POV Faith
I spotted Katherine's doppelganger. Her hair dull, and flat her clothing looked like something I would wear on a Sunday. All comfort, not something Katherine would be caught dead in. Everything about this girl scream pure and innocent, right down to her doe eyes. Katherine's eyes always held something fierce, and sinister. The minute she walked into a room you knew that this girl was not to be messed with. She walk with confidence, like she knew everyone's eyes were on her. The way this girl walked into the room, it was like everyone else. Not an ounce of confidence in her. Funny, you'd think that this doppelganger would be like the rest.
I hated her already.
I found myself again at The Grill. For a Saturday night it wasn't all that busy, except for the doppelganger and her annoying loud friend.
"Elena!" the annoying blond girl screams, "You're not even listening!"
Suddenly I pitted the poor doppelganger. Tuning out the blond, I focus on my drink. I plan to get drunk tonight, drink away my sorrows. One might say I was alcoholic, and I probably wouldn't deny it. Over the years my tolerance for alcohol built, so it took more than just a couple of shots to get me hammered.
On about my fifth one, the blond bartender from earlier approaches me. Brave.
"Hey." He says, "I'm Matt."
I glance up from my glass, and take a good look at this Matt. His eyes are a light blue, nothing like mine. His hold a light in it, an innocence's. I wonder if mine looked like his before I died. His blond hair hangs just above his eyes, almost blocking his sight. Judging by his built he works out when he's not stuck here working at this dead-end job.
"Hi." A plain and simple word. Nothing else.
He raises an eyebrow, "Do you have a name?" he jokes.
A small smile, its slightly forced, "Faith"
He nods, "Nice name," he smiles.
"Thanks."
He shifts. I'm making him uncomfortable, I don't mean to. Well before I was but now I don't know.
"So are you going to be attending Mystic Falls High?" Then he blushes, realizing his mistake, "I mean you look young enough to attend."
I tilt my head to the side in confusion as to why he's talking to me. I mean he's human, I'm a vampire shouldn't he be running scared. That's when I realize, Damon compelled him. The boy knows nothing about the supernatural, Matt's compelled to call Alaric whenever someone tries to compel him. Then forget about it as though nothing happened.
I smirk, "Well I wasn't planning to but now why not?" Maybe I can have fun with Damon's little soldier. Something tells me that little Miss doopelganger doesn't like me talking to him. I can feel her glaring daggers at the back of my head. "Will I be seeing you there?" I flirt, casing a small glace at the doppelganger. If looks could kill I most certainly would be dead. Good thing I already am.
"Yeah, and I guess I should probably stop serving you alcohol. Now that I know you're under the age." I frown, "But since you're new I guess I can be nice."
I chuckle lifting my glass so he can pour me another drink.
"Think of this as a welcome to Mystic Falls gift." He smirks, before walking away to another customer.
Maybe this trip isn't going to be so bad after all.

Mystic Falls High.
"How original." I mutter dryly. There's a loud buzz of teenagers talking, but it doesn't over power the sound of their blood pumping through their veins. I want to ignore it but years of control had taught me that ignoring it won't help but embracing it will. So that's why I'm like this. A stone, cold bitch. I've turned into Katherine in order to find Katherine and end her life. I must say though, her miserable life must have been quite interesting being this bitchy all the time. Watching as the rage rise to their faces, as they struggle to keep it under control. That use to be me, but then someone taught me that instead of letting all of humanity in at once, you focus on one thing.
I chose revenge.
A normal human, like any of these teens would be stumbling around after last night's drinking fun. But thanks to a little thing called blood. I'm perfectly normal, well as normal as I can get.

After compelling the school's sectary to enrol me at Mystic Falls High, and allowing my special request to be placed in every single one of the doopelganger, Elena Gilbert's, classes. I stride into Mr. Saltzman's history room, his eyes widen the second they find me. Smirking I can't help but feel that this day is going to be great.
"Hello Mr. Saltzman." I greet with fake sweetness, "I'm your new student, Faith Laurens. Just so you know History is my favourite subject." I wink.
Alaric narrows his eyes at me as he snatches the paper out of my hands. He examines it until he realizes that I'm not going anywhere, then he sighs in defeat. "Miss. Laurens please take a seat beside Bonnie Bennett." Gesturing behind me.
My eyebrows rise slightly at the last name, I glance to where he's pointing and I see a tan skinned and dark haired girl. Emily's descendant. I fight back a laugh as I make my way over to sit next to her. As I sit I glance over at the boy beside me. He seems to be taking advantage of my distraction to check me out. I roll my eyes in disgust. Boys in this century have no manners towards women.
"I'm Tyler Lockwood." He announces with pride.
I give him a look that says 'Is that supposed to mean something to me?' Tyler's pride is wiped from his face but is quickly covered up with I suspect is his flirting face.
"And you are?"
I roll my eyes, how many times this week am I going to have to say this. "Faith."
Before he can reply I'm saved by Alaric as he begins his boring History lesson.
...TVD…
Walking out of Alaric's classroom my arm is snagged by none other than Stefan.
"What are you doing here?" he asks, his voice is calm but his face is saying something else. He threatening me silently. I resist the urge to roll my eyes. Stefan may not be under Katherine's spell anymore but he certainly under the other doopelganger.
"I'm going to school Stefan," I answer "like any normal teenager. Sadly my parents are dead and my aunt is constantly on business trips so I'm left here to survive all by myself." I say, coming up with the fake story as we walk. "Maybe that's something Elena and I can relate on."
Stefan stops, his eyes darkening. "Stay away from Elena." He threatens.
I smirk, "Or what?"
"You don't want to know." His grip on my arm tightening, as he growls in my face.
"Easy lover boy." Once again he growls, his veins under his eyes darkening. I glance around to make sure no one's watching. After I see that the hallways are clear, I rush forward and slam Stefan against the lockers. A loud bang sounds as his body makes contact, and he lets out a painful breath. Taking him by surprise I knee him in the gut and throw his body on the floor. He curls up in a ball on the floor, healing after I broke a few of his bones.
"Take this as a warning," I snarl at the younger Salvatore, "I don't take threats lightly so if you don't want to me to harm a hair on that pretty little doopelganger I suggest that you and your brother find a way to open the tomb." I grab his arm and lift him up to his feet, brushing the dust off his arms, "Come on we're late for trig." I inform skipping in the direction of the class, leaving a confused and injured Salvatore.
…TVD…
After surviving my first day at high school I find myself sitting in front of the Salvatore boarding house. I exit my car and quickly enter; not bothering to knock. I'm not surprised when I find the eldest Salvatore sipping out of a Bourbon bottle, I'm guessing he's a modern day alcoholic like myself. Before I can speak he decides it's his turn to do the talking.
"Why do you want Katherine out of the tomb?" Damon asks, walking to stand in front of the fireplace.
"She has important information on someone I need to find." I lie.
"Elizabeth?" the hope in his voice is easy to hear. Sadly I shake my head. He hangs his head before taking a gulp of the liquor. "Is Elizabeth dead?" he asks so quietly that I barely can her it even with my vampire hearing.
"I don't know." I confess, and it's the truth. Last time I saw Elizabeth she was alive but that was over a hundred years ago.
Damon snorts, "How can you not know?"
"How can't you?" I retort, crossing my arms in a sassy way. He doesn't say anything and refuses to look at me.
"I'm not opening the tomb."
I stare at him, my mouth hanging ajar. "What?" I asks in disbelief. "You're in love with her, and now you're going to leave her to rot in there for another 145 years?"
"You didn't let me finish, I'm not opening the tomb for you." He glares, "Once that tomb is open Katherine and I are leaving and you will not be anywhere near her."
"Oh and how are you going to do that?" I growl.
Damon smirks as I feel pressure brought to neck. A needle is driven harshly into my flesh as a hand wraps around my waist holding me up right. Slowly I close my eyes as I feel the vervain moving its way through my bloodstream. The pain burns as though its lava. I take a sharp breath as I relax into the body holding me up.
"Is she out?" I hear someone ask, I can't see them because my eyes are closed.
"I think so." The voice says, and I feel the vibration of their chest against my back.
My body is placed gently on the ground and I hear a voice. A female this time. She's too far away for me to hear. It's almost as though I'm underwater and everybody is above. Their footsteps fade away and my body starts to heal itself. Soon I'm strong enough to open my eyes, and I find myself on the floor of the Salvatore living room. They must have gone to go get some rope to tie me in, I think to myself. I groan as I try to stand, and with get difficulty I start walking towards the entrance. Then I stop and smirk. Time for some revenge.
…TVD…
"Hello?" a girls says on the other end of the line. "Who's this?"
"It's Faith, Anna." I smirk into the phone.
"Faith?" Anna gasps. "Never thought I hear from you again."
I smile, "Well I have a little offer for you."
She hums, "And what's that?"
"The key in getting into the tombs and getting your mother out." I say getting straight to the point, "All I need is your help and I'll give you mine, deal?"
"Deal." She agrees.
"Good because I have a little surprise for you."
