Disclaimer: I do not own The Hunger Games.

I stepped out of the train, feeling very sophisticated… Just because I rode on a fancy train. "Alex and I are heading to the Victor's Village, where we will be staying. You coming?" My mother asked. I should've said I'm coming Mother! What else would I be doing, strolling around in District Four without knowing any directions like an idiot?

But I wanted to explore the District. I wanted to find the most picturesque place of all, and I wanted to stay there and pretend I'm a part of the perfect picture. I wanted to see glimpses of District Four people's routines and I wanted to see things. It was a stupid urge, but I wanted to. So I told my mom that I'll meet her at this Annie's house in Victor Village.

Which is obviously a mistake. I was giddy with excitement, but as soon as my mom and my brother were out of sight, I felt lost. I just remember a really important thing… I don't know where the Victor's Village is.

I panicked for a few good minutes. What if something terrible happen, like an invasion or something and my brother and my mom were in danger and had to evacuate but they died for looking for me? What if I'll never found Victor's Village and they never found me either so I spend the rest of my life as a fisherman (or a fisherwoman?)

I decided to ask some locals about directions before someone found me and offer me to work at the dock.

I see a nice little girl selling bouquets of flowers, so I ask her for directions.

I would, if someone didn't bumped into me, making me fall into the soft sand. Thanks a lot.

"Watch where you're going, will ya?" I snapped as I struggling to stand up. "Watch where you're standing, will ya?" He snapped back. Who the hell did he think he is?

…Who the hell did I think I am?

Well, at least no one's injured. The sand is so soft, I would throw myself into it if this clumsy dude didn't do the deeds for me.

"Anyway," I tried to not yelling at him for making me fall into the sand. Its just sand. I shouldn't be angry. I'm not angry. "Do you know the way to Victor's Village?" I asked nicely. I was hoping for a Oh yeah! Let me escort you, and by the way, did you know that there's a really good ice cream parlour around here? or I don't know. I could use some ice cream right now.

But instead, he shot me an irritating look. "Fine, go ahead and mock me! Is it make fun of Annie Cresta's son, who didn't know the way to his own home about 7 years ago! How do you even know about that? Did oh-so-mighty Miss Calypso Garnier told you?"

I obviously don't know what to say. Who the hell is Calypso Garnier and why is he suddenly become a ranty pants about it? "No," I answered. "I'm genuinely lost."

"Even though it wouldn't hurt to know the story of how you lost your own way home when you were 7." I spoke, with a chuckle in-between the words. It sounds interesting, okay? And this guy is, I assume, Annie's son which means I'm going to stay at his home. What a coincidence. It wouldn't hurt to make friends now, right? Who knows, maybe he can fight and be my sparring buddy for the next 2 weeks.

"Yes, of course I will tell you just so you and- and this little shit right here can laugh about me." He grumbled, and then I realised his eyes were fixed on something - someone - running behind me.

A girl, taller than me, huffed and stands beside the dude. She has long jet black hair with blue streaks on the left side, its ends slightly curled. Her eyes are piercing blue, her skin is pale. Paler than the guy - oh god I realised I don't even know his name - but tanner than me. Her lips formed a sly smirk, and her pointed eyebrows are arched. She looks like the goddess of rock or something. In other words, she's drop dead gorgeous.

"Hey Finn! Who's this?" She asked, her voice is bell-like. If Ella's lemonade takes a physical form… Okay, I need to stop thinking about it.

"This is… I don't even know, actually. Who are you?" He asked. The two people sets their eyes directly into me, and suddenly I'm lost at words.

I just realised how, err, good looking the dude is. His eyes are sea-green, and it sparkles just like the way the sea glistened when the sun shine appears. He's tan, and muscular, and tall, and his hair is sandy brown. His jawline looks like it could cut someone, just like how the girl's winged eyeliner probably could impale a weak willed men. The dude's eyes is like surface of the ocean, while the girl's eyes is like the depth of it. Her eyes compliments the blue streaks she had, and suddenly, with my own basic blonde hair and not-so-special and doesn't-reflects-anything grey eyes, I feel self conscious.

I gulped. "Scarlet Everdeen," I said. "Or Mellark. Whichever, it doesn't really bothers me. I just prefers Everdeen more." I added.

The girl's eyes widen. "Ooh, she's the one who's supposed to stay at your house for two weeks!" She elbows the guy excitedly, and he rolls his eyes. "We have to hang out sometimes. There's so many places in District Four that you need to see. By the way, I'm Calypso Garnier." She smiled. "The high and mighty," I smiled back.

"Ah, I see Finn has spoken highly of me? I thought you two just met."

"We did just met,"I said. "And can you show me the way to the Victor Village? My mother and brother are there."

"Gladly. And Finn, you should pay attention. It'd be a little embarrassing if Scarlet, a newcomer, remembers the route better than you, yes?" She chuckles.

"That was 11 years ago, geez! Can't you people just let go?" He fumed, but trailing after Calypso anyway.
