When she woke up she found that she and Kit were tied to wooden stakes and Kalsin was bloodier then before but she was grinning.

"Is that all you got?" She screamed out. "Huh, you little runts."

"Kalsin, what happened?" Kit asked her.

Kalsin turned to her and Kit was terrified by what she saw. It was like when they were first starting to use their powers. Kalsin's eyes had no pupils and her veins visibly flowed with darkness, but she didn't struggle with her restraints so she wasn't completely lost.

"Isn't it obvious Kit, these little merdas turned on us, and now they plan to burn us." Kalsin replied candidly. "They plan to start with me so that you can watch me burn."

Kit felt her heart rate increase but then when she heard someone's voice it calmed her down in a bad way.

"You change and she dies." A voice told her.

"Get out of the shadows you little wimp." Kalsin hissed. "I know it's you Jase."

"Observant as usual Kal." Jase replied as he walked forward with a torch.

"You were always jealous of me." Kalsin smirked. "You had your little crush on Kit but she spent most of her time with me."

"Shut up, or I swear I'll burn you to a crisp." Jase yelled at her,

"You're not man enough, I also heard a rumor that you don't have a prick." Kalsin teased him.

Kit was actually scared at how calm Kalsin was in this situation.

"You told them not to touch Kit, for them just to take their anger out on me." Kalsin told him. "Yet you never took part, you'll never be man enough for any girl, you'll always end up being someone's lapdog."

Kit saw that strike one of Jase's nerve and he struck out at Kalsin.

"No!" Kit yelled.

Suddenly Jase froze completely and Kit was shocked as much as he was.

"You see little boy we are way stronger then you thought." Kalsin replied as the rope binding her to the stake started to burn. "I can smell your fear, and is intoxicating."

Kalsin just touched Jase's chest with the tip of her pointer finger and he flew back.

"Kal, how is all of this happening?" Kit asked her.

"Our power surface more and more through different ways." Kalsin replied as she picked up the torch and held her hand over the flame. "Apparently yours surface through the same as mine, anger."

"Where is the guy with the lightning?" Kit asked her as Kalsin started to slowly burn through the ropes. "They killed him first for, ironically, being a trespasser. You were out cold at the time."

"Is that what pushed you?" Kit asked her.

"No, it was what Jase was explaining to his friends." Kalsin replied as she placed Kit on her feet.

"My legs feel dead." Kit replied with a laugh.

"It turns out there were two more like was in the guild, but I don't sense them anymore. One had telekinesis and the other had a major paralysis power." Kalsin told her as she supported Kit.

As Kit took a step forward but she almost fell on her face in the end Kalsin picked her up.

"I hope you legs get some feeling back in them soon." Kit told Kalsin. "Kal you seem distracted."

"It's pitch dark as you know and since I'm carrying you in my arms I can't create a fire so I can't see." Kalsin replied.

"Why don't you put me on your back then." Kit replied.

"I'd rather not." Kalsin replied.

"What's wrong?" Kit asked her.

Kalsin set Kit on the ground and start a fire in one of her hands and positioned it to where Kit could see what was left of her back.

"Did they do this?" Kit asked her.

"Is the least of their anger." Kalsin replied bitterly as the fire shadowed her face.

"Come here, I feel like I know something that will help though it might not do much since I just got it." Kit replied.

Kalsin sat in front of Kit and she place her hands on Kalsin's back. A dark energy flowed from her hands and into her wounds making the cuts patch themselves together. As soon as the gashes were healed Kit yanked her hands away and Kalsin sighed softly.

"Thank you, Kit." Kalsin replied as she gently kissed Kit's cheek.

Kit was shocked from the kiss and she covered her face. Kalsin crouched down in front of her and Kit wrapped her arms around Kalsin neck and she was easily lifted off the ground. This time Kalsin was able to walk quicker due to the fire in her hand and when they passed the unconscious Jase Kalsin spat on him. Soon they were at the exit of the place where they were Kit was shocked.

"How long as this place been here?" Kit asked her.

"A few years, thats what I got from them." Kalsin replied.

"I should be able to walk." Kit told her.

Kalsin let Kit down gently and she took a few shaky steps and nodded. They both started to sprint away from the place, and soon they were up a tree breathing hard and Kalsin was chuckling.

"What's so funny?" Kit asked her.

"The look on that brat's face before he went flying." Kalsin replied as her breathing evened out. "The guy was pretty tough, they'll pay for his death."

"First we got to get away from here, as far away as we can." Kit replied.

"Kit?" Kalsin asked her.

"Yeah, what's up Kal?" Kit asked her.

"Sorry about what I did after you healed me." Kalsin replied.

"Don't worry about it." Kit replied.

"Good night Kit." Kalsin told her.

"Good night Kal."

When Kit woke up she saw Kalsin crouched on the branch she was on and she was completely still.

"Good morning Kit." Kalsin replied.

"Good morning Kal, how long have you been up?" Kit asked her.

"A few hours, I didn't wake you because I thought you might want the extra time." Kalsin told her.

"Thanks, and you should get some more sleep as well." Kit told her.

"There isn't any more time, we have to move." Kalsin replied as she dropped out of the tree.

Kit quickly dropped down after her and ran to be beside, but she ended up stopping Kalsin.

"Something's wrong Kal I can tell." Kit told her.

"I don't want to talk about it." Kalsin replied.

"Whatever happened to you, you don't have to be afraid to tell me." Kit told her.

"I don't want to remember it because if I remember it then it becomes reality and then I won't be able to get away from it." Kalsin replied quietly.

Kit was worried, not because Kalsin was closed off; she usually was, but because of how quiet she was. She would usually be making a lot of noise or at least be even toned the whole time she was talking. At first Kit though she quiet to keep them from being detected but now she realized that something they did to her was something wasn't going to heal for a long time.

"Is it the reason you didn't even sleep?" Kit asked her. "Because you can tell me, I'll always be here for you."

"No, Kit, I can't tell you what they did." Kalsin replied coldly, her voice now barely above a whisper. "You can say you'd understand but you wouldn't really. It is just that simple."

As Kalsin stopped talked and started to continue to walk Kit had a feeling that Kalsin was close to losing it and that she wouldn't be talking for awhile. So they walked in silence until they found a rural village, and as they walked in all the kids crowded around the village. That wasn't what really shocked Kit it was when the village elder came out of her tent and hugged Kalsin and spoke.

"Welcome home Kalsin Alfave."
