Sorry for the wait, everyone! I was going through a rough writer's block, and didn't really know what to write for this 'chapter'. I've also been having the same problem with my other story, As Blue as the Sky, but, thankfully, I believe that is finally giving away as well... Oh, and I apologize ahead of time, but it's not that great...or that long... I kind of had to force the words out, and I'm not very descriptive at the moment, so forgive me for that. I MAY re-write it when I'm not trying to get to work, but, this is to keep you guys interested for the time being. Hope you like it!

Disclaimer: I do not own YYH, any of its characters, or the rights. The only thing I own is the plot line.

Casually strolling through the ever busy hallways, Kurama headed for his destination, not at all bothered by the constant calls and shouts that emitted from the many ogres that rushed past. Halfway there, he was joined by Botan, the bubbling and peppy grim reaper. Dressed in her usual attire, a pink kimono, and hurried a bit to catch up with him.

"Kurama! Oh, it's so good to see you! It's been a while!" She smiled, her violet eyes shimmering.

Kurama smiled in return, smiling briefly. "Yes, it truly has. How has everything fared here in the Spirit World?"

Botan sighed softly, though still smiling slightly. "It's been fine, but really busy, as usual. So many people have been dying, and as head of the Reapers, it's my job to make sure we meet out quota and get everything done as it needs to be. You know, for paperwork reasons." She laughed softly. "Koenma's been going bonkers with all of the extra paperwork that's been coming through." Laughing just a bit more, she noticed a hint of sadness on his expression, and she realized why that was, much to her dismay. She had said something that triggered sadness in him, and in herself as well. Hanging her head, she gazed at her feet, barely peeking out from below the hem of her kimono as she walked. "…I'm sorry, Kurama... I…I didn't mean it like that…"

Kurama finally stopped his trek and turned to her, smiling softly. "No need to worry, Botan. I realize what your intention was, so I hold no ill feelings towards you. It is all right." He placed a hand on her shoulder briefly in a comforting manner before turning and heading towards the double doors that lay ahead. Arms wrapping around his torso suddenly stopped him, however. Botan hugged him tightly, attempting to hide her sniffling, though her shaking limbs gave evidence to her true nature.

"I-I….miss them too… I…miss everyone so m-much…. E-Even…Hiei…" She murmured, her voice trembling. She looked up, even though she knew that she did not have a good look at his face. "P-please… D-don't leave me too, Kurama… I-I…I couldn't stand…taking someone else I love…" She cried softly, releasing her grip on him to cover her face as the tears flowed forth, unheeded in her attempts to stop the flow.

Kurama heard her words, and they seemed to only increase the desire to accomplish what he wished to do. His eyes were cast in shadow as he listened to the sound of his friend and old team mate release her sorrow and anguish, something that he had done in his own way for the past few weeks. He had been strategizing about the right way to come about it. He remained as he was for a few moments, hearing how he sobs quieted until there was nothing but the occasional sniffle.

"You will never be alone, Botan." He spoke softly, his expression neutral, as he usually kept it. "You have those you cherish the most near you at all times. I...no longer have that amenity." He began walking forward, never once looking back. "Good-bye, Botan."

"K-kurama…" She sniffled, more tears prepping themselves for overflowing as the doors opened, and closed behind her friend.

Within the main office of Koenma, Kurama heaved a small sigh, masking his sorrowful expression with his neutral one once more. Continuing to walk forward, the large back of the chair facing him, Kurama felt a strange sense of calm overwhelming him. Detaching himself from his emotions, as he commonly did, he approached the desk, stopping right at it, his hands never leaving his pockets.

In the seat, Koenma sighed. "So…Kurama..." Another pause, in which the silence seemed to stretch, soon was becoming almost unbearable for the young prince. "You know there's no turning back after this, right? Are you sure about all of this?"

"I am certain that this is the outcome I desire." Kurama replied firmly.

Koenma turned his chair around, locked his fingers together before him, gazing intently at his guest. He knew Kurama was highly intelligent, and knew that whatever decision he came up with, there was little anyone could do to change his mind. With a heavy sigh, he closed his eyes.

"If that is what you truly desire, Kurama… I wish you the best of luck." He shifted slightly in his chair, reaching for his seal. The single sheet of paper that lay before him received a single implant from the golden seal. "Granted."

-That's the end of the chapter. Sorry once again for it being such a small chapter, but, as I said at the beginning, I need to get to work, and felt that I needed to post something, anything! I know it's not that descriptive, but hey! We all have our bad days when our writing sucks...so, don't hold it against me! Dx So, hope you liked it, please tell me your thoughts on this, and yes, I did purposefully did what I did in the chapter. : D Have a good day, everyone!

A.N.: Everyone, I forgot to mention this earlier, but if you have any ideas, or suggestions as to what his decision might be, since I did leave it open on purpose, let me know what you would like it to be. I love getting reviews, and look forward to seeing what your thoughts are about this chapter, and possibly anything else. All right, I really need to get to work now. Bye, everyone!
