I ran and ran. I could hear the angry swarm gaining on me. I was exhausted and lost. For all I knew, I was running around in circles. But what I did know is that if I stop, I'm gonna get impaled by a thousand Beedrill.

"AXE! ARMOR! WHERE ARE YOU?!" I scream out as I run.

Branches whipped my face, legs and arms. I felt bad for Felicity, but I couldn't reach her pokeball without looking back. And who knows what would happen if I did.

But I guess even if I was looking forward, I was destined to fall. Literally. First I was running, next thing I know, I'm face down in the dirt.

I sit up and spit out some moss that made its way into my mouth. I look back to see what tripped me. What I saw was a white rope. I frowned in annoyance and reached down to pull it off. As soon as I grabbed it, I learned that it wasn't thread.

"WEBS?!" I screech in horror. And no sooner do I say that, then a Ariados lands next to my leg. Then another. And another.

Ever hear the phrase 'Out of the frying pan and into the fire'? Well I got out of the frying pan, only to fall into damn pot! I start to wiggle and squirm, trying to get away from the spiders. It was only then that I heard the familiar buzzing sound of the Beedrill.

The Ariados stop moving. The Beedrill stop moving. I stop moving. Ok. If I wasn't dead before I will be now. I'm caught in the middle of two Bug/Poison types that look like they're about to fight for me. I start to very slowly crawl away, trying to not attract attention. My heart was racing faster than a Dodrio. It felt as if at any moment, these pokemon would just start beating the shit out of each other.

I manage to sneak behind a bush. I let out a relieved sigh and squeeze Felicity to my chest. Or at least I would if FELICITY WAS THERE! I let out a gasp and look around. I stick my head out slightly, hoping she wasn't being eaten. Luckily she wasn't. She was hiding in a good spot. Only problem… the two large groups of Beedrill and Ariados that were in between us.

"Felicity…. how the hell did you get separated from me?!" I growl under my breath. I start to slowly sneak my way over there when suddenly the song 'Angel' by Theory of a Deadman starts playing in my back pocket.

Both the spiders and the bees turn to me. Yes. They saw me. I had my top half out of the bush and the bottom half hidden. If this was an anime, I'm pretty sure this would be the part where I get all nervous and the water drop appears next to my head.

We just stared at each other. Me, the Beedrill, and the Ariados. I let out a nervous chuckle and give a slight wave. The Beedrill look at the Ariados. The Ariados look at the Beedrill. They say something in their pokemon-buggy language, then look back at me. And I think I already knew what it was about. I take a step back, turn around and start to walk away, whistling a happy tune. I only took five steps before I high-tailed it.

I could hear the pokemon bolt after me. Tears poured from my eyes as I imagined being wrapped in web then smacked around like a flesh filled pinata.

I scream out again, pleading for Axe and Armor. Two shadows fly over me. I look back and my tears of horror turns to tears of hope. It was my Heracross and my Scizor. They land behind me and glare at the swarm of bugs. The swarm comes to a halt, examining the two bugs before them.

And just when they were about to collide… out burts Felicity, jumping between Axe and Armor. It was adorable and embarrassing at the same time. Here were two big and powerful bugs, ready to fight. Then jumps in the kitten.

THEN the fighting starts. I was knocked back by Felicity as Axe flung her back to avoid a barrage of Poison Stings. I quickly grab the small pokemon and jump behind a tree. I hold the cat to my chest (YAY!), to scared really to do much else.

After about 30 minutes, the fighting stopped, and I peeked out. I saw the swarm retreating and my two pokemon watching them. They were beat up, but that's nothing a Pokemon Center couldn't fix. I walk out, smiling happily.

"I don't think I'll ever be happier to see you guys." I hug them close, crying softly. The two pokemon look at each other from over my shoulder, then return my hug. "Axe…. Armor…. Felicity… Let's get out of this damn forest."

My pokemon all let out a relieved nod and we all stood up. I turn around and yelp. There was one Beedrill left. Axe and Armor get ready to send it packing, but I stop them.

"If…. He?" I ask sheepishly. The Beedrill shakes HER head. "If she wanted to hurt me, she could have done it a while ago."

The Beedrill taps the two points to its spear-like hand stingers together. It was adorable. I smile and nod.

"I understand." I whisper and pat its head. I hold up my other hand, a pokeball ready in it. The Beedrill buzzes loudly. I guess that means it's happy. I dunno. "Ready?"

She nods and I lightly tap the button to the capsule to her head. The yellow pokemon disappears inside and I hold it in my palm. It shakes once. Twice. Three times. Click. I bring out the new team member.

"I think I already have a name for you." The Beedrill looked at me with interest. "How does Spear sound?" I say, pointing to her stingers.

She looks down and nods. She holds up her 'spears', buzzing loudly once again. I smile and rub her head.

I return everyone to their pokeballs and place them on my belt. I turn around and start to walk. I see something move in the top corner of my eye and I look up. I only saw it for a split second, but I could have sworn I saw I person, floating in the air.

I shake my head and continue walking. My mind was definitely playing tricks on me.
