A/N- just remembered Charlie was born in 1992, and I want him to be about 15/16 so it will most likely be 2007/8. So FLIP PHONES N FAT TVS! but not flared jeans, never again. They'll be wearing some ear neutral clothing then, hoodies, skinnies, converse and mosher fashion galore as everyone had a scene fringe at least one time. So iPhone came out in 2007? Oooo

Charlie moaned softly when the sunlight came streaming in, remembering that he'd forgotten to close the curtains the night before. He rolled over and opened his eyes slowly, expecting to see an, albeit, strangely deserted dorm room and not one Olivia Vertigo staring at him curiously.

"It's almost time for breakfast you know, and I'll be staying here to make sure you stay awake unless you want your "Graunt" Lucretia to wake you up." She informed him good naturedly and raised her arm and combed her perfectly manicured fingers through her damp, jade green hair. Evidently, she must have come out the shower and come straight to the Blue dorms.

"Oh." Was seemingly the only intelligent noise Charlie Bones could make that early in the morning. He seemed to be fascinated by Olivia's new hair colour and how drastically it had changed from the night before. He quickly pulled on a clean shirt and some pairs of trousers, and haphazardly threw the rest of his clothes in his Nike gym bag, which had become like a suitcase of sorts more than its actual use, and hoping he could convince Maisie to wash them later. He missed her much when he was away sometimes, for more than just her cooking.

"Are you done Charlie?" Olivia asked him, her lips turning up cutely

"Of course Liv, let's go to breakfast. I hope cook has got something good for us." He pondered, looping his arm through hers. "I want to explore later too!"

Breakfast had gone by surprisingly well, and afterwards the two students were left to wander the (what could've been a) grand school alone. They approached a deserted corridor, its ominous darkness seeming almost normal to them, not surprising considering they did attend Bloor's academy. Creak. Creak. And there it was again, Creak! Almost instantly after the first sound of a floorboard and Charlie and Olivia were pressed awkwardly against the wall in a flash, waiting for whoever it was to come by; only to be sorely disappointed when it was the matron and not Manfred or Dr Bloor coming round the bend revealing their plans. She wore a hideous scowl on her face, like always then, and trudged down the corridor pushing along a trolley of what must have been cleaning supplies covered in a white sheet, Charlie mused. The two slinked through shadows stealthily, desperate for some news in this pathetic war. Charlie was the most peeved they'd come across nothing, even though he could feel something brewing. Not paying attention enough had dire consequences, as Olivia had lectured to him later, while nursing the bruises on his shin and his ego from tripping on some misplaced wires and equipment.

Hours of boredom and homework later, the two of them were ready to leave Bloor's Academy and set off home; sort of uneasy with how uncharacteristically normal their stay had been, with no Manfred in sight.

"Charlie, do you reckon I'd be able to stay at yours? My mum's away and I don't feel like staying in an empty house to be quite honest." Olivia asked swinging their intertwined hands and trying to do a loop de loop.

"Of course, my mum and Maisie love you andyou have Uncle P wrapped round your finger. Grandma Griselda won't be around I don't think." Charlie mused furrowing his dark eyebrows trying to remember that last bit.

"Oh good! One sec, is that Runner Bean?" Olivia exclaimed excitedly, "and look there's Ben!" She added pulling Charlie along to meet the sandy haired bloke.

"Hiya mate, I was hoping to bump into you here" Ben spoke coolly at them before legging his face split in a massive grin. The trio began walking towards Filbert St and Ben filled them in what had happened at his school and also what they'd missed that Saturday, and if Ben had noticed their still joint hands he didn't comment on it.

"Anyway, I'm having a small gathering for my birthday next week. My parents aren't going to be in." Ben grinned suggestively waggling his eyebrows "Just no shagging in the top rooms, I want to be able feel comfortable in my own home, you know?" He added nonchalantly; causing Charlie and Olivia to laugh quite loudly

"You're on one you mate!" Charlie grinned as they finally reached Filbert Street.

"I'm home!" Olivia shouted dramatically as she sat at the counter in the kitchen and gave Maisie and Amy rather tight hugs.

"We can see that dear" Amy responded rather wryly, already used to her antics and watched as the almost couple headed upstairs.

"Is Billy not here?" Olivia asked inspecting the room curiously, it feeling rather empty without the young boy's presence.

"Seems not" Charlie observed sitting on an indigo bean bag.

"What's on your mind?" Olivia questioned as she rooted through Charlie's shirts, searching for one suitable for nightwear.

"The Bloor's, my dad, and you know stuff" he responded staring blankly at the off TV. By then Olivia had already slipped into a tshirt and boxers of his and pulled his blankets from his bed, leaning against his bean chair to offer him comfort and watched him as he continued.

"Something's off Liv, something's coming. It's like they've been too quiet lately and I know we should be grateful but it's more unsettling than peaceful. I feel like I'm a ticking time bomb and my dad is nowhere to be found either. But I'm more worried about Manfred and his sicko family, they're definitely up to something and I don't know what, which is also really pissing me off." He growled, tightening his fist then resigning himself with a sigh.

"Tomorrow is Sunday, we'll meet up with the others." He checked the time hoping it wasn't too late, and then chuckled.

"Olivia it's only 6.30, we have loads of time but I don't feel like going out. Do you reckon we should just invite the others instead?" Not even waiting for an answer he unlocked his Apple iPhone and sent a quick text to Tancred who was probably with Lys or Emma, and even if he wasn't with Lys he's probably be the first to know, however Emma would tell Fido who would be with Billy and probably Gabe. Then they'd come down to Filbert St (and if he wasn't out) get Ben's attention with their ruckus. Fool proof plan. Not fool proof but it tended to work 4/10 times. However, this wasn't one of those times as Gabe, Fido and Billy had yet to show up. When they'd finally arrived (and Charlie had a silent 4/10 victory in his mind) the group sat in content silence for a moment before conversation resumed.

"Let's watch something." Emma suddenly suggested as she turned away from her conversation with Lysander and Olivia.

"Charlie bought that new Harry Potter film the other day, we could watch that?" Billy said tossing a small blue ball at Tancred who caught it with surprising agility.

"Yeah but I've never seen any of the Harry Potters" Ben moaned from his spot on the ground, earning an incredulous gasp from Lysander and Fido, who were devoted Potheads, Harry Potheads.

"AHAHA chill out boys" Olivia laughed then smirked evilly. "We'll just have to watch them all." Causing all of them, even Lys and Fido to groan, because who knew how long it would take.

By the time they'd completed Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, it was well past 6 in the morning, and all of them had this dead look in their eyes apart from Ben, who was in fact immensely tired, but had an awestruck look on his face as most who'd seen the Harry Potter movies usually had when seeing them for the first time. He turned to the rest of the group only to see Charlie and Liv already dosing in his bed; Emma had been taken home by Uncle Paton who'd come in offering a lift in the middle of the night, Tanc and Gabe disappearing with them; Billy asleep him his own bed and Gabe staring back at him. He'd lost track of Lys though, maybe he was having a piss. Heaven knows that boy has a tiny bladder.

"Oi Gabe I'm off me, and I hope my parents don't notice me sneaking in. Are you going with Lys?" He asked briefly as he pulled his jacket to him so he wouldn't be too badly nipped by the fresh October air.

"Yeah I am," Gabe responded as he spotted Lysander by the door. "Let's leave quietly, we don't want to wake up the Bones." He grinned, leaving Ben wondering if he meant Charlie, Olivia and Billy who was basically Charlie's honorary sibling or the rest of the house. Ehhh probably the first option, Ben thought to himself, shutting the door gently.

Before they knew it school was back, and Charlie was on that wretched bus again. Stuck in a never ending cycle of death and misery; never being able to truly break free, no matter how many people he saved nothing would change. Did it have to always be this way? Charlie screamed in his mind, feeling his anger boil his blood before a cool touched brought him back to his senses. Olivia. Hm, when had he gotten off the bus? He didn't know. He supposed he would remember sooner anyway, unless he'd truly been that lost in his anger and resentment at the Bloor's and everything they'd done to ruin his life.

"Charlie are you okay?" Olivia asked worriedly, bringing him out of his thoughts once again.

"I'm fine" he beamed at her warmly, oh he did love this girl. She would always be his best friend before anything.

"If you say so, Bone. But if I find out you're hiding something-" she warned menacingly before being interrupted by Tancred who came and dragged Charlie to the cloakroom.

"No detentions this week remember?" He hissed teasingly, and smiled when Olivia huffed and followed the other drama students.

Ezekiel Bloor* furrowed his ash coloured brows, having looked through tapestries and record books hoping to trace one of the Red King's descendants with more interesting abilities to one of the Children studying at the Academy. All this for blasted illusionist. He was sure Bone knew who it was. None of the children from respectable, controlled families would cause such a ruckus; he knew it had to be someone with something to do with Bone. And according to the books they must have be someone with an already established endowment, as none of the mundaneperforming arts "geniuses" that went there seemed to be related to his beloved Red King. If only his grandson wasn't so useless and could focus his hypnotism on the boy. Drat! He would have to resort to other ways to force it out of him. He eyed an inconspicuous trolley draped in sheets and smirked cruelly.

A/N- *I know I sort of made the Bloor's out to be silly at first, but this was supposed to be a sort of joke kind of thing to kill time (sorry time) know I'm just taking it a bit more seriously and seeing where I want to go with this I guess.

Sorry if this chapter was mushy and ridiculously fluffy, I know I should really focus more on other characters, I've been wanted to do Billy but I might do someone like Gabe or Ben because /nobody/ does them really tbh. Anyway I'm thinking of Olivia and Charlie getting together at Ben's gathering. Might work on the next chapter now I'm finish reading this other fic, or maybe actually sleep idk man.

I can't tell if this seems short or not because I did it on my phone, who knows maybe I'll extend it, but you won't be able to tell if I do and if you really want to then (I originally stopped at where Ezekiel ponders how to get chazza to talk) but tbh I might just make the paragraphs longer instead of just adding more. But anyways back to the point, sorry for any mistakes as it was written in my phone and I don't have a beta.

But all my love,

Blossom xo
