. You will come here each day to see if you have a mission from me. Then with the information you are given you will go out to perform that mission."

"Ah, I see. So do I have one for today?"

"Yes, though it is only a simple training mission to test your abilities and strengths," Saïx replied as he handed her a sheet of paper with the guidelines of what she was suppose to do. "And since we need to test these things, I will accompany you as all the others are out on their own missions."

He hadn't expected to be the one assigned to helping Xena, but he was glad it ended up that way. He wanted another chance to be near her, to see if the strange thoughts would persist. And if they did, maybe he could find out a answer to why he thought that way when he looked at her. There had to be some reasoning for it. He wanted to find it out. He wanted to know more. He… also had the strange thoughts that he just wanted to be around her. None of it made any sense.

"That's nice, so…" Xena carefully read over the notes that were written on the sheet. "I have to open a portal to get down to the training hall?"

"Correct. Do you think you can manage it?" Saïx asked as he walked a bit closer to her.

"I'm… not sure. It's that portal thing that we walked through to get here right? I have to create that?" Xena asked as she looked to him thoughtfully.

Saïx nodded and then Xena took in a deep breath. "Okay, I'll see what I can do."

Xena held out her hand, and started to look like she was concentrating. A few seconds passed, but nothing happened. She opened her mouth for a moment, seeming as if she was going to say something, but she closed it only a few seconds later. She kept trying to concentrate though, but yet still no portal appeared.

Finally she slumped her shoulders and sighed. "I don't know how to do it. How does it work?"

Saïx took another step closer to her and looked her in the eyes. For a moment the world around him seemed to stop as he started as her deep brown eyes. In that single moment, he felt as if he wanted nothing more than to just stay there. But the moment didn't last long as Xena cleared her throat.

"Saïx? Are you all right?"

Saïx quickly shook his head as he tried to clear his mind. "I… I'm sorry. I must have… zoned out there for a moment. I apologize for that."

"Ah, but you are okay then?" Xena asked with a worried glance.

"Yes yes, I am fine. You don't need to worry about me. But let us focus on teaching you how to summon a dark corridor," Saïx stated as he slowly breathed in. None of this made any sense to him why he was thinking this way or acting how he was.

Slowly he took a step next to her and held out his hand. "It's only a small bit of concentration. Think of using the darkness to call forth a portal. With the focus in mind the portal will form."

Seconds later darkness swirled around the floor in front of them and then formed up into a portal. "Dismissing it is just the same, but focusing on the fact you do not need it anymore." Saïx waved his hand and the portal vanished. "Do you think you understand now?"

Xena hummed thoughtfully as she looked to the spot where the portal once was. "I believe so. I'll try again."

She raised her hand out and closed her eyes for a moment. They waited a few seconds before the portal appeared out in front of her. A smile crossed her lips as she turned to look back at Saïx.

"Good job," Saïx replied, feeling the corners of his mouth pull back into a smile. He had not expected to smile at her, yet here he was. It was still such a strange thing that he couldn't understand. He wished that he could think more on the subject matter, especially now that Xenas was here with him, but he knew missions came first.

This was going to be a lot longer, but I couldn't find a good ending point lol. So I had to split it up, but that means Ch4 isn't too far away at least!

Thank you all for reading, let me know what you thought!
