She lay on the table panting breathlessly and watched the vaguely familiar blond strap her down. He was rough, and she felt the heavy leather press cruelly into her arms and legs. It was difficult to breathe they were so tight. She smirked anyway at his vehemence, she had fought tooth and nail to keep from being thrown on that table and he was bruised and bloody to prove it. She wiggled her fingers unsuccessfully trying to get his hair out from between her fingers. He cursed as he wiped a trail of blood from his cheek, glaring at her balefully.

"When I come back un, you are going to be a good little girl and answer my questions. If you don't I have no problems hurting you, yeah."

And with that subtle gibe, she laughed to herself, he stormed out of the room. She looked around, it was completely empty, and starkly white. It made her vastly uncomfortable, there was nothing to look at, just white walls and her stainless steel table. Nothing to keep her company but her thoughts.

After a moment of indulging in self pity, she snapped herself out of it and thought about her situation. Who was the blond? What was he going to do? What did he want to know? Were there more of them here? What were her odds of escaping? Why was she wet; strike that, why was she wet and naked? How had she gotten here in the first place?

She heard Tsunade in the back of her mind telling her that fear only led to mistakes which would lead to her death. She needed to breathe. She needed to think. What had happened to her? She fuzzily remembered being on a mission, what had happened to the quiet woods? Who had she been with? Something was missing, and her head hurt really bad. Had she lost her memory due to a concussion? That would explain a lot, if only she could use her hands and heal herself.

"Are you ready to talk now?"

She looked up, startled, when had he come back? His cuts were all bandaged, he was quick. She bit her lip, she wished she knew more and didn't have so many questions herself, this was not going to be pleasant.

"I don't remember anything, if you would release my hands for a moment I could check myself for injuries. My head is wounded." She dearly hoped her medic voice was convincing enough, she wouldn't mind being strapped down so much if she could remember if she deserved it or not. She saw a flash of a back in front of her, it was a male.

"Do you really think I would be that stupid, yeah? You are going to talk and then maybe, I might loosen up those bonds. I might not though, un."

She paused, the man had been leaping through the trees, he had a ponytail. She growled, she was so close to having something. "All I remember is following a man."

"And?"

"He had long hair and..."

~O~

With a pop she had turned back into a kitten. He smacked his head, now he was going to have to go through the whole thing over again. He growled, after he had sprayed the girl the first time she had instantly leaped at him and had punched him into the wall. He had no doubt she would do it again. This is not what he had signed up for, he didn't want to be abused by absurd girls with pink hair. How had she become so strong in the first place? Probably chakra enhanced muscles. In his book that was cheating. Ninja. He sighed.

So now what? As a kitten she had just slipped right out of the straps and was walking around like she didn't have a care in the world. Probably not. He almost wished he was the cat. He undid the straps and gripped them tightly in his sweaty hand. He smeared the blood on his cheek with the back of his hand and warily put the kitten back on the table, quickly grabbing the spray bottle he gathered himself together for another battle. He was glad he hadn't worn his very identifying cloak, glad that there was a special technique keeping the door locked, glad that Leader had the foresight for such things, even though he was a prick sometimes.

~O~

She had it now! It had been Kabuto! She furrowed her eyebrows, now what had she been following Kabuto for?

Deep breaths, deep breaths Sakura, it will come to you. Kabuto. Kabuto being consumed by Orochimaru. Kabuto stealing the fifth's notes on body possession and cancerous tissues. It had been an interception mission. Naruto had been with her, they had split up so Naruto could cut Kabuto off. That's when it happened.

Calm down, , what had he done? He had turned and smiled at her, "Ah, Sakura, I apologize for having to do this to a fellow medic especially one of your caliber but I need these notes. I trust with your skills though that you will be able to break this little experiment. No hard feelings." He had then dumped a canister of purple gas and had escaped through the trees. The gas! That's why she was having a hard time remembering, so why was she here if Kabuto had made her pass out in the woods?

"First, un, you can explain why you keep turning into a kitten when you're dry and how you do it."

"Are you crazy? How am I a cat?"

The blond man groaned, must not be his best day ever either, I am on a roll today! She reined in her thoughts as he reached into his cloak and removed a small slip of paper, a photo, and held it in front of her face. She gasped, it was a pink kitten the same shade of pink as her hair. That didn't mean anything, it couldn't! She had never heard of people turning into animals unless it was genjutsu and that kind of transformation was only an illusion. It's not true. But then what had Kabuto meant by "this little experiment"? She felt her stomach twist with nausea. If it had been anyone except Kabuto she would have been able to shake this feeling. But he and Orochimaru were definitely sick enough to create something to turn people into little kittens.

"If that bastard wasn't already dead I'd kick his sick ass straight to hell!! I'm going to kill Kabuto for this, I swear to god!" She screamed. She was shaking with rage, what the fuck had he done to her! How would anyone be able to help her if she was a cat?! She shook with silent sobs, completely ignoring her training, cats weren't ninjas, cats didn't have rules! She mentally slapped herself, pull it together Sakura, you're still human, some of the time. Stop it!

"What was that, un?" She looked up at him and his nonplused, slightly wary look. She couldn't help but laugh at how insane her situation was.

"Tell me your name and I'll tell you what I just remembered, deal?" She said it in as sweet a voice as she could muster considering the tears choking her throat.

He looked at her again, and then relaxed. "Deidara, yeah."

She began to laugh hysterically, "Of course you are, it's just my lucky day, my own fucking lucky day isn't it?" Deidara backed away a little bit, looking confused and alarmed. "Of course I'd be poisoned by Kabuto with one of Orochimaru's sick little experiments only to fall into the hands of the fucking Akatsuki." She called out to the ceiling, " I'm sorry god, do you hear that? Whatever I did is so totally not worth this but I'm sorry anyway! I hope you're happy!"

"Right, yeah. Well I'll be back soon, no funny business ok?"

She laughed again bitterly as he practically ran away, she was pretty crazy after all.

~O~

"She is insane, yeah. I don't want to go back in there!"

"Did she tell you anything?" Leader didn't look like he cared, typical. Cocky bastard, but you have to respect him.

"Yeah something about Orochimaru and some guy named Kabuto and poison and then she freaked out because she figured out we were Akatsuki. I wasn't wearing my cloak so she probably already knew my name, yeah."

"Very well, find out her name and her skills. I will decide what to do with her once all pertinent information has been gathered. In the mean time do not kill her. Understood? If you have any difficulties Kisame is not out on any missions at this time."

Deidara smiled, this was going to be fun. "Yes sir, Leader sir, yeah."

Leader just rolled his eyes, there were some times when it actually seemed like he had a sense of humor. They didn't happen very often though, better not blow it by killing her. He rubbed his palms together, he hoped she would be difficult.

"Hey! Kisame where are you, un?"

~O~

"You're Hoshigaki Kisame!"

"How come you remembered his name? That's not nice, un."

"It's because I'm just so much better looking than you are." His rumbling laugh seemed to fill the whole room, not that it was very big to begin with but it was even smaller now. Kisame was the biggest person, the biggest man she had ever seen. He was fascinating, I bet his insides are just as interesting as his outsides. I wonder if he would, no don't even start thinking about that. I need to try and escape.

"Don't try to escape, pretty much everything in this building is synced to our chakra and not yours. It would be unpleasant to have to clean up the smear you'd leave behind little girl."

Well damn. What now? I could go for some food.

"Are you hungry?"

"Where are you getting that? I haven't even said anything yet!"

"I can smell it."

Intriguing, but... "That is so creepy. Can you smell everything?"

"I can smell," he paused, brows furrowed in concentration, "that your last meal was ramen, you have a cut on the back of your right ankle, you were recently in Kusa, and that you haven't bathed in at least a week." He gave a satisfied smile.

"Can I check you out?"

"Whoa, un. Not with me in here, definitely not, yeah. How about you just tell us who you are." He sprayed her with the bottle, she only gave him a dark look, it wasn't his fault she turned into a little kitty when she was dry.

"Not like that fucker, as in medically. I want to know what makes him tick."

"Well thanks for getting my hopes up."

She sniffed, "I don't feel like telling you anything now." It really was amazing how she could look so arrogant while strapped to a table, she was really starting to piss him off.

Deidara cracked his knuckles, but Kisame smiled. "If you're a good girl and do what we tell you I'll let you check me out all you want."

He laughed triumphantly as her eyes were transfixed on him and she began to talk. "My name is Haruno Sakura, I am a medical apprentice under the Godaime Hokage, I was born on March 28, my blood type is O, I'm 150.1 cm and weigh 35.9 kg..."

~O~

"Did you find out who she is, is she still alive?"

"Yes, leader." He groaned. "Practically spilled her whole life story when Kisame said she could "examine" him, yeah. She is so annoying."

"Good, so who is she?"

"She's the freaking Hokage's student. Can you believe that, un? Said her name is Sakura, yeah, I think that's a pretty stupid name since her hair is pink, I mean how obvious is that?"

Leader rolled his eyes again, he must be in a seriously good mood. I wonder if he's going to keep the girl. He could feel his life changing right before his eyes, he shuddered.
