Summary: Kagome left home to go to the beaches of her old home in South Carolina. Where she once grew up to find out it never changed, and neither did her long lost friend and enemy. Who would have knew a messed up house, a volley ball, a summer and a memory could change her life forever, or break it.

Chapter 3: Finally Home

The house smelled of… food! And dog, but I guess that's expected when dog demons live in a house. Entering the house my eyes settled upon the pictures lining the walls. There was pictures of Inuyasha, Sessomaru, Inu Tashio, and Izayoi. They had such a beautiful, perfect family. I wish my family still looked like that. A deep voice suddenly injected into my thoughts and I came out of my la la land.

"Hey you there Kaggie?" He asked, his face just inches from mine. I blush at the close approximately and nod. He chuckles when he sees my blush and I frown. "That's not funny." I pout and push him away from me. "Youe're right, it's hilarious." I don't see this funny at all! I growl and obviously catch him off guard. Without a doubt of hesitation I pounce on him. I grab fist full of the sliver river rolling down his back and yank. He yelps and tries to pull me off, but it's not happening! He was laughing at me! He stumbles into the living room and falls on the rug on the floor. "This is what you get for laughing!" I straddle his hips and pull harder. "Kagome stop! Please! Uncle Uncle" Pleading won't get him out of this one. "Say sorry! And that you're a big meanie!" He's laughing AGAIN! "WHY ARE YOU LAUGHING?!" I practically scream.

"You said meanie." He says through fits of laughter. "Kids lets calm down. We don't need grandbabies just yet." I look over my shoulder and see a man. We suddenly realize the position we're in and jump apart blushing madly. I look up at the 6"4, obviously a demon man, and he looked exactly like a powerful Inuyasha but with a crescent moon on his forehead and pointed hears. Marks also adored his face. I knew that man! "UNCLE TASHIO!" I jump up and wrap my arms around his neck. "Kagome! You're so grown up!" I smile at his warm embrace. I missed him so much. He was like a second father to me. He was there for me when my father passed away.

"What's all this commotion out here?" Comes an angelic, wise voice. That voice was there when my mother could only cry. It was there when I had no one to turn to. Izayoi. I leave the warm hug reluctantly and turn to the woman's voice. Tears well in my eyes and I slowly walk to the elderly lady. "Izayoi…" I barely whisper. I see her eyes brim with tears and she wraps her arms around me as I do her. I don't know how I could live so long without these people. They were literally my family. I look up and smile at her and giggle a little through my tears. "I missed you guys so much." They both smile at me warmly and we have a small group hug. "We missed you too darling." Then the mood was ruined by guess who. Yes you were right. Inuyasha.

"Guess who found her on the beach? This guy!" He smiles proudly and points two thumbs towards himself. "And guess who hit me in the head with a Frisbee. That guy!" I say dripping in sarcasm and pointing to Inuyasha. He nervously chuckles and scratches the back of his head. "It was an accident." Everyone in the room dead pans and starts paying attention to me again. "So where is Sessomaru? Is he still with Rin?" I ask "He's has him own apartment now." "Inuyasha!" I sing. "Can we go?" He pouts and gives me the puppy dog eyes. "Can we get food first, pwease?" I sigh and suddenly my stomach growls too. Everyone begins to laugh and I blush madly. I'm home again.
