"You guys are idiots…" She mumbled as tears cascaded from her eyes. She sat between them both her hands atop their hearts green chakra pouring rapidly but gently from her hands into their system. Their "to the death" match ended up to be a "To be both are missing one limb". And she was not pleased. Not only did she have to keep their hearts alive, but she had to stop the intense blood loss they were sure to die of had she not got here when she did.
The blonde one chuckled and winced once he remembered he was technically being revived.
"Sakura-chan, you always say that."
"And I mean it." She hissed. Her eyes were closed and her 'Ninja Art Creation Rebirth — Strength of a Hundred Technique' continued to consume and grow across her skin showing her determination to keep them alive and heal them to a walkable point.
"Sakura." A deep voice called.
Emerald eyes snapped open and looked to the right of her. A man as pale as her with ebony hair and obsidian eyes stared into her very soul. She didn't need to hear him say it. She knew what he intended to say.
With a small smile she sighed, "You're welcome Sasuke."
"Rima-sensei! Wake up! I made breakfast and you have three patients coming in soon for their appointment."
Glossy jade eyes slowly blinked open recognizing their current whereabouts. This was not Konoha, but the Grass Village. With movements to slow to be considered a ninja, Sakura slowly sat up and accepted the water her young assistant had waiting for her. Sakura noted, her assistant had opted for an up do, shorts a crop top and a mesh shirt. The mesh courtesy of Sakura who had grown out of it.
"Good Morning to you to Keiko." Sakura mumbled her once dry throat now smooth and moist.
Keiko rolled her eyes and took the glass back from Rima and walked to the where Sakura kept her clothes. Sakura's lazy emerald eyes watched as the younger girl went through her closet debating on what to dress her in. the simple action always reminded Sakura of Ino.
"Forehead! You are the assistant director of the Hospital! You cannot show up in ninja pants and a crop top. You must always dress to impress but stay mobile." She lectured every morning as she went through Sakura's barely used closet of assorted clothes. Even without Ino going through her closet, she knew what was there. Beige shorts, qipao shirts and dresses, some long sleeved other short or no sleeved. Some skirts black and beige. A few night club skirts. A kimono or two. Her chunin and jonin vests… and a vast assortment of heels.
Emeralds eyes watched without care she her first blonde best friend wrecked her closet for the right outfit for the day. In her hands rested her morning coffee and on her nightstand her toast and bacon rested steam still flowing out of it.
"Aha!" Ino Screeched holding up a red qipao that would end just above her navel in her right hand and in her left, her long lost black skinny tights and a pair of black heeled ninja sandals she never knew she owned. Ino looked victorious as she smirked at the still uncaring Sakura who sat crisscross on her queen sized bed.
"Alright… hand them over. My shift starts in an hour." She said slowly getting up from her bed.
"Aha!" Keiko yelled happily as she snapped Sakura out of her memories. Jade eyes observed the clothing articles in the teen girls hands. A red no sleeve button up blouse and white khaki pants that would end just a few inches past her knees. Her right hand was clutching a pair of strapped heeled ninja shoes and her left hand held her lab coat. The grin on Keiko face sung content as she stared at her sensei.
Sakura sighed and stood up from her comfy bed. She gently walked up to the young orange haired beauty and rested her hand on the girls head.
"What a cute ensemble." She chuckled, "Hand it over so I can get ready. The clinic opens in an hour." The young girl nodded eagerly as she ran to the bathroom where she rested Sakura's clothes. Sakura contiued to chuckle as she followed the young girl's lead.
I guess this life isn't so bad.

"You called for me Sandaime?"
Naruto looked up from his laptop and his piles of files to greet his guest. He was tall and toned. His ebony hair reached past his shoulders and no longer spiked at the back of his head. His black cloak was long and thickly layered despite the spring heat in Konoha. With his one visible obsidian eye, he stared back at the blonde and much more mature man before him.
"I need you to go on a s rank mission with your Anbu team. Several feudal lords have requested the mysterious appearance of an angel in a certain town. The lord of that town also refuses to accept tourists on the claim that they will try to steal their new deity. This is causing a disturbance on an economic level and distrust has risen amongst the several heads of the Land of Grass."
"Hn. Is that it?" he asked already making a mental packing list. To get to the land of Grass was a 6 day walk, 4 day sprint on soldier pills.
The Hokage smiled, "I heard she's beautiful but has a temper. And she's a gifted healer. But those are just the rumors. Others say she's but a child gifted with the knowledge of healing. One says she's a hag determined to save everyone in place of the one life she lost. My favorite is the two known best healers of the world have decided to bless any and all healers who they deem worthy of their talents."
The taller shinobi glared silently at the man who had hidden intentions hidden in his voice, "You want me to find out whether this person is Sakura and if so take her back."
"Sasuke-teme, you know me so well." The Hokage drawled, a wry smile on his face. Sasuke knew that even though he was smiling, his eyes were completely desperate and broken. This was a lead they could not pass up.
Not when no one had found a body.
Not when it had been seven years and no one had even found a single strand of pink hair.
Not when she had left in such a turbulent storm of fury, vengeance and loneliness.
Not when not a single person in the nation who knew her believed she was dead.
Sasuke nodded, "Naruto, you always seem to surprise me... Are you sure you want to send and an anbu team out there?"
Naruto's blonde brows furrowed, "Yeah. If it is Sakura-chan, she won't go down without a fight. We need out best team out there. And even then she might take out your team before you know it. After all, she will be out for blood."
Sasuke sighed and nodded. He bowed slightly before heading out the office and making his way back to the new Uchiha compound. He walked into the large main house disabling the genjustu instantly and walking towards the stairs and his room towards the back of the hall. Once in Sasuke stripped off his casual ninja attire and slipped into his anbu uniform and grabbed his kusanagi. His backpack was small and all he decided to fit in it were his soldier pills and a few protein bars.
"You're going on an S rank mission and you have no intention of bringing even a small piece of real food?" She growled. Her lab coat seemed far to big for her petite frame and almost had him underestimating her. ALMOST. Her emerald eyes were a flame and her cotton candy hair pulled into a sloppy bun atop her head.
He shifted on his feet awkwardly. Naruto and Sai to his right looking downright terrified of the kunoichi before them. They had come to tell her they were off on a mission that would take about a month. The first few days were to spent sprinting towards the boarder of the sound village.
"Hn."
"That is not an answer Uchiha." She hissed.
"Sakura, stop being over the top-"
"OVER THE TOP?" She roared, her chakra spiking considerably, "WHY I OUTTA-"
At this point naruto jumped in, "Ne, Sakura-chan! We'll take the protein bars. Ok? Please calm down for a minute."
"Dobe, we don't need the damn bars. She's just being temperamental."
SNAP.
3 pairs of eyes snapped to the steel desk Sakura's hand had just destroyed with a simple touch. Sasuke looked to the pinkette then to the bars on the shelf. And once more back to the pinkette.
Stubborn he was, but he liked his spine nice straight and tall. And he knew, if she fucked it up, she would not let a single medic in this nation and neighboring heal him.
So Sasuke wisely picked 4 bars out of her jumbo protein bar box and passed the box along. He could hear Naruto and Sai stumbling to properly grab the correct amount.
Sasuke stuffed the stupid bars in his pouch and crossed his arms before facing the smiling vixen before them. He raised a fine eye brow at her as if to say 'Happy?'. Naruto and Sai started to adjust their masks and make their way to the window behind the terrifying kunoichi.
"Yes. Yes I am happy Sasuke. You three behave and be safe." She demanded rather than stated as she walked to her shelf to put back the box of bars. She then reached for her wall phone probably to dial the number of maintence.
"Aa."
"Bye Saks!"
"Bye Ugly."
Sasuke held the blueberry bar in his hand and stared at for a moment. He then shrugged and bit into the whole grain bar and walked out of his door. Locking and securing his home in a genjutsu.
Why do I feel as though this time, it might actually lead to her?...
"I hope it really is you… Sakura."

"So, is Takeshi coming today for his father's anti-biotics?" Rima asked nonchalantly as she chewed on a blueberry protein bar. Through peripheral vision she watched her assistant drop her clip board and catch it quickly before she let it hit the ground.
Keiko's usually ivory skin was flushed and made her look far younger than she actually was. She brushed her side bangs behind her ears before coughing lightly.
"Uh um y-yes he is. He sh-should be here any minute Sensei.." She stuttered before walking into the back room to grab said anti-biotics. Rima just grinned wryly and began to write out the receipt for the pills.
This was the only time Keiko went out of her way to grab pills instead of checking people in or writing receipts.
Sakura looked around her simple clinic. There was a lobby in front of the windowed front desk, an office at the back, treatment room to the right of the front desk and a surgical room across the hall from the treatment room. Currently, all her morning appointments had passed and this was time for pill pick-ups or walk ins. But today was a slow day what with the festival preparation quickly reaching the climax. Sakura let her chin rest on her right hand as she sat behind the front desk. She had let Keiko put her 'black' hair into an extravagant high ponytail and she had brushed her bangs to part in such a way that her left bangs were larger than the right's.
With amused eyes, she watched young Takeshi Kei walk up to her clinic with a pink tint on his tan cheeks. His face was stoic and skin sweaty probably due to field work. He was wearing a dark blue t-shirt with the sleeves rolled and regular black civilian pants.
"Hi there Takeshi-kun!~" Rima called out loud and proud with an innocent smile. Behind her, she heard Keiko gasp in shock.
He jumped at the sudden announcement but nodded his head back in greeting to the older woman out of respect. Because of her, his father was living a longer life and slowly getting healthier.
She felt a slight breeze and heard a quick slam as the young Orange haired teen ran past her and through the front desk door to go greet her crush. Who seemed to have a crush on her back.
Sakura watched them talk casually with a knowing smile. Takeshi's blush was rushing to his ears as took in Keiko's lively wardrobe. With trembling hands, the young assistant handed the boy the packet of pills and herbs. He in turn handed her a few ryo with what looked like clammy hands.
Sakura suppressed a giggle and shivered.
"Sakura…"
Rima jumped causing her chair to fall back. Her jade eyes widened several inches and her ebony hair seemed to all of a sudden weigh down on her head giving her a slight head ache. Keiko and takeshi both jumped at the sudden action and turned to the beautiful doctor.
"Rima-sensei?" Keiko called lightly, taking slows steps her way, "Is everything ok?"
Sasuke? That was Sasuke's voice most definitely…
I don't want to run anymore…
