The sun was long gone in the forest; darkness had penetrated the thick and foreboding trees. Kitt laid down onto the ground, crossing his forelegs to rest comfortably down. Karr was sitting but he was also upset that they had gotten lost, proving the very example of flying would have never gotten them lost and they would have arrived in time for some food, Karr could hear Kitt's stomach rumbling.
"Karr, do you think I should use these big leaves to cover my head or to lay on?"
"I don't care what you do; EAT THE FREAKING LEAVES IF YOU HAVE TOO!"
"I'm sorry Karr about getting lost; I'm not a tracker or even a hunter. At the moment I'm a dragon and I don't know anything about this world or dimension that I'm in. it would have been helpful if you never kept Michael inside of you, if I had only called him with his watch then I would have not battled you for him."
Karr intimated Kitt, who did look down at the leaf that was caught in between his forearms like it was free food. Karr continued to keep calm even after yelling at his brother.
"'I'm sorry Karr about getting lost,' you're just making me look like a fool Kitt. Just stop complaining and go to sleep."
"Fine Karr I will go to sleep, or recharge, whatever this is called."
Kitt sucked up a breath and took a bite out of the leaf, chewing it for a few seconds then swallowing it. Karr looked away disgusted at the sight of his brother eating a leaf, it did not settle well with his stomach.
"Karr, this is pretty good."
"Yeah I believe it, that's just disgusting, how could you just eat that? Where is the fresh meat? Don't you need protein to live?"
Kitt tilted his head to the side, confused about what Karr was implying. He took another bite of the leaves, chewing it slowly to savor the flavor. Karr shook his head and looked up into the tree that was overhead, the big branches almost three times as big as in their home world; the trunk of the tree was bigger than any tree Kitt or Karr has seen before in their lives. Kitt watched as Karr stared up into the tree, he was wondering exactly what he was staring at until the blue bird landed into the nest high in the tree.
"Karr! Don't you think about eating that little family! They have lives too, don't you dare eat… them…"
Kitt stood up from his little leaf pile watching as his twin brother slowly climbed the tree, using his claws to keep a hold of the thick trunk and wings outstretched to keep his balance. Karr's tail flicked back and forth, eager to eat the small creatures.
The nest of blue birds was getting ready to bed down, doing what both Kitt and Karr were going to do for the night. Karr managed to look at the nest, counting five birds total, the two parents and three fledgling chicks, almost ready to leave the nest.
Karr leapt forward, smacking his claws onto the nest. He took a deep breath and burned the entire nest along with the five birds, literally cooking them in his flame resistant claws. The ashes were falling onto Kitt's nose; he used his clawed paw to wipe them off, leaving streaks of white and black on his nose and the back of his paw.
"Karr, that's just cruelty to animals and really disgusting. You're not going to eat them are you?"
Kitt shuddered as the ashes stopped falling, he could hear bones cracking and breaking from high up in the tree. He was actually quite glad that he could not fly, let alone even climbing a tree, he was afraid of all heights.
"Yeah I think you should try some of this Kitt, it's nice and juicy, and it really fills you up. With a little bit of crunch each time you take a bite."
"Yeah… Karr, I don't think that's good for you."
"I think I like this spot up here, are you going to continue to law down there or are you going to join me in this tree?"
Kitt shook his head as he lay back down on the leaves, forearms crossed to rest comfortably. Karr was looking down from the tree, a bone sticking out of his mouth as he chewed and spoke.
"No Karr I'm happy down here, at least I'm lying on something nice and comfortable, and it's not bloody."
"Suit yourself, it's not like you plan on being a meat eater anytime, and the tree is not a bloody mess. It's only burned."
Kitt snorted, rather slightly jealous that Karr had some sort of breath attack when he had none. Although both dragons did not know a thing about the war or the problems they were going to face off with. It was all going to start long before it gets too late at night, and Kitt was going to be the main problem without being able to fly.

Garth Knight watched the reconstruction of Goliath, he was well aware that he did have a dragon captive in his house. But he was much more worried about his favorite, Goliath. Garth walked over to the semi-truck's doors, and climbed up into the cabin.
"Is he still functional?"
"Yes sir, he should still be able to speak, the damage of him running off that cliff was pretty bad, but we are able to put him together again."
"How soon will he be able to ride the roads again?"
"Sir, we still plan on it being years before we get the Nano technology to make him invincible to all attacks. But he will be fully functionally in two weeks, is that good enough Sir?"
Garth had his hands on the steering wheel of semi, his hands were starting to whiten from the harsh hold he had on it. He mumbled an alright to the black guy who held the clip board, really in his own little world wondering what could happen when Goliath was back.
Garth took his hands away from the wheel and pushed a button above the wheel. The sudden rumble of the entire vehicle frightened the workers away from Goliaths frame work. Garth had remained calm, even slightly excited over the actual resurrection of his life's work.
"Goliath your Maker commands you to speak."
The rumbling calmed to a gentle purr of the engine, but the voice from it sound far, and broken up.
"Goliath is here… Are we going to destroy Kitt… soon?"
"Goliath, we will go after that dreaded Kitt, as soon as you are fully repaired, we have done much for you already. But the Molecule bond was broken by Kitt; we are going to give you Nano Technology, you will never be destroyed again. You and I will command the roads, greatness is ours!"
"Greatness… we will rule… roads, we are… commanding…"
Garth snarled as Goliath started to fail, his engine dying.
"Sir, we can easily fix this, it will be a while though…"
"You better get him fixed up, I want to see Kitt destroyed forever, along with that two faced cop, Michael Knight."
Garth stepped out of Goliath, swinging his cane in front of him toward the workers. Frightening them back to work, fixing his favorite, Goliath.

Cynder paced back and forth, the blankets and bedding all torn up as she searched for Spyro. Devon was talking to Michael, trying to stop him from doing anything stupid, they had already lost one FLAG member, and they did not want to lose another.
"Devon, this is not about a dragon, this is about Kitt, our car? The dragon can wait; they aren't even supposed to be real."
"Yeah right, Humans are not supposed to be real either, and here I am standing in front of two of them."
Michael turned toward Cynder, upset about being called unreal.
"You think you had it easy? Just sitting around and eating our food, till one of you vanishes? This is an expensive talking Mustang, one of a kind, programed to protect lives."
Cynder now looked up at Michael, glaring at him for making fun of her and Spyro.
"No, you don't even know the entire story. How you like would to be torn a crossed time and space and shoved into another dimension? Your powers gone and you have nothing but your wits alone, how would you feel if you're in an entire new place?"
Michael was about to say something back at the black dragoness but Devon spoke up.
"I have a better idea, if we find Spyro and if we can find a way to transport you back to your world it should bring back Kitt and Karr."
"Fine."
"But you both have to work together on this, we can't just split up to do this, we have to be together."
Both Michael and Cynder looked at each other and agreed right then to work together, but there would be plenty of arguing and fighting over everything that was given to them as a mission.
"Welcome Cynder, you're our newest member of Flag, congratulations."
Devon clapped his hands briefly after he was done speaking; he looked at Michael and stopped, replying instead with.
"I will see you both back at my office, and we can first start with finding the culprit on who stole a purple dragon."
Devon Miles left the room, knowing quite well it was like sticking butter with a microwave, they were not bound to work well together and one was going to end up melting on of them, but anyone could be the microwave. Cynder looked at Michael snorted and then looked around the room.
"What was that for?"
"For your stupidity, it's not that often I get to see a rare stupid creature like you."
"Well at least I can do cooler things than I bet you can."
Cynder turned her head to face Michael, while wrapping her tail around her body, which was lying on the floor.
"And what can you do I can't? I know you can't wave a tail around, or jump into the air and take off flying, or even use a breath attack like fire or wind. So what can you do that I can't?"
"I can handle a sword nearly as well as you can weld your tail, I can also shoot a gun, flamethrower and a few machine guns. I can also handle a bike, helicopter and a bi-plane as well. I once had a talking car where I could take control and do a full 180 degrees spin in the road."
"Fine, as long as I don't have to save you all the time, I will agree to work with you."
Michael smiled, clearly wining the bet despite it not being a true bet. Cynder turned to look away from Michael, suddenly noticing a bottle on the floor.
"Can you do anything with fingers? Or search out the scent of anybody?"
"I can do finger printing, with the help of Bonnie, but I can't track scents."
Cynder used her tail to point out the bottle, and then gotten to her feet as Michael carefully picked the bottle up with a black glove he had put on after he found it in his leather jacket.
"Well then it seems that we both can do something that can help, I can find scents but I can't do faint ones, I'm not like a mole."
"Mole? Normally we would use basset hound dogs, not a mole; I think you're talking about your home world."
"Yeah whatever."
Cynder replied, walking behind Michael as he led the way to Bonnie, who happened to be working in the lab.
"Hey Bonnie, do you want to finger print this real quick?"
She turned toward the black dragoness and Knight, already being told about the newest member of Flag.
"Sure, it might take a while, why not you two go for a walk in the gardens? It will clear up your minds to confront the next and newest obstacle."
/;/;/;/;/;/;/;/;/;/;/;/;/;/;/;/;/;/
"Get up; it's your turn to watch."
Snarled Karr as he nudged Kitt with his foot, clearly upset already by not being able to sleep well.
"How?"
"You simply get into the tree and watch everything around you. It's that simple!"
Kitt looked up at the tree that Karr was once in, and then looked back at Karr.
"Never mind if you don't want to watch then I will continue to watch, but if I fall asleep and we are ambushed I am blaming you. Don't forget that Kitt."
Kitt went back to sleep as soon as his tail wrapped around his body, not minding a very upset Karr climbing back into the huge tree, the invisible chain between both of them stretched to the limit as Karr climbed up one branch higher.
(Clearly Kitt must not understand the need to sleep. But it seems like I'm the one left with the work.)
Karr stared at the same break in the woods, the spot he was sitting at was perfect cover, and it seemed Kitt was out in the open, just sleeping out in the open. Karr heard a twig break, and he almost jolted up. He decided to remain hidden; he could get another snack or prevent an ambush.
Karr took a whiff of the air; hoping to smell whatever was out there and either worry or go in for a kill. Karr identified the smell; however it was nothing like what was at his home world. Karr watched the woods more openly rather than just that little spot, whatever was out there they were going to be hit hard by him.
"I see a dragon, shall we attack it?"
"Is it alone?"
"Yes, all alone and sleeping, we have the advantage of numbers, we can take two dragons out, and this is only one."
Karr leaned down closer to the branch he was on, now he could hear whatever they were, the one that sounded small had the less gruff voice, almost sounding female, while the other sounded big and heavy. Karr just needed to see the creatures, which would be all that he needed in order to attack them. They must have been rather close, or he had very good hearing, because they were whispering.
Karr suddenly seen a few bushes moving and trained his blood red eyes onto that spot, he wanted to test his claws out on something more than just birds, something that would give him a good fight. A doglike creature jumped out of the bushes silently heading toward Kitt. Now Karr gotten a face full of fowl rotting flesh, his lips curled and shown his fangs, it was a wolf of some sort.
Karr watched as it was followed by three smaller wolves, the larger one pulled out a mace with a bent blade at the end, the end of the mace was a dark bloody red, and the blade was rusted and jagged. The wolf took another step toward Kitt and Karr jumped down out of the tree, landing about two feet away from Kitt and three away from the wolf.
"Ahh I was right, I smelled two dragons."
"Step away from us you beast."
Snarled Karr, clearly waking Kitt up who was nearly frightened to death by three others that had jumped out of the bushes near where he was once sleeping. The larger wolf laughed a deep guttering type of laugh.
"We are not the beasts anymore. You're the ones who are the beasts; we chop you up for food and make sails out of your wings."
The wolf took a step closer and swung his mace downward; hitting the dirt in front of him, he grunted and the six smaller wolves all pounced onto Kitt and Karr. Karr twisted away, rolling away from Kitt, getting five out of the six wolves to follow him. Kitt clearly did not know what was going on and he tried his best to remain hidden from the one nearly black wolf that had been attacking him.
Karr swiped his claws, tearing off an arm and hearing the high pitched screaming of the wolf he had hit. Karr looked down at his paw as the other wolves were just a bit more cautious and stayed back. Karr blinked several times as he stared at the blood dripping off of his paw. He closed his paw twice hearing the faint scraping as his claws scraped together. He put his paw back onto the ground, deciding he did not like the look of blood coating his right forearm.
This time as one of them jumped forward Karr took a breath, building the flames up right at the back of his throat, charging them to grow big and extremely hot. Once he decided the wolf was close enough to him, Karr let lose all the flames literally burning the beast before him. The one wolf that lost his arm stepped forward and grunted a short quick grunt and pointed toward Kitt who had now hidden behind a bush that was rather out in the open.
"Kitt! Get your face out of the weeds and fight!"
"But Karr! I'm not you, I don't like to kill, and I don't even have a breath attack yet!"
Karr snarled at his brothers' stupidity and ran toward his twin, leaping onto the wolf farthest from Kitt and breaking the beast's neck. Kitt was already scratched up from the black wolf, which seemed rather blind; it had yet to land a good blow on Kitt.
"Karr what do I do?!"
Yelled Kitt as one of the wolves pulled out a rather short and jagged knife out of its belt, walking rather slowly toward Kitt as it was not sure that Kitt was telling the truth about unable to breath a breath attack.
"Kitt just take a deep breath, suck from the very bottom of your chest and once you feel ready, Exhale. You should be able to breathe some sort of attack."
Said Karr as he was once again battling at least three wolves, the one big wolf decided to attack Kitt as well. Kitt moved away from the bush, tripping over his own feet as he gotten away from the bush. He rolled into the black wolf and stopped to look up at the dying expression on its face, it had fallen onto the other grey wolf with the jagged knife. The largest and the leader of the wolves snarled rather loudly and ran toward Kitt, his mace behind and above his shoulder ready to take Kitt out.
While big and ugly ran toward Kitt, Karr was already taking down the last of the three wolves that wanted to battle him, the one with the knife was slowly circling Karr, just waiting outside of Karr's reach, both physically and breath wise, waiting for the perfect moment to stab him into his back, or where ever he could reach. Karr leapt up onto the one wolf that he planned on attacking, breaking its back as he landed onto it. Karr knew that the one wolf with the knife would have chosen this one chance to charge him and he was right. Karr whipped his tail around using as much force as he could to literally behead the creature.
Kitt was not fairing as well, he spent his time rolling onto the ground until he was backed up into a tree, the leader smiled and laughed. He charged toward Kitt who decided to curl up into a ball and hid, acting like a total coward. The leader of the wolves stopped two feet in front of Kitt, an arrow stuck out of his chest; it was long and very thin, with bright blue and red feathers for the fletching.
Kitt looked up and stepped away from the downed wolf, which was clearly bleeding out on the ground, staring into no-man's-land, dead.
"Karr? Did you see that?"
Kitt stepped around the many dead bodies that Karr had torn apart; he was clearly shaken from the sudden attack and being woken up in such a fashion.
"Yes Kitt I did see that, clearly you are not as much of a hero but a true coward."
Kitt looked over to the bush as he heard something; he even jumped behind his evil twin brother, hoping that Karr would protect him. Karr shook his head and watched the bush carefully; he did not feel like battling again, he was already tired from taking on such creatures and using so much power for one breath attack.
A little fox appeared, clearly it was a kid, because it was fully clothed and clutching a miniature doll as well.
"It's just a kid? What was I afraid of then?!"
Karr watched as Kitt complained over such a scare and he grown silent as an entire group of foxes and a few Cheetahs appeared from the woods. A few looked over the dragons in disgust and a few others mumbled about the dead wolves that were scattered around the ground. One of the foxes stepped forward, clearly impressed about the battle.
"I suppose you are the two dragons that the city has sent to go to the Tower in the Mountains. We would gladly help you; you have killed the band of wolves that had ransacked our village, causing us to keep moving around. It has been a great while since we had seen any dragons in these parts. They normally are seen flying rather than actually walking amongst the woods. Did you come via flight or did you walk your way into this mess?"
"Sir, we have walked here. We are very welcome to meet you, and we were told that you would have a guide for us to get into the mountains. Do you have a guide for us?"
Karr was glad Kitt was doing all the talking, he did not know anything about being polite and kind, it was just not in his nature. The group whispered amongst itself until the older fox stepped forward with the kid that both Kitt and Karr had seen in the beginning.
"He is the only one who has gotten into the Mountains, he will guide you better than any one of us."
The other fixes and cheetahs nodded their heads, but Karr sensed something was amiss, like they were trying to get rid of the younger one.
