Bobbi woke up to the sound of her alarm beeping. She reached out and snoozed it without even opening her eyes and remained laying in the bed. She took a deep breath and slowly let it out. Only then she opened her eyes and sat on the bed.
She rubbed her eyes a little and yawned stretching her arms above her head.
"Morning." she mumbled to herself, got out of the bed and went to take a shower.
Bobbi stripped off her clothes and stepped into the shower. She started the water.
She cleaned herself and then she just stood there enjoying the water running down her body. Then she suddenly turned the temperature to as cold as possible.
It took a lot not to scream, but she managed. Her body was awakened by a jolt of energy. That was just what she needed in the morning.
She stopped the water and stepped out of the shower. She grabbed her towel and dried herslef.
Bobbi opened her locker and grabbed some underwear, a white tank top, grey cargo pants and a black hoodie. She put her underwear and the tank top on and started drying her hair.
Then there was a knock on her door.
Bobbi stopped and put the towel on the bed and went to answer the door.
When she opened the door, there was Clint standing in the hallway dressed in his training clothes; black sweat pants and a dark purple hoodie.
"Morning." he greeted.
Bobbi noticed he was looking at her in a similar way like he had in the cafeteria the other day. Then she realized she had no pants on.
Way to go, Morse. She thought. At least you're not blushing like some teenage fangirl.
"Good morning, Clint."
"Just came to wake you up, but I see that's already taken care of." he said and Bobbi could swear she noticed the smallest hint of smile tugging on his features.
"Meet me outside in five." he continued.
She nodded her head.
"Okay, I'll be there."
"Good." and with that he turned on his heel and left.
Bobbi closed the door and quickly dried her hair and threw rest of her clothes on.
She closed her room behind her and jugged up the stairs and out of the base.
Clint was there leaning against one of the trucks. Bobbi came to him.
"You're on time. I like that. Okay, Bobbi. We'll start with a jog to warm up. Stretch a little and then we go." Clint told her.
The warm up jog turned out to be three hours of running. When they came back, Bobbi was all covered in sweat and panting heavily.
Clint was as well, but not so much as she was.
She was stretching her legs to prevent any spasms when Clint tapped on her shoulder. She straightend her pose and turned to see him handing her a water bottle.
"Thanks." she said and took it from him. She opened it and took a slow sip. It was a heavenly feeling after the run.
Clint sipped his water as well and watched Bobbi.
He had to admit, he had a feeling that she had the potential to become a great field agent. And as the early morning sun was shining on her, he also had to admit she was really beautiful. Her blonde hair looked like pure gold in the sun light.
He shook his head a little.
C'mon, Barton, you're supposed to train her and work with her. So stop those thoughts.
The image of Bobbi in the tank top and her underwear wanted to creep into his mind, but he pushed it aside.
You're not a horny teenage kid with his hormones all over the place. You're a SHIELD agent. Yes, she's beautiful, but that's that.
"Let's head inside for some sparing" Clint said to Bobbi and led the way inside and to the sub levels.
Bobbi flew through the air and hit the mats hard. She didn't waste any time and got back up on her feet. She expected Clint coming at her in a hurry, but he just stepped a bit closer waiting for her to make the first move.
She tried to trip his legs, but he jumped backwards and then threw a fist at her. Bobbi blocked the blow and retorted with one to his ribs. She hit her target and he gave a little grunt.
Clint stepped on her foot and grabbed her arm and tried to toss her through his back. Bobbi wanted to twist his arm behind him, but before she could bring him to his knees, he slid between her legs with her still holding him and so she hit the floor again.
This time she came at him really fast, but as she was running towards him and about to punch him, he kicked her left leg right under the knee, grabbed her arm, twisted it behind her, took the other one and did the same. She tried to struggle, but it was to no good. He had her.
"I gotta admit, you're really good. You can adapt, improvise and are really quick."
She continued to struggle.
"Easy. You can get out of this."
"How?" she hissed.
She couldn't see him, but she just knew there was a smile on his face.
"Let me teach you. Turn your palms out."
Bobbi did as he told her.
"Now jerk with all you got and you'll break free."
She threw her hands quickly up and down and suddenly they were free from his grasp. She didn't hesitate, stomped on his foot, grabbed his arm and threw him on the mats. Clint got up, jumped back up and clapped.
"See? That's how you do it."
She smiled at him.
"Yeah. Thanks. Those were some great moves by the way. Did you learn those here or somewhere else?"
"Can't tell you all my secrets, can I? Hit the showers, get changed and meet me at the shooting range in 30."
Bobbi nodded her head yes.
"Okay, I'll be there."
All these hours and still going. They're gonna make a terminator out of me. She thought.
With no time to waste Bobbi went to take a quick shower in her room.
After that she dumped the soaked training atire in the laundry bin, got changed into fresh clothes and went to meet Clint at the shooting range.
On her way there she met Jessica. The black haired agent smiled at Bobbi.
"Meeting Clint, are you?"
"Yeah. I'm on my way to the shooting range." she said.
"He's gonna have you run the course. Just a heads up. Good luck."
Bobbi nodded.
"Okay. Thanks, Jess."
With that they both went about their bussines.
Bobbi got back to the training area and walked through the door to the shooting range.
Clint was there waiting for her. He was standing beside a table with all sorts of handguns on it.
The room was well lit and there were several doors leading to certain areas. The door on her right led to the shooting range, the door on the wall behind Clint was the entrance to the obstacle course and the one on her far left was the exit from it.
"You're gonna run the course. Only with a handgun and a knife today. We'll get to the bigger guns, don't worry"
He offered her a smile.
"It has nothing to do with you being a woman, don't worry. It's a standard procedure for everyone."
He said before she could object.
"I wasn't going to ask that." She told him.
Clint smiled again.
"Okay, then. Grab which ever you like and go inside when you're ready. Grab a knife as well."
Bobbi nodded and shifted her gaze on the table. She walked closer to it and decided to go with a Colt M1911. She grabbed it with her right hand, then took a fitting magazine with her left, put it in, chambered a round and made sure the safety was on.
"Okay, I'm gonna head up to observation, then it's showtime. Good aim in there and watch for the civies."
"Thanks." Bobbi said and came to the entrance to the course. She inhaled and exhaled a big breath, put the safety off, cocked the gun and got in.
The course was huge. It looked like it anyway. Bobbi took quick, but careful steps forward. The lights were dim, which made things a little harder, but that was the point, she assumed.
First targed popped out 10 meters in front of her. Bobbi's hands holding the Colt shot up and BLAM! She hit it with a perfect headshot. The target fell to the ground and Bobbi continued her way through the course.
As she went, she took down some other targets, some with her knife, and almost shot down a civilian, only spotting at the very last moment that it wasn't a target. She counted the shots she'd fired in her mind. She had three bullets left. She knew that if she ran out, she was going to have to count only on her knife.
Clint was sitting in the observation room upstairs tracking Bobbi's progress.
He was impressed, he had to admit that. What did Coulson mean when he said she needed some help, he didn't know. This girl had it all. Well, maybe she could get a little better with her hand to hand, but other than that he didn't see anything she would require help with. It seemed that she was a natural with a gun. Well, a hand gun anyway. But omething was telling him that the bigger guns were going to be even better.
He nodded his head aprovingly as he saw Bobbi run and take the down a far target with a shot, then sliding on her knee and knifing the target closer to her.
She had two bullets left as he counted it and three targets to go.
Clint smiled, he wanted to see what she was going to do. Based on what he'd seen so far, it was going to leave him impressed.
Bobbi ran as she saw the exit. Two targets popped up, one on her left and one on her right. She took down the one on the left and turned to the other one that was holding a kid hostage. Bobbi exhaled and held her breath for the briefiest of moments. A second later the target had a hole in its forehead, leving the kid unharmed. The gun clicked empty. She sprinted to the finish, but as she was nearing it, a target appeared right in front of the door. Bobbi took the knife and still running threw it at the target. It went down on the impact and she continued running.
As she ran by the downed target, she threw herself on the ground, made a roll and as she was rolling, she took the knife out. She got back up and ran out of the course.
Bobbi came to a stop and slowed down her breathing. Clint slid down the ladder and came to her.
"That was really nice. Espacialy at the end. I'm impressed."
Bobbi flashed him a smile.
"Did you expect I would faint or something?"
"Always the funny one." he said. "No, you just did really good, that's all."
"Thanks. Means a lot coming from you."
Clint nodded his head.
"Alright. We're done for the day. Go get yourself cleand up, and you're free to do whatever you like with the rest of the day."
"Thanks. See you later, sport." Bobbi said and started to walk away.
"What did you call me?" he asked her.
Bobbi turned to face him again. Her lips were turned in a teasing smile.
"What do you mean, sport?"
Clint smiled as well.
"Alright. I get it. Imma head upstairs and do absolutely nothing. See ya tomorrow."
"See you." Bobbi said.
Clint looked after as she was walking away until she disappeared behind the corner.
Gotta think of a nickname to call her. Clint thought and went upstairs to take a shower and relax.
