What...? What on earth was I just doing?
No. I didn't do anything wrong. So denial was probably the best way to deal with this situation.
It didn't fail me when I found out that Cheren had a crush on me a couple years ago, and it won't fail me now.
Besides, all I did was walk up to a teacher.
'A very good looking, mysterious teacher...' My subconscious clarified.
"Damn you little perverted voice inside my brain..." I grumbled.
"No use dwell-"
"Weee!" A sudden small voice cried out interrupting my mental turmoil.
"Hm? Ah hey there little buddy!"
I recognized the cute cry coming from a wild shiny eevee that liked to visit me from time to time. We'd met a few months ago when I was busy training my team and it so happened to stumble in front of the cross fire of a very powerful aura sphere attack. Luckily my pokemon that released the move managed to curve it away just in time before the situation became critical. Ever since then, this cute little bugger had grown an attachment to me for no real apparent reason; although sparing it from fainting or an interest in my pokemon's power may have been it.
Only something felt different this time...
I bent down to pick her up and noticed that her left hind leg paw was injured.
"What happened to you? Did you get into a fight?" She let out another cry, but this time it was a little louder.
"So you won huh? I hope it was worth it."
It would still be a while before we'd reach my house. Luckily I always kept the essentials with me just in case my own pokemon were injured. "Come on, let's get you patched up." I smiled encouragingly. Giving me gentle licks of thanks felt so rewarding, not to mention how plush and cuddly she felt as I held her in my arms. "You're so soft..."
Pokemon never ceased to amaze me. Especially smaller sized ones like this eevee. How they held so much power inside of them was nothing short of remarkable. And when raised with love and kindness they could be an unprecedented force, which my team proved when we defeated the previous champion Alder, along with the entirety of Team Plasma.
"Let's sit here." I whispered walking over to and sitting down on a local park bench and scratching behind her ears. After setting eevee down onto my lap I grabbed my bag and pulled out a super potion spray and bandage wrap. "This may sting a little." I warned. A smile tugged at my lips when she stretched out her hind leg. That brave look in her eyes showed how much she trusted me. 'That's the spirit.'
It wasn't long when I finished wrapping her wound. She let out a please squeal and cuddled up close to my face in appreciation.
"Ha! Come on stop it. That tickles." I laughed.
'Seems like I made another new friend.' Petting her head I grabbed my stuff and stood up.
"Can you walk?"
Sensing the worry in my voice, she jumped to the ground with ease and cheered happily.
"That's good. Next time be more careful. And if you want to visit me again you can always come to my house. I'm sure my pokemon would love to meet you. But you know, without almost hitting you with one of their moves." I grinned before giving her one last gentle pat on the head and waving goodbye.
"Wee!" She called back before scurrying off.
Now that that was done, heading home went off without anymore problems. Although the satisfying feeling of helping eevee was hardly considered an issue in my eyes.
I entered my house after the remaining walk and closed the door behind me.
"I'm home!"
But there wasn't a reply.
"Oh yeah. I forgot that mom is working today... Which means I have the house to myself!" I fist pumped stretching happily. Without wasting any time I quickly shed off my school clothes and threw them in the washer and walked into the bathroom.
"I can finally take a shower without Touya using up all of the hot water." I grinned.
After taking my time to clean up and wash my hair I hopped out of the tub, wrapped my hair up into a towel, and threw my robe on.
A vibrating sound could be heard coming from my room. "Someone called me?" I wondered. Flipping my phone open I saw a text from Touya. 'Speak of the devil.' I plopped down onto the edge of my bed shaking my head. "This ought to be interesting."
"Hey I heard that your new Pokemon Bio teacher's hot. Bia told me he talked to you?! ;)" I rolled my eyes and sighed. Everyone seems to keep bringing him up. "I don't know what she told you but he was just returning my gym bag." I replied back. "Yeah, suuuure he was ;P" He added. "Think what you want smart ass... At least I got to use up all of the hot water for a shower... Not you! :)" He took a moment to answer.
":(" I laughed at his reply and then flipped my phone shut.
Still he wasn't wrong.
'Mr. Harmonia huh...?'
I wasn't sure as to why he had such an effect on me. But no matter what I did today, my thoughts always went back to him. The feeling of his fingers still lingered on my hand. Seeing him smile as he spoke made me feel happy...and the blood would always rush to my cheeks whenever he looked at me...
A heavy sigh escaped my mouth.
"Why do I keep thinking about him? This isn't healthy." I asked myself.
"Maybe I'm overreacting."
It wasn't possible that a man like him would ever love a teenager. And even if it was... It would still be illegal wouldn't it? Students and teachers weren't allowed to make physical contact right? I blushed.
Physical contact? What exactly was I thinking of? Although given my age, thinking about that kind of stuff was normal, right? I knew all about it of course. Bianca and Cheren even admitted that they had recently become physically intimate, so I wasn't ignorant on the subject.
Even so, I personally was lacking in that department.
I released my hair from the towel holding it while flopping back onto my bed, not caring if the mattress got a little soggy. My long curls sprawled themselves out around me as I stared up at my ceiling. "That's a beautiful name." Just a compliment. "Your eyes are very pretty Miss. Touko." Those words he said echoed throughout my head. They repeated themselves over and over again. I covered my face with my pillow. "Damn..." I whispered. My face was continuously growing hot, along with the rest of my body.
The sensation felt odd. Like my body wouldn't calm down. 'Is this what it's like when you begin to fall in love?'
"Love?!" I yelled sitting up. "N-no way! I barely know the guy. So why am I acting like this?!" I cried shaking my head. But if it wasn't love... Was it possible that I had developed a crush on him?
"..."
I took a deep breath and fell back onto my bed.
"I guess I'm just like all of those other girls in the end..." I muttered shyly. I pushed the pillow back onto my face and slowly drifted into a deep sleep. 'Funny. I don't remember being tired.' Today's events really wore me out. My guess was that everything that happened was a little too much to absorb at once. But my mind soon went blank.
"Touko. Touko honey wake up. You'll be up all night if you fall asleep now."
I opened my groggy eyes. My mom hovered over me with a warm smile on her face.
"How long was I asleep?" I asked rubbing my eyes. "It's only been about an hour. Touya is home and he told me you were already sleeping. Try to stay up with him for a little longer before you go back to bed." She said lifting me up while rubbing my back. I yawned and nodded. I threw on some pajamas, ditching my robe and made my way downstairs.
Touya sat quietly on the sofa. He was still dressed in his track clothes. After noticing my presence he looked at me and grinned. "Sup sleepy head." I playfully hit him on the head. "Who are you calling a sleepy head?" I asked eyebrows raised. "Hey watch yourself." He pretend warned. "Are you trying to pick a fight?" He only laughed and patted the seat next to him and I gladly sat down.
"So today I got trampled by a bunch of girls. They were trying to get your Bio teacher's attention." He rolled his eyes. "Ha! You should have seen my class. It was so annoying. They wouldn't shut up for even a second. And they even asked him all of these ridiculous personal questions." Touya laughed and shook his head. "Hey earlier I was just kidding. I know that you and the teacher would never be a thing." He admitted. "Well duh." I replied elbowing his side. "Alright, Alright." He smiled before changing the channel to something more interesting.
Time flew by as we sat there for a few hours watching TV. Now it was getting late.
"Well I'm gonna head up and take a shower. Although I can't take a long one since you used all of the hot water... Thanks for that by the way." He said yawning. "Yeah, same here. We have a long day tomorrow." I admitted.
Touya and I made our way to the bathroom and we brushed our teeth. After saying goodnight we went our separate ways.
I dove into my bed and let out a long sigh. "Man. If this is the effect he has on me in one day... I'm kind of scared to find out what will happen to me after a week..." My body was beginning to feel hot again. "I thought high school crushes were supposed to feel nice?"
'It aches...' I thought dimly before drifting off to sleep.
My alarm went off a bit earlier than usual. 6:00 on the dot to be exact.
I figured my mom was right about slacking off. Just to prove that I really was responsible, getting to school on time today would do just that. Yawning tiredly I hoisted myself up and got out of bed. Right now I was the only one in the house who was awake. Touya's light snoring echoed when I tiptoed through the hallway. As for my mom, well she already left for work.
Today I just wanted to go comfortable for the day, so I threw my hair up into my old signature pony tail. Although I admit to putting on eye liner for a change and using mascara like yesterday. "If I'm going to wear my hair like this, might as well at least wear make up." I shook my head. What was I trying to prove anyway?
When I finished putting on my uniform and stockings and grabbing my bag I flew downstairs.
After making some toast a small scratching noise on the front door caught my attention. "Weee!" An all too familiar cry gave away the culprit and I smiled. "You sure came for a visit sooner than I thought you would." Eevee looked up at me with excited eyes when I opened the door, before she leaped into my arms. "I see you're doing a lot better. Come on, I'll make you some pokemon food."
It wasn't long before I finished.
"Here you go." I held a freshly made poke-pellet up to her mouth and she gratefully took it.
"Wee~" A gentle chime.
"Haha! You're welcome." One by one the food disappeared, until eevee was full and satisfied. "Glad you enjoyed it. Oh? You're not wearing the bandage anymore... So does that mean you've fully healed?" She jumped up and licked my cheek over and over. "I'll take that as a yes." I replied petting her head softly. 'Thank goodness.'
Suddenly her entire body was engulfed by a bright glowing light.
"What?! No way!" I shouted as the now evolving eevee jumped back onto the ground to finish her transformation. 'I wonder what she's going to evolve into? It's daytime so an espeon right?'
But when the light dimmed there definitely wasn't an espeon standing in her place. 'Is that... What I think it is?!'
"Sylveonnn~"
"A sylveon?!" This specific eevee evolution were very rare to see in Unova, and are more commonly native to the Kalos region. Fairy types in general were rare in any region considering they are one of the less common types. Not only that but this sylveon is a shiny. Which makes it even harder to believe...unless. "Do you know a fairy type move?" I bent down and asked petting her now silken ears. "Sylvie!" She cried nodding her head. 'Oh yeah! And a girl too! Which makes her the rarest of all sylveons right?'
"Wow you really are impressive aren't you?" I smiled scratching her cheek gently. Letting out a cry of happiness she nuzzled her nose into the palm of my hand.
"Hm? Wait... You want to become my pokemon?" Her ribbon like feelers whirled as she ran circles around me. "Haha, alright then!" Digging through my bag I found an empty pokeball and held it out to her at eye level. "Are you sure you want to come with me? I'm a champion you know? So the road will be filled with tough trainers looking for a good fight." With wide pink eyes sylveon pressed her muzzle onto the button that opened the ball. A bright red flash filled the room before dimming down again. I realized how determined she was when I felt it only shake once in my palm. 'A quick capture huh? I'm glad you trust me so much.'
With that I gained another life-long partner. And more importantly a new friend.
"I should probably leave now though..."
It was still pretty dark when I stepped outside. Dawn to be exact. Maybe I overdid it?
"Oh well." I liked when it was dark outside anyway. Before I took another step, another brief flash of red light shone from inside my bag and sylveon was suddenly at my side again. "Sylveonnn."
"I guess you hate being cramped up inside of your pokeball already don't you?" I grinned. She nodded. "Then you should probably stay here. I can't take you to school until orientation week is over." I frowned apologetically. The slight disappointment showed on her face, but she recovered pretty quickly. "Don't worry we'll play later. And then I'll introduce you to your new teammates, how's that?" Her ears perked up and a smile adorned her face. "Good. I'll see you later!" I waved.
~oOo~
Strolling through the city during this time of day made me notice the lack of people outside, other than the occasional cars that had to make it to work early. It also didn't go unnoticed that I wasn't the least bit tired. Given my track record, I think it's safe to assume that I'm more an evening person. Maybe it was because of the extra hour of sleep I got from that nap I took yesterday... But today, I felt like something good was going to happen.
Suddenly I heard several shrill cries coming from the field ahead of me. "What's going on over there?" Taking off at full speed I ran until catching up to the source. And what I ended up witnessing wasn't very pretty.
A small little Zorua stood directly in the center of a larger ring consisting of several different types of pokemon who didn't look too happy. Oddly enough the young zorua didn't even look like he was worried. In fact a large grin appeared on his face as he released a small snicker. "Eehee!"
This was hardly the time to remain calm. Even with that smile on his face I'm sure he must realize the trouble he was in? I had to do something regardless.
"Hey! What are you all doing ganging up on him?" I yelled stepping out of my observation spot and giving them one of the sternest looks I possessed. Spotting me; the small pup pokemon let out another smug laugh.
"Eeheehee~" Before I could even blink the little kit escaped the circle and made his way over to me. "Whoa! H-hey what are you-?" He cut me off as he leaped onto the top of my head and settled himself firmly on my hair. "What are you doing little guy?" I asked steadying myself.
Now I could feel the glares of the other's set on me. Lucky for me I was pretty good at solving problems with the mysterious creatures.
Slowly but surely, I walked over to the group of angry pokemon. There were about eight of them, and their bodies tensed when they saw me drawing closer. "It's all right. I'm not going to do anything I promise." For a brief moment the group exchanged glances of uncertainty. I took the opportunity to throw my bag on the ground to show them that I was telling the truth. "See? Just like I said. Now will you tell me why you were all picking on this zorua?"
Again they looked at each other hesitantly until the smallest of their group; a Shinx stepped forward. Kneeling on my lap the small lion cub pokemon pointed a paw at the amused zorua on top of my head and then to the ground a few feet away. "He...took something from you? What was it?" Another from the group approached me. This time it was the largest, a Beartic, and he made a gesture to show that he was talking about eating.
"He ate all of your food?" I asked with furrowed brows.
"Bearrrtic!" He nodded his head angrily. 'Ah now I get it.'
I tried to give my best apologetic smile. "I see. You're just hungry. Well if you would like, I have some left over pokemon food and berries that I'd be happy to share with you." All of their faces lit up in anticipation, and beartic held out his paw as thanks. "Let me just get my bag." I replied gratefully shaking it. "Oh right. Before I do..." Reaching over my head I lifted up the mischievous zorua and held him out in front of the group. "You need to apologize. I'm sure you know that it's wrong to take what doesn't belong to you, so say you're sorry."
The pup looked back at me and sensed the seriousness in my voice. "..." With a small bark he apologized to the others.
They eyed him carefully for a moment and then each nodded their heads. "Good. Now let me see here." Plopping zorua back onto the top of my head I reached into my bag and pulled out a medium sized container before sitting down. "Here you go." I replied opening the box and setting it in front of the eager pokemon.
Inside was an array of freshly picked berries and baked poke-food. "Eat up!" I grinned giving them a thumbs up.
Sparkling eyes of thanks were soon replaced with satisfied munching.
"Eehee." Zorua chuckled jumping down on my shoulder and nudging my cheek. Sighing, I pat his head. "So you want some too huh? Alright, here." I grabbed a sitrus berry from my school lunch bag and began feeding it to him.
"Miss. Touko? Is that you?" I nearly jumped out of my own skin at the sound of another voice. But my heart nearly leaped out of my chest when I recognized the person who spoke.
"Ma-Mr. Harmonia!" I shouted scrambling hastily to my feet. 'Where did he come from?!'
"What are you doing here at this hour?" He asked with an eyebrow raised.
"Ah, well I was just um..." Why is answering a simple question so damn difficult? Before I could muster up a proper response, his next sentence caught me off guard.
"Zorua! There you are. I've been looking for you." I blinked with wide eyes.
"Y-you mean this is your zorua?" I cursed myself under my breath for stuttering.
He nodded as he gave me a warm smile. I could feel the heat rise to my cheeks. "Thank you for finding him. I was beginning to grow worried, although I never expected to run into you."
"Eeheehee!"
Suddenly the world went black when zorua playfully rubbed his muzzle into my face. "H-hey!" I shouted picking him up and holding firmly in my arms.
"Haha. It seems like he's taken a liking to you." Oh arceus even his laugh was attractive. 'What is the matter with me?'
"Yeah I guess so." I replied shyly.
"And what do we have here?" Peering over my head, Mr. Harmonia noticed the group of now full and satisfied pokemon behind us. I tilted my face in the same direction as his and smiled. Forgetting about the extremely handsome man in front of me and for once acting like a normal person as I properly answered him.
"Those are some pokemon that your zorua stole food from. Luckily I had left over poke-food to give them. But it was no trouble because I was glad to do it... They turned out to be a really nice bunch." I replied.
"Really...?"
When I turned back around to face him I froze.
He was staring directly at me.
What's more he was... Smiling.
For what felt endless we stood there looking into each other's eyes. Finally I worked up enough courage to avert my gaze.
"Haa, what is it?" I laughed nervously.
"I see... You truly are a kind person." He mumbled.
"Did you say something just now?" I asked eyeing him curiously. He shook his head and held out his arm. "Thank you for taking care of my friend. Zorua can sometimes be a bit of a trouble maker." The small kit barked as if to say something to him.
"What's the matter?" I asked looking down at zorua. He just smiled up at me.
"I think he wants you to carry him a while longer. Like I said, he really has taken a liking to you..." He paused.
"You see my friend is a very terrific judge of character. So if he likes you this much then it's guaranteed that you're an amazing person...and I agree." On the last three words of his sentence he smiled at me again. I could feel my heartbeat race.
Such a kind and gentle smile. But something about it also seemed lonely and distant.
'There it is again. This fuzzy feeling...'
"Where are you headed?"
"Huh?"
Silence.
"Oh! I was on my way to school!" I suddenly remembered.
Mr. Harmonia put his hand up to his chin in thought. "At 6:30? Classes don't start until 8."
"T-that's... I was trying to be responsible and prove to my mom that I could be on time for once..." I admitted embarrassed. As if something clicked inside of his head, he nodded. "So that's it. Still 6:30 is a bit of an exaggeration..." Well he wasn't wrong, but that only made me feel even more like an idiot. "Yeah, you're right." I grumbled looking face down.
"How about I walk you the rest of the way?"
My eyes shot up. "You don't have to do that."
"Honestly you are so cute. It's fine. After all zorua doesn't want to go into his pokeball yet because he wants you to carry him... Please bear with me. He doesn't like too many people." He clarified.
'Cute? I knew it. I'm nothing more than a child in his eyes.'
"Okay." I replied snuggling the plush pokemon in my arms.
"Eehee~"
~oOo~
We silently made our way to the school, and I made sure to say a few feet behind...
But I couldn't get rid of the nagging feeling inside of my chest.
It felt like I couldn't breathe. How could I when I was so close to him...?
If I extended my arm out in front of me I could reach his jacket and pull myself against his strong back. Then I imagined him holding me in a tight embrace as I deeply inhaled his powerful scent. His light grey-blue eyes amorously gazing into mine. The feeling of his soft tea green hair brushing against my face as he kissed me tenderly. His naked body hovering over my own while he conveyed his feelings through the words I wanted to hear more than anything. And then he would send my heart on a trip to cloud nine as he connected us together... I blushed lightly.
'Since when was I capable of having perverted thoughts like this?! Get it together Touko. He's your teacher, and you are his student!' I had to throw all of those idiotic thoughts out of my mind. There was daydreaming and then there was going overboard.
Still. I couldn't help but lust after him. My heart just fluttered by the thought of him, and as I stood behind him it felt like I was walking on air. 'I seriously think I may have a problem.' I huffed.
"Are you nervous...?"
'What?' Wrapping my head around those words took a moment; and for a brief second I faltered.
"What did you say?" I asked aloud this time.
"...?!" He stopped abruptly and I accidentally ended up bumping into Mr. Harmonia's back.
"Sorry! Ah but, did you ask me something?" I apologized.
"It's nothing. I wanted to remind you that school technically doesn't open until about an hour from now. So we can wait in my classroom if you'd like." He explained.
"Yes that sounds fine." I replied smiling.
~oOo~
After we finally made it to the school entrance, I took note of the limited amount of people. Other than the two of us, a few janitors roamed around outside preparing for their jobs.
"Zorua I'm afraid you have to go back into your ball now. You can play with her later... If that's all right with you Miss. Touko?"
I nodded scratching the playful fox pokemon's ears. "I'd love to play with you again. But no more funny business okay?" I grinned when he snuggled up to me and chuckled. "Eehee!"
Then he jumped out of my arms and onto Mr. Harmonia's shoulder. And in a flash he was back inside of his pokeball.
"Sorry for the trouble he caused you."
"It's fine. He's actually pretty sweet." I smiled.
"Thank you. I raised him myself from an egg." I blinked. 'Impressive.'
"Really? That's amazing." But he shook his head. "I've seen more impressive feats." A smile appeared on his face catching me off guard. "R-really, it was nothing to brag about. I just stopped them from picking on your zorua." Seriously I would have to stop stuttering all the time.
"Still, most people wouldn't know how to react in that type of situation" He continued.
"..." Unsure of how to respond I just nodded my head.
As we entered the doors Mr. Harmonia's face lit up as if he suddenly remembered something.
"I have a few errands to run, but my classroom door is unlocked if you want to wait there. I should be back to join you in about a half an hour." Again I nodded silently. Then he disappeared around the corner.
"Haaa..." I exhaled heavily. Apparently without even realizing it, I had been holding my breath ever since he gave me all of those exaggerated compliments. Was he trying to make me fall for him?
"Not healthy..." I sighed.
I took the alone time to calm myself down and headed towards my locker, shoving the empty pokemon food container and my gym bag inside. It turned out to be useless once I felt my entire face burn again. "Deep breaths Touko..." Was there even a chance for me with him to begin with? Sure I wasn't outwardly fawning all over him like the other girls in class, but my heart still buzzed whenever I saw Mr. Harmonia's face; especially his smile.
"Something is seriously wrong with me." I mused slamming my locker shut.
~oOo~
*Sigh*
It had been over 30 minutes since I've been sitting inside of this silent empty classroom.
The ticking sound of the clock was beginning to make me feel restless, but I wasn't exactly sure why.
"7:15... Class doesn't start for another 45 minutes." I grumbled to myself. My fingers tapped against my desk impatiently. And although it really shouldn't concern me, I started to wonder what was taking Mr. Harmonia so long.
A light blush swept across my cheeks when I realized what my real ulterior motive was... Had my perverted conscience really been planning to get ahead of the other girls and spend more time with him?
"Geez..."
When had I; Touko White, become so sneaky?
It was pretty obvious that I couldn't help it. After all, wanting to be closer to this guy was practically a reflex now... And what the hell was up with this feeling of deja vu I felt whenever I thought about or spent time with him?
Whatever it was, I'm sure it was nothing.
"7:18... It's only been 3 minutes?!" I let out a mournful sigh.
But then I perked up a bit when his desk came into view.
"..."
Every moral in my being was telling me to just mind my own business and pretend the idea of snooping never crossed my mind, but my body was insisting that I exploit my curiosity. The latter won since my limbs had already started moving on their own.
I plopped down into his rolling chair and admired how soft it felt compared to the student desks'.
'He also sits in this chair.'
My cheeks grew a bit warm before I shook my head. "Concentrate." Then I opened one of the drawers and shuffled through all of the files and papers. Unfortunately none of them were interesting so I moved onto the next one; which had a classroom key, a few bathroom passes, but still nothing of importance.
Only one more left.
It was larger than the other two, but when I tried pulling it out, I noticed that it was locked.
"Damn." I pouted. My suspicion got the better of me.
The sound of sudden footsteps echoes behind me and I twirled my head around.
"Miss. Touko?"
So here is the revised chapter 3! I've been wondering about something for a long time now, and have finally come to a decision...
From now on, whenever a chapter doesn't have much to do with the actual story line it will become a side chapter! HELL YEAH, AM I RIGHT?! Orrr if I just have an idea that pops into my mind or something that does technically follow the story line but doesn't happen in chronological order will also be a side chapter. Which is why if you read the old version of this fiction, you'll notice that maybe a chapter in that one will become a side chapter in this revised version.
So things will be different this time around, and I hope that my lovely readers and reviewers AND followers will accept my changes and just enjoy the revised "N The Teacher!"
This (as you have already noticed, at least I hope so XD) has more content, more intricate writing skills, and a deeper; much more romantic kind of feel to it than the old version did, but still not without all the smutty goodness, which I hope makes up for all my procrastinating and lack of motivation (I blame college and work).
ONTO THE FIRST SIDE STORY!
