Thousands gathered to watch the tribute parade. In the front row were the families of those who had been reaped and were soon to enter the arena. They wept as the golden carriages drawn by various colored horses.

"Well this is a great turn out!" Shandra Jimenez pointed out.

"Yes, though it is a very important event." Toby Determined agreed.

"Of course it is, Toby, as the tribute parade is not just an opportunity for the tributes to show off their beautiful costumes, but it is also the first proper look the sponsors will get at the tributes." Shandra explained. As she spoke in a matter-of-fact way, it was clear she was unhappy about having to report live with Toby Determined.

The first carriage, drawn by a grey horse, showed off a young boy of around eight. On his head was a pirate hat, on his shoulder perched an elegant parrot. He looked smart in his pirate outfit.

"This is Gorney, I wonder where his partner is?" Toby Determined asked

"Gorney should've been paired with Pacifica Northwest, however she refused to go with him, as you will see when the next carriage comes into view." Shandra replied

As that was said, out came the next carriage carrying Pacifica and her two friends, Natalie and Patricia. They were dressed as 1920's show girls. Each of them had short silver sparkly dresses. In their hair were headbands complete with black feathers. Thick make-up covered their faces. The horse began to struggle.

"Well it looks as if the horse cannot take the weight of the three of them." Toby laughed.

"Yes, I don't believe the carriages were made to support three tributes." Shandra added

After hearing this Pacifica immediately acted and pushed Natalie out. Another empty carriage came into view, picking Natalie up.

Next out came Harry and Tess, dressed in suburban outfits. Tess was wearing a dress with horizontal baby blue and white stripes and a suburban shopper hat on her head with a matching baby blue ribbon. Harry was wearing a casual navy blue top with beige chinos.

"Tess and Harry's stylist have gone for a suburban approach to their costumes." Shandra began.

"Well that's interesting!" Toby sarcastically replied, rolling his eyes.

"Here comes the next pair, Smipper and Smabel." Shandra introduced.

Another carriage came into view and the two stood in there waving. Smabel was wearing a wavy blue dress to look like waves, her nails were painted ocean blue with darker tips to look like waves. Her make-up was mostly blue to go with the water theme that was chosen for them. Smipper was wearing a watery blue toga and a blue olive leaf crown.

The next four passed quickly.

"Next up Matthew and Millie, the two toughest" Toby introduced

"Yes, these two are expected to get the most sponsors" Shandra added

The two were dressed mostly in feathers. Millie smiled and waved, until suddenly she fell out of the carriage and the horse trampled her dress, ruining it. She got up and limped after the carriage.

"That looked painful" Toby sympathized.

"Looks like she'll be going into the arena with a few bruises" Shandra added.

The next carriage came in. Cashmere and Gideon. Cashmere was in stitches laughing for Millie falling out.

"Well it seems Cashmere dislikes Millie" Toby presumed.

"Yes, I wonder which one of these cousins we will be saying goodbye to first in the arena?" Shandra pondered.

The two were dressed in gold gladiator themed amour, complete with a 'winged' crown, which Gideon's hair towered well above.

"Next coming into view is Robbie and Wendy" Toby pointed out.

Wendy and Robbie were dressed in cowboy costumes. They each had cowboy hats on along with beige jackets, trousers and boots. Wendy had her hair in two plats hanging loosely down the side o f her face. Robbie attempted to kiss Wendy, however she slapped him.

"Looks like it's getting a bit violent down there, save that for the arena!" Shandra shouted.

"And last up the stars of the tribute parade! Dipper and Mabel" Toby introduced

Then finally Dipper and Mabel rode out in the most stunning costumes. Mabel wore a long and flowing black dress with silver sequins in the shape of stars, each one reflecting light on to each of the walls. Dipper wore a similar outfit, a black shirt and smart pants, also with silver stars on, however Dippers hair was combed back with excessive amounts of hair gel (as Gideon would) showing of Dipper's birth mark the "Ursa major" AKA: The big Dipper.

"Look at Dipper Pines' birthmark! It's a constellation!" Toby exclaimed.

"Must be where he gets his peculiar name from." Shandra insinuated.

The parade quickly came to an end with each of the tributes coming off their carriages. As Dipper and Mabel came down from theirs they noticed Gideon angrily glaring at them and Cashmere muttering to herself.

"What's their problem?" Mabel asked Dipper.

"Probably just jealous that we outshone them during the parade." Dipper guessed. He was correct.
