As Sakura's first class was coming to an end, she couldn't help but sigh, she could already tell it was going to be a long day. She leered down at the redhead in the row directly in front of her that she had met only an hour before, wondering if he would offer to help her find her next class. As the bell sounded everyone began to shuffle out of the room. She watched as Gaara waited for the heard of students to pass him before grabbing his books and starting to walk out. "Sabaku-sama," she called out. He froze, not turning around to greet her. She quickly walked over to him, "I was hoping you could point me in the direction of my next class."

Gaara turned to face her, his face emotionless, "Did you get a map from the office?"

Sakura looked away from him, "Yeah, never mind." She took her map out and turned away from him beginning to try and follow the map.

Gaara stood frozen for a few moments, his eyes vacant as the pinklette wondered down the hall. He snapped back to reality and glanced up. He scanned the hall for her pink hair and found it quickly. "Haruno-san," he called, as he began walking towards her, earning him hidden glances from distant students. Sakura turned around, a bit annoyed, but to lost to ignore him, "can I see your schedule?"

Sakura closed the distance between them and handed her the piece of paper. He stared at the paper for a moment. His eyes glossed over slightly. "Your schedule is almost the same as mine. You can follow me today, or for a couple days, until you find your way around. You have fourth and sixth with Kankuro, I'll have you walk you to those classes." He handed the paper back to her, sighing inwardly cursing himself for allowing the girl to be near him. Students in the hallway glanced with worried eyes at the two teens.

"Thank you, Sabaku-Sama," she smiled. Gaara felt a pain in his head once again and his stomach turned. He nodded silently and began walking without another word.

Third period ended and Sakura looked over at the mysterious boy that had been helping her that day. "We'll that was an interesting lesson, wasn't it." She spoke, making small talk. He hadn't said but a few words to her since he had agreed to show her to her classes. He didn't respond. "Who's Kankuro? Are you guy's friends?"

Gaara rose from his seat and beckoned for her to follow him. "He's my elder brother." He informed her as she gathered her belongings and began to trail after him.

They walked a short distance down the hall where the brunette make was waiting. A confused and worried look crossed his face. "Gaara-sama... I got your text. What is it that you-"

"Take Haruno-san to her next class, it's the same as yours, then meet me by the tree afterwards so I can take her to fifth." He demanded.

Kankuro's confusion grew, "Why are guarding her?"

Gaara glared at his brother, "This is not a mission," he hissed, "She just needs some help finding her way around."

"If you don't want to it's find I understand, I kind of stick out here." Sakura added, looking down at her bright shirt and white shorts. Kankuro glanced around at all of the teenagers in pale colors around them, noticing a few people staring at them like always.

With a forced laugh, Kankuro wrapped his arm around Sakura in a friendly way, "Sure, Pinky, I'll show you around. This place is pretty confusing." He watched as Gaara's eyes glossed over for a moment before going back to their normal sea-green color. "I assume since she doesn't know anyone, you've asked her to come sit with us at lunch?"

Gaara looked Sakura for a moment, "I haven't" he answered with no expression.

"Well then, I will. We'll see you later, Gaara-sama" Gaara hesitated and gave a small nod before leaving.

Sakura watched as Gaara turned the corner, "um, do you mind taking your arm off me?" she asked her new guide.

Kankuro laughed and moved his arm off of her, "Yeah, of course, pinky. So, how you liking Suna High? Make any friends other than Gaara?"

Sakura scrunched her face slightly, "I don't think me and your brother are friends. He doesn't talk to me much. And no, I haven't talked to anyone yet, to busy adjusting to a new life I guess."

"Well, then I can be your first friend." Kankuro offed with a warm smile. "Gaara's a bit of a… well, he prefers to be left alone." He shrugged, leading Sakura to their class.

"Oh, I guess me trailing after him isn't exactly thrilling to him then,"

"Yeah, how did you manage to get him to agree to that?" he chuckled, imagining his cruel brother, image of fear around Suna, walking around with this bubbly girl.

She just shrugged, "He told me no when I asked him if he'd tell me which way to go to second period and when I walked off looking for it he called my name and offered to show me around. Kankuro gave her a skeptical look.

"Temari's gonna love this." He mumbled to himself, walking through the classroom door and taking Sakura to the seat next to him.

As class came close to ending, the sensei told the class to talk freely for the remaining time. Kankuro glanced over at Sakura, who was quietly looking at the school map, trying to map out the ways to her first few classes using the way Gaara had taken her. "Sakura, what brought u to Suna?" he asked, suddenly. He noticed Sakura became guarded.

"My mom got a job offer." She informed him quickly, not looking up from her map.

"Oh, what job?" he pried.

Sakura looked up from her map with an expression on her face was troubled, "She didn't tell me, it was kind of a quick move."

Kankuro narrowed his eyes, "You know my father is the Kazekage, right? He approves or denies everyone who comes to live in this city. He has paperwork on every family who has moved here from other cities, including your mom. I can find out why you came rather easily."

"Please, don't. It's a personal matter that I rather keep in the family. Maybe once I know you better, I'll tell you, this just isn't the time." The bell rang and students began to leave.

Kankuro could see the tears welding up in Sakura's big green eyes and his face softened. He put his hand on her arm, "Hey, I'm sorry, with my family we're raised to be suspicious of traitors and danger, I didn't mean to upset you." A few tears escaped down her cheeks, smudging her make up slightly. "No more questions about that for a while alright?" Sakura nodded wiping her eyes silently standing up with her books. "Let's go find Gaara."
