Kei was looking back at Kenta.
Neither boy was willing to move, to give up their spot in the bright life of the vampire girl they both loved.
That vampire girl was Karin. Except she wasn't really a vampire except she was because she spewed blood from her nose.
Karin, Kenta, Kei. It was a love triangle, a trial beyond words, beyond thought, beyond breath.
Kei's friend Katou stood off to the side. He wasn't really interested in anyone, except maybe Karin's hot, young-looking vampire dad. Katou was not part of the love triangle, but rather orbited off by himself, moving in his own systems, watching and being watched, filled with longing but never for Karin.
There were many battles, day after day, and blood, both from injuries and from nosebleeds. Every day Karin became closer to both the men who loved her.
Then one day Karin, Kei, Kenta and Katou all went on a picnic together.
However Karin nosebled all over the food so nobody ate anything, except for Kenta who thought it was ketchup at first but threw up as soon as he realized his mistake.
Kenta wiped his mouth and said to Karin, "Hey, both of us have done this now."
Karin agreed.
Kei could only stare in annoyance as Kenta and Karin bonded over their shared experience.
Kei wished that he'd thrown up a bunch of blood instead of Kenta.
However, it couldn't be arranged.
The black balls were quickly turning into blue balls, the blue balls of celibicy.
