A/N: Oh my god! It's been a while! As a writer, I am always busy with commissions and requests on deviantart. But I've put the rest of them on hold and closed everything down so I can get personal work done, including this story. I've even put some stories on hold to finish this and my other one that I am working on. /so basically I'm working on two stories at the same time x3./
Hope you continue to be patient with me and read the updated chapters of I'll Be Your
Everything. In case I didn't mention this before, this story will be set a little before and during DMC4 and maybe during DMC2.
Oh, and something I want to add, the original Devil Cry Story of mine has over 7,000 views on Fanfiction . net even though I reuploaded it after deleting it about 2 years ago. This is a really popular story of mine. Thanks everyone!~ But if there is something not to your liking, I will be revising it when I get more time to read over and edit c:
I only own Faith, the plot, and other OCs, besides Hope whom belongs to mintybat /a.k.a. Cheshire-zombie/ on deivantart. DMC related material/characters belong to Capcom and the creator of the DMC video game series.
Hope you enjoy this long awaited chapter!
I want to be with you
April 11, 2013
Dear Diary,
About a month ago Hope turned 18. As I have written in my last entry Dante helped out with the party. He bought pizza and soda.
I baked a cake for her and she liked it, of course. It was chocolate cake with butter-cream icing, her favorite. For something extra, I got her a box of strawberry pocky.
And later that night I felt guilty because Hope said that she wished she had someone like Dante. I couldn't help but feel that she is jealous of Dante's relationship with me. There isn't anyone in the whole world like Dante.
He's one of a kind.
Faith remembered that Janurary when she was with Dante and her parents had come to see what she had done. Her parents' disapproval told her that she would find someone else. But living with someone like him for a year was enough for her to get to know someone, wasn't it?
Her parents still didn't like the idea of Faith dating someone who was half demon. She had told them again and again that it didn't matter what he is she loved him and always will. She went back to writing.
Next month I will be 21. I am planning to find someplace to live. Or maybe live with Dante.
She sighed heavily.
I don't know just yet of what I want to do. I want to live with Dante but that would mean that he would have to turn his attic into a bedroom for me, and he will need that attic to put away some of his old "trophies" to be replaced by new ones, or he would have to make room in his bedroom to put my clothes and... well, my belongings. I've gotta go talk to him and my mom and dad before I put anything into action.
She closed her diary. She has written on the last page. This book is contained with 2 years of Dante and her from next month.
"But when should I tell them?" Her birthday was a little over a month away and there was so much to plan, so much to do. She had to pack everything in her room and find somewhere to live that was near her school at least.
She could drive extra miles to her parents house or to Devil May Cry. But what was she going to do for a job to earn money to pay for her home? She wasn't exactly sure what she should be, because there were slim chances that her poems and short stories would get published to magazines anyway.
Even though she received positive comments and critiques on her work, she still feels like she isn't writer worthy to have a career as an author like she wanted to. And the more she thought about all of this, the more her head began to pound under the overwhelming pressure of becoming a more responsible adult. She sighed deeply and heavily once again.
"I'll talk to mom and dad first, then I'll talk with Dante." A moment of silence filled her room. "And even if they say I can't live with Dante, I will if I choose to. They can't do anything. "
She rambled on to herself about how her parents didn't want her to do this or that. To summarize the trust between Dante and her parents were 95%. The other 5% was another thing that she wouldn't understand, for she trusted him 100%, even though Dante showed his true self to her parents.
"I'll do that sometime in the next few weeks. It's already late." She stretched her arms in the air and got up from her desk. She didn't have anymore homework to do because it wasn't due till next week, and she had already begun on it.
It was after midnight. Tomorrow (technically today) was Friday, and that meant a weekend. The students there at her University held parties, but she didn't want to go to their parties. She didn't feel safe around anyone who couldn't hold their alcohol.
This weekend she wanted to go hang out with Dante. It's been a while since they've been on a date. Maybe this would be the weekend to do so.
Reaching for her cellphone she dialed the number to Devil May Cry. The ringing in her ear made her more anxious with every ring. Finally she heard a click and then heard Dante say,"Devil May Cry."
"Dante, it's me."
"Hey. I thought you'd be in bed by now since, you know, you've got school and all in the morning."
"Yeah. I couldn't sleep just yet. I need to ask you something first."
"Okay. Lay'em on me." he replied.
"I was wanting to spend the weekend with you, since I'm out for the whole weekend after 1 o'clock tomorrow, and maybe we could go to a pizza joint for a date. Do you want to pick me up in the morning, or in the afternoon? My parents have the car this weekend because the other car is in a shop." Faith asked him.
Dante was thinking about it. Last time Faith walked on her own to school Sin was stalking her. And he didn't want to do all of that again, recalling how Sin just wouldn't die and possessed her, too.
"I'm not much of a early morning person, but..." Faith was awaiting for Dante's answer. Her stomach bubbled with anticipation.
"I'll pick you up in about 6 hours. Go get some sleep." Dante said. He loved hearing her voice again. It seems like forever that he last heard from her.
"Okay, I will." she said to him. "I'll see you then." Dante told her "See ya" before hanging up.
She flipped her cell phone closed and sat it on her bed side table. She put everything school related in her backpack and set out her clothes. She then slipped under her covers and fell asleep.
~*~* Next Day, Early Morning*~*~*
Dante had come around 7. It was a good thing that Faith woke up at 6 and was done by 6:30. She made herself a bowl of cereal and sat down to eat it.
She was finished and washed her bowl. She put up the now cleaned dishes and waited for Dante. Unexpectedly his horn honked.
She picked up her school bag and headed out the door. She decided to wear some clothing that she wouldn't usually wear, like tight red shirts that molded her, skinny jeans, and some black boots with buckles on the side. She looked like she was going out somewhere, which was what she was doing; she planned to dress like this so she wouldn't have to come home and change.
Dante looked at Faith's new outfit and liked what he saw. Her long brown hair was wavy and had more volume than usual, she had some makeup on, but not too much, and she had on a tight shirt, tight pants, and fitting black boots with buckles. He gave a whistle.
"Looking good, babe." he said to her, throwing her a flirty smile. He saw her blush. She was as pretty as ever, though this time it was different.
She walked to the passenger side of the car and let herself in. Dante looked at her, hoping that he didn't make her mad today. "You don't have to be a gentleman every time, you know. I just wanna get to class and study some. I've got a test today in Biology." she answered to him, smiling.
Dante then drove away from the house and onto the open road. It wasn't 7:30 yet but Dante was driving like it was. Pretty soon, faster than she thought, they were at the university.
Faith grabbed her book bag and stepped out of his red car that he had Morisson fix. She turned around to say something to Dante. "Remember, 1 o'clock." she told him.
"Yeah, I got it." he assured her. She winked at him and replied,"Okay, I'll see you in about five hours." Dante drove away to do his own thing, maybe come up with some cash to have for this weekend.
Faith walked onto the campus and was met by Angela, the long blonde haired, supermodel girl who taunted her before the whole Sin and the opening the portal of Hell Apocalypse started about half a year ago. "Hey, Faith." She looked at the clothes that she was wearing.
"Are you going somewhere?" she asked. Faith never wore clothes like this before. This was a change that she had never seen.
"Yeah. I'm going on a date with Dante tonight and spending the weekend with him." Faith replied to Angela's question. Angela small smiled and said,"I'm happy for you. I've had many dates but they never turned out exactly the way I wanted them to."
Angela still gave her a jealous look. "You're lucky that you found someone like him. Is he... that kind of guy?" she asked, and Faith knew what she was meaning. "Yeah, he goes to parties and get drunk, but I'm used to it. He can do what he wants. I'm not chaining him down and keeping him at home all day, or letting him get wrapped around my finger."
Faith went on saying that she loved Dante and wanted him to have as much freedom as she does. She wasn't going to keep him on a leash. But she was going to deny him kisses and such for a while if he kept on with his flirting big time with other women and being so pigheaded.
"I've gotta go. I got some quick reviewing to do before a test." Faith never wanted to be best friends with Angela. Deep in her gut she felt that soon Angela would come running to her for advice or something just to be near Dante.
She made it to her first class and then took out her text book and notebook for notes. The whole hour went by faster than usual, and then she went to her next class and her next to last class. Taking the test was a snap, so easy, when she quick studied one more time.
Checking her cell phone clock it was about 1 o'clock. Just another minute or two. She begged the clock to hurry.
Her stomach growled because she skipped from eating lunch. She wanted to save her appetite for pizza since that was then only thing she or Dante could afford right now. The devil hunting jobs went nowhere with Lady taking the money for the debt that Dante owed her.
Her friend, Lana, had been waiting all class period to ask her something. About 30 seconds was left of class. "Hey, are you going somewhere special?"
"No, not really. Just... on a date with Dante at a pizza place." she replied, her cheeks trying to to blush. She never talked about Dante in front of her friend. She didn't think that Lana, or any other girl, needed an explanation about Dante since everyone knew who he was now.
The bell rang. Students got up from their seats to exit. Faith gathered her stuff and was making her way outside. She saw Dante waiting for her.
It was a warm afternoon with a bit of wind. "Ready?" "Yep."
She hopped in the car and Dante drove off. Faith put her bag under the seat and threw school troubles in the breeze. Her stomach growled again and when Dante looked over she couldn't help but blush.
The smirks he gave her always made her feel this way. "What're you looking at, cowboy?" she said to him. She couldn't think of a better comeback than that.
She looked down at her hands and kept quiet. Dante turned on the radio, and a song that talked about a club and what went on the club, kinda like how most songs were now. She thought of her and Dante, and she blushed red again.
"What a dirty girl you are." Dante teased. "Ohhh... Shut up." she replied. "That's not what you said last time." he retorted back.
Her cafe eyes went wide as saucers and she blushed the reddest red, if that was even possible. Faith could only let out,"You jerk." meanwhile Dante smiled and chuckled. She hugged herself to keep her from smacking or punching him, or maybe run a bullet through his head.
She stared out in the distance and dozed off in nothingness. "Hungry?" Dante asked, wondering if that's what made her more irritable than usual. He knew her too well.
She didn't answer. Why did she have to answer? Her stomach growled and answered for her.
Finally at the pizza place, Faith and Dante took their seats. Faith said,"I'll eat whatever pizza you'd like." Dante ordered a pizza with no black olives.
When it arrived she grabbed a slice and ate while Dante ate his. She drank and filled another glass to fill herself up. Dante needed the energy but she didn't need the extra fat than what her already curvy body had.
There was still sunlight to kill. What else could they possibly do? It was too early for bars, she thought.
Dante had gone to bars at daylight before. Dante drove them to a hill that overlooked the city where they could watch the sunset. "Have you been watching romance movies?" she asked him, not really caring if he did or didn't.
He didn't say anything, only looked at her with a small smile. "Dante... I need to tell you that I want to move in with you... or at least find a place somewhere close to you." She told him of her plans.
"I don't mind you moving in. Just as long as you don't do anything that'll include renovation and all that." he replied to her. Faith then said,"Well, that's just it. I don't know what to do."
Dante told her that he saw an apartment for rent near his place. "That'd be alright." she said. Now to tell her parents. Since this afternoon she's had many emotions bottled inside her.
The last of the sun's light was gone and Dante drove them back home for the start of a weekend. Faith always had nostalgia whenever she came to Devil May Cry. The office was neater than the last time she'd been here.
There wasn't so many pizza boxes laying around but there was still beer cans. She sighed and started dusting things. The place wasn't too dusty though.
"You haven't done any spring cleaning, I see." Faith smiled at him. "I don't mind that though. I hate spring cleaning, especially when there's so much stuff to sort through and clean." The dust always made her sneeze so she had to have a mask over her face to keep from sneezing so much.
It was probably close to midnight before Dante invited her to sleep in his bed. In the back, where the bathroom was, there was Dante's room. She'd never been back here before.
"Is there any other places I've never been?" she asked. "Probably." Dante replied, sending her a smirk. And she knew what he was implying.
"Get your mind out of the gutter, Dante." Faith rolled her eyes at him. She followed him down the short hall that had wooden floors and stone walls like the rest of the place. Opening the door, she saw a chair and a queen size bed that had white cotton sheets.
She went to a side of the bed that apparently was Dante's side and she stripped down to her underwear, leaving her shirt on as she took off her bra and then threw her clothes over the back of the chair. She got under the sheet and smelled Dante. His scent was all over this bed.
Dante went to the other side and stripped down for bed. Faith was turned away from him but when she peeked over her shoulder she saw him naked, as in naked with not one piece of clothing on him. Even though she saw him like that before, her stomach still fluttered with wings of butterflies brushing along inside her.
He got in and turned to face her back. "Are you going to look at me?" he asked. There was something in his voice that made her turn to look into his eyes.
Dante layed on his back now, and he waited for Faith to come to him. She scooted closer to him and lid her head on his chest. His skin was so warm and he smelled like fresh soap. He must have had a shower today.
She placed her left hand over his heart and closed her eyes. She was sleepy after sleeping late last night and then having to wake up early this morning. Dante dropped a kiss on the top of her head as she drifted off to sleep.
In the middle of her sleep, she mumbled,"I want to be with you forever." Half asleep, Dante heard what she said. He'd love that.
But only time would tell of the future that lay ahead for him and Faith.
