Chapter 3: Wishes

"Wow, classic fanfiction writer." Hades' disembodied voice said. "Uploads a story that got quite a number of views and hasn't updated in nearly a year. Go figure."

"Did you hear something?" Pit asked.

"The only thing I hear is future you screaming in pain unless you wish that we're able to fly!" Dark Pit threatened.

"Alright, alright." Pit said, approaching Ikaros. "I wish Pittoo-"

"Dark Pit."

"And I were able to fly on our own."

Ikaros made a card materialize and it began to glow.

"Please repeat your wish into the card." Ikaros said.

Pit repeated his wish while speaking into the card.

The card began to float and burst into fragments, which disintegrated.

"Your wish has been granted." Ikaros said.

"Huh, I don't feel any different." Pit said.

"I think it's because you don't know how to use your wings." Magnus stated.

Meanwhile, Dark Pit was floating in the air, enjoying the air brushing his face once again as he flew around in circles. For the first time ever, he was giving a genuine smile.

"Hey, Dark Pit!" Magnus called out.

Dark Pit landed and noticed Pit's feeble attempts to fly.

He sighed and said, "Let me guess, you want me to teach him how to fly?"

"That won't be necessary." Ikaros said, materializing another card.

The card began to glow and disintegrated, same as the previous one.

"You two will now be able to fly just by thinking about it instead of having to strain your muscles." Ikaros said.

"I'm starting to really like her." Pit said as he lifted himself off the ground.

"I exist to serve and please." Ikaros said.

"Don't forget, she basically destroyed an entire town." Magnus pointed out. "And we still have no idea where she's from. Not to mention her abilities and weapons! There's no way we can let those things slide!"

"Ah, we can forget about it for now." Pit said. "We'll get her to rebuild to town and then take her to Dyntos later on. For now, I just want to enjoy my power of flight."

"Speaking of your power of flight, where is your Goddess?" Magnus said. "I'm surprised she hasn't said anything to you."

There was a loud crash in Pit's mind and he began to hear Palutena's voice.

"Sorry Pit." Palutena said as there was another crash. "There's been a problem with the Angel Broadcast Transmitter."

"Wait, we have a transmitter?" Pit asked.

"Can't…hear…I'll get… when…I…can…" Palutena's scratchy voice said.

"What was that about a transmitter?" Magnus asked.

"Nothing." Pit said with a smile as he rubbed his head. "Just a small technical issue."

"Your Goddess is having technical issues?" Magnus asked with a small grin.

"Seems that way, but for now we have to go rebuild that town." Pit pointed out as he lifted himself off the ground.

"Sounds good to me." Magnus said.

Ikaros and Pit took off first. Dark Pit grabbed Magnus' arms and quickly followed after them.
