Yang sat with her team when the funeral began, wearing a black suit, and she had Blake's bow in her hair. She looked over to Weiss who had a black dress on, before she grabbed her hand, she held onto Ruby's as well as she took in a deep breath, trying to prepare herself for the next few hours.
The Funeral Went On For Awhile, Ozpin being the one speaking, having known the team personally. It went on for awhile, talking about her history, drive, team and friends, and her years as a huntress.
Eventually, they pulled out the sheet, only known as the sheet. It was a requirement, every huntsman and huntress and to fill one out, in the event of their death. Some left serious notes and some left pranks, one final laugh to send them off.
Yang squeezed her teammate's hands as she clenched her teeth, trying to hold back her tears so she could listen to what Blake left them, she spoke, mostly to herself. "Keep it together...it's going to be ok...it's going to be ok..."
Ozpin read it out, it was mostly targeted towards Team RWBY, but even more specifically Yang. It talked about how much they meant to her, and that she knows that if she were to die it wasn't their fault. It continued on, driving even more pins and needles into everyone's heart present.
As Ozpin's reading continued Yang began to cry, slowly getting louder as she leaned over to Ruby and began to wail into her shoulder, holding onto her just like Ruby used to when she was little. She couldn't keep it in any longer, she had to let these feelings out, now or never...
Ruby stroked Yang's hair, slowly breaking down herself, Weiss was the only one who was able to keep under control, but even she was lip quivering and streaming tears.
Yang reached out to Weiss and pulled her into their hug, knowing she needed it, she thanked Ruby as she held both of them tightly, she tried to keep herself calm so Ozpin could continue.
It continued, getting more and more loving as it continued, Ruby started to wail a little, patting Yang's back, she lost one of her best friends, why?
Yang felt a small warmth in her heart, hearing Blake's words again, even if it was through Ozpin, brought her some joy, but the tears didn't stop. Weiss began to cry as well, she knew how much they loved each other and it hurt her to know one of her only friends were dead...and knowing the remaining were in utter agony.
"...Yang Xiao Long, by the time someone is reading this note, I want you to know a few things. You were one of the few that accepted me for who I was...and what I was from the beginning. And I always appreciated that more than you will ever know. If I'm still wearing my bow by the time this is being read, I want you to have it. I don't need to hide anymore now that I have you to be my sword and shield. I love all of you, Ruby, Weiss, and most of all...You Yang, I hope to see you again someday, but don't come too soon, ok?"
Yang processed the words she had just heard for a few moments before she screamed Blake's name, her voice was shrill, it was filled with pain from a wound that would never truly heal. She held onto Ruby with an iron grip as she cried into her shoulder, staining it with tears. Her pained screamed didn't die down no matter how badly she tore her throat. "BLAKE! BLAKE! YOU CANT LEAVE ME! NOT LIKE THIS...NOT LIKE THIS!"
Ruby and Weiss hugged her, letting Yang cry her eyes out into Ruby's shoulder, going numb, something was very, very, wrong, with all three of them.
Yang had never broken down worse than this, not when Raven left, not when Summer died, never. She held them both tightly, saying something along the lines of: "Please don't leave me! I need you...both of you!"
They hushed her, patting her back and crying with her, resting their head on hers and holding her in their loving arms.
After a few minutes Yang finally began to calm down, exhausted from all the crying, screaming...existing. She held onto them weakly as she sniffled "I wanna go home...I just wanna go home..."
Ruby nodded at Weiss, they slowly got up, and walked to the back isle, calming down Yang, knowing that Yang would never forgive herself if she left the funeral.
Yang held onto the both of them, letting them guide her, her eyes were too clouded with tears to see properly. She tried to get a "thank you" out, but nothing comprehensive came out...
