I won't bore you by giving some excuse as to why I haven't updated. Instead I'm just going to say I hope you like it.

When Kiyomi arrived home from the bonfire she gave Neji a call. She somehow felt like she needed to reconfirm her relationship with him. Like maybe she needed to convince herself that she still loved him. It didn't take long for her boyfriend to arrive to her house and sneak up to her room. Before you knew it, they both had their clothes off and hands all over each other.
Neji was sucking on one of her nipples as Kiyomi moaned. While roaming her hands over his bare body, Kiyomi pulled Neji's head up to share a kiss. Their kisses were hungry and sloppy, both enjoying the pleasure they were receiving. Kiyomi was trying her best to stay quiet since her parents were right down the hall but Neji was hitting every part inside her just right.
"Mmm harder Neji." She moaned and as he repositioned himself and she felt him hit that spot. The spot he knew all too well. Kiyomi had to bite her lip to keep from screaming.
She clawed at Neji's back and heard him give a deep groan. She was getting close, she could feel it, she just needed a little more.
"Faster..." She whispered into his neck. Neji sped up and started going as fast as he could.
Kiyomi's vision went white as she came. Her body going limp. When she opened her eyes, she saw Neji above her panting and smiling. She smiled back at him and he leaned down to kiss her.
It was so nice laying there and cuddling. It almost felt like the times before the fights. They were both quiet for a while until Neji spoke.
"You know I won't be able to just come over like this if you go to college out of state." He said while rubbing a finger up and down her arm.
Of course he had to bring up the one thing that caused all of their fights. Kiyomi did a small exhale, not wanting to ruin the moment they just shared.
"You act as if I've already decided to leave." She stated.
"But haven't you though?" Neji asked and waited for a response. When he didn't get one, he continued. "If you were going to stay here, you would've said it already."
"Not necessarily."
She heard him give a frustrated sign. Then she felt his hand on her chin, turning her head so she could face him. She looked into his eyes, those pale eyes full of emotion. He kissed her deep, almost like he was breathing her in.
"I love you." Neji said after the kiss. Before she could respond, he continued. "And its because I love you that I can't lose you."
Kiyomi turned her body around completely and put her hand on his face. She looked deep into his eyes.
"You're not going to lose me Neji." She said sternly. "I love you and going to different colleges is not going to change that."
Neji had a doubtful look on his face.
"It might." He started while taking her hand into his. "You have to admit things have changed between us. You can't deny it."
"I know." She said sounding dejected. "Let's just talk about this tomorrow, I'm tired."
Kiyomi was tired but mostly she just didn't want to delve into this right now. To know that she was growing apart from the person she loved, it was something she didn't have the strength for.
She fell asleep in Neji's arms. The next morning, she awoke to a kiss on her forehead. She opened her eyes to see Neji fully dressed.
"Sorry I woke you but I have get to work soon." He said standing up and walking over to her dresser. He found her an oversized t-shirt, probably one of his. "I didn't want you waking up and I was gone." Neji said while handing it to her.
"Okay." She said simply while putting it on. She wasn't a morning person and having to talk as soon as she wakes up was one of her least favorite things.
"I'll call you later." He gave her a quick kiss and was out the door.
Kiyomi just laid back down. She needed more hours of sleep.
A few hours later, Kiyomi got up and took a shower. She decided to throw on some pajamas pants and a long sleeve shirt since she wasn't going anywhere. She figured she would just hang around her house and work on some homework. When she was done with that, she checked her phone and replied to a few texts. Then she went downstairs to see what her mom was up to.
Her mom was sitting at the kitchen table, doing some work on her laptop. Kiyomi grabbed an apple from the fridge and sat down across from her.
"What are you working on?" She asked while taking a bite of her fruit.
"Just doing a profile on a patient of mine." Her mom said while never taking her eyes off the screen.
"Who's the patient?"
"You know I can't tell you that." Her mom answered while continuing to type.
Kiyomi just nodded while playing with one of the place mats on the table. As a little more silence went by, Kiyomi spoke again.
"Where's Dad?"
"In the garage doing something."
Kiyomi could see her mom was busy so she stood up to go talk to her dad but before she moved her mom spoke again.
"Speaking of your father, I don't think he would appreciate it if he knew what you and Neji were up to last night." Her mom said while moving her eyes up to meet hers.
Kiyomi was at a loss for words. She made sure to stay quiet last night. Maybe she could act like she didn't know what her mom was talking about but her mom would know she was lying. And now she was starting to blush. How did her mom know?
"W-What do you mean?" She stuttered with a slight blush on her face.
Her mom put her hands under her chin and both elbows on the table before speaking.
"Neji bumped right into me this morning, so don't bother lying."
'Seriously Neji.' She thought to herself.
"I'm sorry mom." Was all she could say.
"Were you being safe?"
"Oh god mom, please." Kiyomi was embarrassed enough without having to hear the safe sex talk. She was sure her mom already knew she wasn't a virgin but they never talked about it.
"Sweetheart, I was young once so I'm not going to be too hard on you."
Kiyomi released a small breath of relief.
"With that being said, a little more discretion would nice."
"Okay, it won't happen again." Kiyomi gave her mom a small smile.
"I hope not, if it does, I'll have a talk with Neji myself." Her mom stated then went back to typing.
Kiyomi just nodded and quickly exited the kitchen. She decided to check in on her dad so she walked outside to the garage but stopped right in her tracks when she saw who her dad was talking to. It was Itachi Uchiha.
'What the hell?' She was trying to figure out why Itachi would be in her garage talking to her father.
Her dad noticed her standing there and called her over. As she walked closer, Itachi looked up and smiled at her and she automatically smiled back.
"Hi uhh, what's going on?" She asked towards her dad but the question was more for Itachi.
"This young man was looking for you but I'm afraid I distracted him with this dog house I'm building." Her father said while putting an arm around her.
"Why are you building a dog house? We don't have a dog." She stated looking up at her father.
Her father laughed before responding. "Just a fun project to work on in my spare time. I might sell it, if it turns out good."
"I think it will sir, you seem to have all the dimensions correct." Itachi said while looking at the wood Kiyomi's father had cut out.
"Thank you again for the help…" Her father said pausing while reaching for Itachi's hand.
"Itachi Uchiha sir." Itachi replied shaking her father's hand.
"Alright well I need something to drink, would either of you like anything?" Her father asked looking between them.
"No thank you." Itachi said politely and Kiyomi shook her head in response.
With that her father went through the garage door and disappeared.
"Cute pjs." Itachi said after a brief moment of silence. She looked down at her pants, remembering what she was wearing.
"You're wondering why I'm here aren't you?" He continued.
"Well the thought did cross my mind." Kiyomi said looking back up at him.
Itachi took a step closer, until he was right in front of her. Looking deeply into her eyes, he reached his hand and grabbed something off the work desk behind her.
"To return this." He said while holding the plaid shirt she was wearing last night at the bonfire.
"Oh, I didn't realize I left it." She said clearly discomposed by how close they were. When she reached for it, he backed the shirt away from her.
Kiyomi tilted her head to the side slightly as Itachi smirked at her.
"Did you come here to bring me my shirt or to play games?" She stated while folding her arms.
"Perhaps both." Itachi said while putting both hands behind his back along with Kiyomi's shirt.
Kiyomi found herself smiling again. She couldn't explain it. She would normally be irritated with someone who did this but with Itachi, she was intrigued.
"If you can answer this question correctly, I will give you your shirt back. If not, then I get to take you to dinner." Itachi stated while smirking.
She was a little taken back by the last part. Dinner? Was he serious?
"Why?" She asked genuinely confused.
Itachi looked around the room before speaking. "I was hoping we could be friends. To be friends, we must get to know one another. So dinner seems like a good opportunity to do just that."
Kiyomi bit her lip and looked around to avoid eye contact with him. Was this even a good idea? If she answered incorrectly, it would just be dinner. She wouldn't be doing anything wrong.
She sighed before answering. "Fine, what's the question?"
Itachi had a look on his face as if he knew he'd already won.
"The question is, how did I know where you lived?"
Kiyomi hadn't even thought about how he knew where she lived. Obviously Naruto or Sasuke told him. Naruto would have offered to drop it off himself, something Sasuke wouldn't have bothered to do. So it had to be Sasuke.
"Sasuke told you." She stated knowing she had to be right.
Itachi smiled and started handing her the shirt. When she reached for it, he pulled it back.
"Wrong."
"What? I can't be."
Itachi fold his arms and answered. "I'm afraid so. See it was the blonde that told me, not my little brother."
"Hmm, I would've thought Naruto would offer to drop it off." Kiyomi said while looking puzzled.
"Well he and Sasuke were a little busy." Itachi said with a suggestive look. "So Naruto gave me your address, probably to just get rid of me."
Kiyomi giggled a little, knowing exactly what Itachi meant by 'busy'. "He probably was trying to get rid of you."
"Well I'll pick you up at 7." He said as he started walking out of the garage.
"Wait. Tonight?" She said as she went after him.
"Yes tonight. You're not busy, are you?" He asked while stopping by his car. And it was a nice car. A black Mercedes.
"Well no but…"
"Great. Wear something nice." Was all he said before getting into his car and driving off.
Kiyomi figured she looked like an idiot just standing in her driveway so she went back inside and up to her room. As a few hours went by she took another shower, did her hair and her makeup. Not too much, just a little mascara and eye shadow. Then she got dressed. She didn't know where they were going so she decided on a simple sleeveless black dress and black heels. She looked at herself in the mirror, why did she feel so nervous.
'Calm down Kiyomi, its not a big deal. Its just dinner with a friend.' If she could even call Itachi a friend seeing as she barely knew him. While looking herself over, her thoughts were interrupted by her phone ringing. She checked the caller id and saw it was Neji.
"Hello." She answered while taking a seat on her bed.
"Hey. What are you up to?" Neji asked through the phone.
Should she tell him she was going out? Why did she suddenly feel guilty? Honesty would be best, she wasn't doing anything she had to lie about.
"I'm heading out to get some food."
It was technically the truth.
"Okay, I was going to come over but they needed me stay later today. I'll probably go home and pass out."
Kiyomi could hear how tired he was in his voice.
"Why did you have to stay late?" Kiyomi asked while propping her phone between her shoulder and ear so she could put her necklace on.
"Someone called in and we got busy. I guess everyone's car decided to break down today." He let out a small chuckle.
Kiyomi snickered. Working at a garage usually kept Neji very busy but he loved it. He just loved cars in general.
"Hey, why didn't you warn me that you ran into my mom this morning?" She asked remembering the embarrassment.
Neji got quiet for a second like he had to remember it.
"It totally slipped my mind, sorry. What she say?"
"Oh only that she knew we were having sex last night." Kiyomi said while rolling her eyes.
Neji laughed like it was the funniest thing in the world.
"You laugh now but you'd be dead if she said anything to my dad about it."
"Your dad loves me." Neji stated and Kiyomi could hear someone in the background saying something to him.
"Kiyomi I have to get back to work but I'll text you when I get off."
"Okay, love you."
"Love you too." He said back before hanging up.
Kiyomi looked at the time on her phone and saw it was almost seven. She thought maybe she should just call Itachi and cancel. Then she remembered she didn't have Itachi's number. She let out a frustrated sigh before standing up. As she was heading to take one last look at herself, she heard the doorbell ring. She grabbed her wallet then proceeded down stairs.
When she reached the bottom of the stairs she saw her mother talking to Itachi. He was dressed in all black as well. Black dress pants, black t-shirt, black dinner jacket, and black shoes.
Itachi's attention left her mother and went straight to Kiyomi. He looked to be in awe. Her mother turned around when she saw Itachi's eyes go elsewhere. Her mother raising an eyebrow when she saw her daughter.
"What? Do I look okay?" Kiyomi asked looking down at her outfit.
"You look absolutely stunning." Answered Itachi with a serious look on his face.
Kiyomi smiled but it faded when she saw her mom was giving her a confused look.
"Kiyomi can I have a word with you in the kitchen?" Her mother asked but it was more of a statement.
She gave Itachi an apologetic look and followed her mother to the kitchen.
"Where are you going? Who is that guy?" Her mother asked as soon as they were out of earshot.
"His name is Itachi." Kiyomi answered simply.
"I know his name. He introduced himself. I'm asking where are you going with him? And how old is he?" Her mother asked while peeping towards the door where Itachi was standing.
"I don't actually know how old he is to be honest. And we're just hanging out."
"You're not dressed as if you're just 'hanging out'." Her mom said while folding her arms.
"Mom it's not a big deal. I have to go."
Her mother let out a sigh. "Just be careful."
Kiyomi gave her mom a kiss on the cheek before saying okay and heading back towards Itachi.
"You ready to head out?" Itachi asked while opening the front door. Kiyomi smiled and nodded before going out the door and towards his car.
Itachi walked over to her side and opened and closed her door for her. She noticed his car smelled exactly like the cologne he was wearing, but it wasn't too strong. She buckled her seatbelt when Itachi got in and started the car. They rode in silence for bit until Itachi spoke.
"You really do look beautiful."
Kiyomi found herself blushing. "Thank you. I was hoping I dressed for the right restaurant."
"You did. I have reservations at La Rosa D'oro."
"The Italian restaurant? They're pretty expensive." Kiyomi said looking at him. She didn't want Itachi to spend a lot of money on her.
"I don't mind spending money on beautiful women." Itachi said as if he could read her mind. Before she could protest, he continued. "So what did your mom have to say about me?"
"What do you mean?"
"When she pulled you into the kitchen. I assumed you two were speaking of me." He said while smirking at her.
"Oh." Kiyomi turned her head to face the road. "She was just wondering how old you were."
Itachi let out a chuckle. "I'm 21. And you are?"
"18."
"I figured that. She seems very nice. Your mom." He added as if to clarify.
"She is but she can have her moments."
"I'm sure you can have your moments as well." Itachi said while giving her a side glance.
"You're hilarious." She said while rolling her eyes. "This is a nice car."
"Thank you. Black is my favorite color, in case you hadn't noticed."
"I never would have guess." She said sarcastically.
"What's your favorite color?" He asked while stopping at a red light.
"I like black as well. And also light blue." She answered.
They continued to chat until they arrived at the restaurant. When they entered, Itachi gave the waiter his name and he showed them to their seats. Itachi put his hand midway Kiyomi's back to guide her to the table and pulled out the chair for her. The waiter asked if he could start them off with something to drink and Itachi ordered a bottle of wine. When the waiter disappeared to go get the wine, Kiyomi spoke.
"You know I'm underage."
"They don't know that." Itachi smirked while looking over the menu. Kiyomi gave a little giggle before looking around the room. She understood why the restaurant was so expensive. They had a waterfall, a fish tank, and everything looked fancy.
"Do you have an idea on what you would like? You can order whatever you want."
"You may regret saying that." Kiyomi said while opening her menu and crossing her legs.
"Well I like it when a girl is not afraid to eat in front of me."
"I have no reason to be afraid to eat in front you. It's not like I have to impress you."
"Trust me, I'm already impressed by you." He said simply causing Kiyomi to look up from her menu.
"Is that so? What have I done to impress you?"
Itachi laid his menu on the table, then replied.
"Well for one, your personality. You seem like someone who knows how to have fun but is also content with staying home. You're very mature for your age and ambitious. I like that about you. Also your dress."
Kiyomi did a quick look down.
"What about my dress?"
Itachi bit his lip slightly but paused before he spoke.
"I'd rather not say." Said Itachi, picking his menu up again.
Kiyomi reached over and took the menu from him. Itachi looked to be a bit surprised at the action but replaced the look with a smile.
"Tell me. What about my dress?"
"I was going to say how beautiful it looks on it. And how alluring you look in it." He said staring deep into her eyes.
The look Itachi was giving her seemed to have her in a trance. Like maybe she could get lost in those dark eyes. She snapped out it when the waiter returned, bringing them their wine.
"Are you two ready to order, or would you like more time?" The waiter asked them.
Kiyomi cleared her throat before telling him yes. She felt a little silly for getting flustered under Itachi's gaze but decided not to think too much on it. They both ordered their food and as they ate, they had a nice conversation. Itachi asked Kiyomi different kinds of questions about her life and what she liked to do in her spare time. They also learned different things they both had in common. One in particular was watching historical tv shows and movies. They even exchanged numbers during the meal. Kiyomi ended up drinking two glasses of wine and she already felt a little tipsy. She was such a lightweight. Before leaving, Itachi paid the bill and left a generous tip. When Kiyomi stood up she felt a little wobbly so Itachi put his arm around her to help her steady herself.
"I'm okay." She stated smiling at him.
When they both got into Itachi's car, Kiyomi checked her phone to see the time. It was around 8:30 and she noticed she had a text from Neji.
'Just got off work. I'm going straight to bed.'
She didn't feel the need to reply as the message was from about 30 minutes ago. She figured Neji would already be asleep.
"I know this place that plays really good music." Itachi said interrupting her thoughts. "Would you like to go?"
Kiyomi thought for a second. It was still pretty early and she wasn't really ready to go in just yet. She was having a nice time and it had been a while since she'd been out without any drama.
"Sure that sounds like fun."
Itachi smiled at her while starting the ignition. They drove while listening to some soft music. Kiyomi felt so relaxed she almost wanted to fall asleep but it didn't take them long to get to the place Itachi was talking about. As they walked in, the girl at the door greeted Itachi by name and smiled at him.
"Friend of yours?" Kiyomi asked as they were taking their seats in the middle of the room.
"I wouldn't say friends. I come here a lot so she knows me."
"Hmm." Kiyomi said with a slow nod.
Itachi studied her for a second, then he smirked. "Why do you ask? Jealous?"
Kiyomi scoffed at that. "No I'm not."
Itachi laughed as he put his arm around her chair but didn't say anything in response. Kiyomi took in her surroundings. There was a dance floor not far from the stage in front of them. The place wasn't too packed but there were a good number of people there. There was a bar towards the front of the room where they had entered and a few people sat there enjoying the alcohol and music. The current music being played was an up-tempo song.
"What do you think?" Itachi leaned over and asked in her ear so she could hear him over the music. "Of the bar."
"Its nice. Seems very quaint." She answered.
"Yeah that's what I like about it. The atmosphere and vibe here is something I enjoy. I hate packed night clubs so I come here when I want to go out."
"To be honest, it doesn't seem like your scene but I know I don't know you very well."
Itachi smiled. "That's why we should hangout more. Then you would know me."
Just as Itachi finished his statement, a waitress came by.
"Can I get you two anything?" The waitress asked. She looked a little old to be working at a bar but Kiyomi said nothing of it.
"Just a water for me." Itachi said giving the lady a polite smile.
"I'll have the same." Kiyomi answered.
The woman said she'll be right back with their order before walking away.
"Do you have a favorite type of flower?" Itachi asked casually while leaning over again.
"Uh, yes. I like orange roses. Why?"
"Just wondering. I took you for a tulip type of girl."
Kiyomi gave a breathy laugh. "Why would you think that?"
"Well let's see." Itachi started while rubbing his chin. "You seem to be laid back and carefree but I guess there's a passionate side of you I haven't seen yet.
"You can tell all that from what kind of flower I like?" Kiyomi asked with an eyebrow raised. That was quite an assessment Itachi was making of her. She was actually impressed a little by his observation. How many people paid that much attention to someone.
"Well I'm not one to brag but I do have a particular set of skills." He said while giving her his best Liam Neeson impression.
Kiyomi couldn't help but burst out into laughter. "I have to admit that was pretty good." She said smiling at him.
Just as Itachi was about to speak, the waitress arrived with their drinks.
"Two waters for the lovely couple." She said as she sat the glasses down on the table. She was gone before Kiyomi had a chance to correct her.
"Would you like to dance?" Itachi asked.
She wanted to but also thought maybe she shouldn't. The waitress had already mistaken them for a couple, maybe dancing would send the wrong idea to other people as well.
"I don't really know how." She lied.
"I don't believe that." Itachi said while standing up and extending his hand to her. He smiled at her and that smile made her take his hand.
When they reached the dance floor, the song changed from the up tempo, to a slow song. Kiyomi looked around awkwardly as other people other started coming together and moving to the song.
"Just relax." Itachi said while putting an arm around her back and pulling her closer. She decided to just go with the flow. People dance all the time. It doesn't mean anything. She put one hand on his shoulder and the older one on his bicep.
"I thought you didn't know how." He said as they rocked slowly from side to side.
"I guess its apart of my particular set of skills." Kiyomi answered, repeating his statement from before.
Itachi gave a breathy laugh into her ear, making a shiver go down her shine. He pulled her closer, until her face was just by his shoulder blade. She took a whiff of his cologne. The same masculine and graceful scent as before.
They both slowly pulled apart, just enough to look at each other. Itachi's face held so much passion, Kiyomi didn't know what to think.
Itachi leaned his head down, his face stopping just an inch from hers. She could feel his breath on her lips. Her judgement was getting cloudy, perhaps it was the wine from dinner or perhaps it was something else. She didn't know but whatever it was made her close the space between their faces. When their lips touched, it sent a spark of electricity through her body, something she hadn't felt in a long time.
Itachi kissed her intensely. She felt as if the world had disappeared. She put both hands around his neck, to pull him closer, which was impossible seeing as there was no longer any more space between them.
Then something in her said what are doing. This isn't right. Kiyomi immediately pulled away and out of Itachi's arms. She was breathing hard from the kiss. Putting her hand to her lips. Then she looked at Itachi who had a small look of surprise on his face.
"I…I have to go." She said not truly believing what she just did.
"I'm sor-"
"Can you just take me home please." Kiyomi interrupted, turning away from him and heading to their table to grab her things.
Itachi left money on the table for their untouched waters and they both went to his car. They drove in silence. Awkward silence. Kiyomi kept her eyes on the road, not saying a word. When they arrived at her house, Kiyomi reached for the door handle but Itachi grabbed her arm softly.
"Wait for a second, please."
Kiyomi stopped but didn't look at him.
"I want to apologize. I shouldn't have kissed you. I don't know what came over me." Itachi said as he released her arm.
"Technically I kissed you." Kiyomi said after a small moment of silence. She couldn't let him take all the blame. She was just as much at fault as he was, if not more.
"I supposed that's true." Itachi said causing her to look at him.
She couldn't deny he really was handsome and intriguing. There was something mysterious and dangerous about him. But she had a boyfriend and no matter how many fights they had, she wasn't a cheater. She wasn't unfaithful.
"It's okay Itachi. I just…it can't happen again." She said while shaking her head.
Itachi nodded.
"I hope we can still see each other. There's no reason for us not to be friends."
Kiyomi knew she should say no. No, we can't see each other, no we can't be friends. But she didn't because part of her wanted to be around him. It was something about him that pulled her in.
"Yeah we can. I better go before my parents wonder why I haven't come inside yet."
"Goodnight Kiyomi." Itachi said as she turned around to exit the car.
"Goodnight Itachi." She responded before closing the door. She walked into her house, closing the door behind her without glancing back.
She released a breath while laying the back of her head against the door.
'What did I just do?' She thought to herself feeling guilty.
