Thanks Jatelovr58 for the AMAZING idea it works perfectly.

Screen blacks out.

" You'll have to stay with Natalie tonight" Stottlemeyer explained to Monk.

" Where am I supposed to live...for the rest of my life?" He asked shaking. Natalie got behind him placing her hands on his shoulders.

" We will figure that out later Mr. Monk" She explained to him.

Screen blacks out again to Natalie's house at dinner time.

" So Mr. Monk..." Julie started. " What was High School like for you...as a teenage boy?" Julie said trying very hard to cover up the awkward silence.

"...Horrible..just horrible...do we have to talk about this...?" He asked her.

" No" Julie felt defensive.

" Julie Mr. Monk is just stressed out about his house. " She explained to her daughter.

" Natalie...where am I going to stay?" He asked her.

" For now Mr. Monk right here in our house..." She explained to him.

"... I can't stay here too long...you have Julie..and ...other people...I couldn't...impose" He said.

" Don't be silly Mr. Monk...we love having you here." Natalie said rubbing his back.

" but I don't like being here" Adrian cried into her shoulder.

" Mr. Monk..? are you done eating?" Julie asked. Adrian nodded and Julie took his plate away.

" Thanks Julie" Natalie smiled at her daughter continuing to comfort the sobbing Monk.

Screen blacks out to bed time.

Julie has already gone to bed. Adrian is struggling to make the covers even ,when Natalie approaches him.

" here let me help" She said as she started to adjust his blankets.

" that corner there...that's better"Monk instructed her. Natalie continued to try and make the covers "Monk perfect". When she was done tucking Mr. Monk in she lightly kissed his forehead.

Screen blacks out to the next morning. The phone is ringing but Natalie hasn't gotten it yet. Why?

" Natalie?..Natalie?"Adrian called. Julie came down stairs and answered the phone.

" Hello"

"...what happened?"

"NO...tell me..."

"fine I'll let you tell Mr. Monk first" Julie handed Adrian the phone. Adrian took a Kleenex and then the phone.

" Hello..yes Captain.."

"...Natalie?...is she alright?" He asked. Then he fell to the floor. The phone slide out of his hand and he didn't move tears were starting to form and fall down his cheek. Julie took the phone from the ground and picked it up.

" What happened?" She asked angrily.

" NO...NO..." She shouted. "noooo..." She sobbed. The phone also fell from her fingers. She slowly picked it up still sobbing and placed it back on it's stand. Then she crawled over to Mr. Monk. She saw that his eyes were full of tears also. She grabbed a box of Kleenex and curled up next to him. He took her in his arms and held her tightly while he sobbed into her hair. In turn Julie wiped his tears knowing that he hated them.

" Why?" She sobbed silence.

" Why...was she taken away from us Mr. Monk?" She asked him again.

" Why couldn't you stop it?" She asked him. Then she suddenly got angry. She started to punch him. Surprisingly it didn't hurt even though she was trying her hardest. He just held onto her tighter and then softly whispered.

"...not another Trudy...you're right Julie...it was all my fault" He sobbed.

" No Mr. Monk..it wasn't your fault" Julie said. " don't beat yourself up...about it...it wasn't you...you didn't..." Julie then cried harder then she had before. Adrian looked down at her through his tears and suddenly felt a very protective fatherly urge that he never felt this strongly before.

Screen blacks out to later.

Stottlemeyer opened the door.

" It was open.." He said. He stopped when he saw Julie sleeping in Monk's arms. The tears forming from his eyes still even after this time. Stottlemeyer felt like crying himself.

" ...Monk...I'm so sorry..." He said. He sat down right next to him.

" We've both lost two..." Adrian sobbed. " She she lost both parents" He sobbed some more. "and I lost another Trudy" He cried into his friend's shoulder. Stottlemeyer was shocked Adrian was actually showing some parent like responsibilities that he recognized when he himself first felt like a father when he first brought his son home.

" Monk I have to take Julie to her grandparents.." He informed him. Adrian nodded. The Captain tried to take Julie out of his arms but Adrian's grip was too tight.

" Monk you have to let go" Stottlemeyer said. Finally Adrian let go. The captain couldn't get Julie out of his arms though. Adrian then offered to help.

"I'll carry her..to your car" He said. He then picked up the sleeping Julie bridal style. Even though she was seventeen she looked so innocent and small to Adrian almost as if she was just a very little girl.

His tears fell even harder and harder.

Then he stood and watched as the car drove away.

Move coming up later today.. :)...no worries I'll tell you what happened soon.
