Okay to start us off here is the next chapter to "Bear Oak Academy" I really didn't think it'd become as popular as it has been but there you have it. Thank you to all my readers and people who are following me. Please review, I live on reviews.
The first class went really well. It was Bear History Class, which Ursula discovered she really liked. They learned about famous Bears in history and about the founding of the Bear Oak College. The teacher was also friendly. He answered any question placed to him, even the really weird or stupid ones. He explained with a voice old with wisdom the answer to the question then continued on. Ursula could tell that in his prime he had been a force to be reckoned with, even though he was a middle seed.
No, the first class went great, it was after class that was annoying. Ursula was saying by to the boy who had sat next to her in class when she heard her name. She turned and there she saw McBear. Her whole face dropped from one of happy contentment to annoyed blankness. "What do you want McBear?" She asked refusing to call him by his first name.
This didn't seem to deter him. He fell in step with her, following a little too close to Ursula's liking. "Just wanted to walk you to your next class. No harm in that right?" She was about to respond when McBear tensed up. She looked at where his eyes were focused on and say Orson Bearington. He was headed in the opposite direction of them, but seeing McBear made him stop.
Orson smirked at McBear. "Good morning McBear," even though he was being civil Ursula could tell that there was hidden venom in his words. "Nice day we're having."
"And a good morning to you Bearington. Yes lovely weather." McBear had the same venom in his voice that Bearington had. Ursula looked outside o see it was raining.
She looked back at the two. "You two do realize that it's raining outside right? Not many people would call that a nice day.
Bearington looked down at Ursula a little confused then smirked. "Ah, McBear. I didn't know you were going for middle seeds as mates. Or is she just your pet?"
Ursula's fists clenched that the sentence. "I am nobodies pet," she said with more venom than either have them had used. "And I am certainly not his mate!" Furry rising Ursula found it hard to stop her tongue. "You high seeds are all alike! All you care about it mating and making more high seed babies! But I will not be a part of it and I will most defiantly be mating with anyone at this school!"
In a huff Ursula turned and headed to her next class leaving the two heavy seeds stunned. It had probably been a while since anyone had talked to them like that. Good Ursula thought as he rounded the corner. They could use a little more humility.
The next class Ursula had was Algebra, which wasn't particularly hard for her she just didn't like math in general. Plus the teacher was a complete hard ass. He caught one of the other student texting and he threw the phone out the window. Another person fell asleep at his desk and the teacher threw a book at him. Ursula would have to stay on her toes for this one.
After class was dismissed Ursula left the room only to find McBear leaning against the opposite wall. "Hi-ya." Ursula rolled her eyes and pretended not to see him as she walked past. He fell into step behind him. "You know you're really cute when you pretend to ignore me."
Frustrated Ursula asked, "Are you stalking me till i like you?"
McBear looked offended. "No, no of course not." Then with a sly look he asked, "Why is it working?"
"No," Ursula said bluntly. She brushed her shoulder length black hair out of her large round brown eyes. She had a small pouty mouth and a cute button nose. She knew she was cute, she just wished she wasn't so jerks like McBear would leave her alone.
McBear was blissfully unaware of her thoughts. He turned to her, blocking her path in the process. "Have you decided what you're going to do for the talent show?" He asked leaning down so they were eye level. Once again Ursula cursed her short stature.
"The what?" She asked not really interested but still was polite enough to ask.
The look on McBear's face was a mixture of surprise and amusement. "You never heard of the talent show?" Ursula shook her head. "Well basically all the girls get up on stage and perform a talent. It could be juggling, dancing, last year there was even a girl that did fire breathing."
A little sourly she replied. "So in other words its a chance for girls to strut around like peacocks looking for a mate."
"Pretty much." He didn't even try to hide it! "It's really poplar. they do it twice a year. Once in the beginning of the semester and one at the end.' he looked at his watch. "Crap I'm late for class!" McBear announced. "I'll see you later!"
As Ursula was about to turn the corner four girls surrounded her. Three of them looked to be a little older, but one looked like she was in her year. needless to say they were all much taller than herself. "Can I help you?" Ursula asked not sure what was going on.
it was a taller girl with brown hair that answered. In a growling voice she said, "You might feel special because McBear is paying you a little more attention. But don't even bother. he's a heavy seen and you're a medium seed."
Ursula smirked with understanding. "Oh I get it, you're jealous.' Ursula nearly laughed at how ridiculous this all was. "You don't have to worry. He's not really my type, so you four can have him all to yourselves."
They didn't seem to have heard her because one with sandy blonde hair stepped forward. "We won't let McBear mate with a little runt like you. So leave him alone."
"I wish that he would leave me alone." Ursula muttered under her breath. Then louder she said, "Alright I'll keep my distance. Now please let me by. i have a class to get to." She pushed through the three burley girls and headed to class.
Later in her dorm room Ursula had a pillow over her face. "I don't have a talent!" She repeated for the fifth time. Jessica sat at the end of her bed rubbing her leg in comfort.
"Is there really nothing you can do?" Jessica asked trying to help. "I mean can you sing?"
From under the pillow Ursula muttered, "I can but I'm not that good."
Jessica smiled. "You don't have to be good, you just have to do it. Besides you're not interested in getting a mate so it shouldn't bother you if you don't do well." Ursula sat up quickly the pillow falling to the floor.
In one movement Ursula was hugging Jessica with all her might. "You're right! I shouldn't care! I don't want to impress anyone so it should be fine." She smiled at her friend. "You're amazing."
Jessica shrugged. "Yeah I know."
