Ed started strumming a tune on the guitar, and I started singing a little bit. "I just want to know you better, know you better, know you better, now." He smiled, "Cause all I know is you said hello, and your eyes looked like comin home.." I thought for a moment, "All I know is since yesterday, everything has changed." We went back and forth with lyrics for a couple hours, until we perfected an acoustic track called, "Everything Has Changed." We then went into the studio and recorded it.
"Baby, do you have to start work tomorrow?" He said, kissing my neck lightly, and he wrapped his arms around my waist. "Yes, Teddy. I have loads of press to do, but you'll survive," I replied. He frowned, "I probably won't, actually." I rolled my eyes, "you are literally the most dramatic person I have ever met in my entire life." He picked me up and threw me over his shoulder, "Oh really? Am I?" He took me outside, to the deck. "Yes, you are, actually," I said. We were getting closer and closer to the pool. "Teddy, don't you dare," I said, sternly. "Oh, what are you going to do about it?" He said, with a laugh, tossing me into the pool. I screamed. "UGH, ED." He stood on the edge of the pool, laughing, then he jumped in after me. He swam to me and tried to kiss me, I turned my head. I was just joking, but his face changed. "Baby, I'm sorry..." I got close to him, then laughed and shoved him under water. "Good, as you should be." When he came back up, he was laughing again. He pulled me to him and kissed me. "I love you, Kels." I smiled, "I love you too."
We swam for a while, then spent the rest of the day in Ed's house, just laughing and joking. He wrote some, as I rested, trying to recooperate for work in the morning. There was something so beautiful about the way he wrote. He got into a zone and just did it. It's like he was in his own little world. He could be stuck in it for hours without realizing it.
My alarm started to buzz at about 5 A.M. the next morning. The car would be here to pick me up at 6:45 for my first press appearance of the day. I had an early morning radio show to do until about 9 A.M. Then, I'd go do a small show at another radio station and a meet and greet. Which, my fan base was surprisingly large after my Voice appearance and the gigs from before the show. At about 2 P.M. I had to be to the Ellen show, which was a dream come true. I was already preparing myself for the questions about Ed. Then I ended my day with a small performance at another radio station at 5 P.M. I was excited about my career, but I'd love to be curled up in bed next to my boyfriend all day.
I tried to quietly get out of bed, so I didn't disturb Ed, but as I turned to get up I heard a quiet voice, "Hey, you're not going to leave bed without kissing me first." I smiled, I laid back down for a second, to kiss and cuddle him before I got up to shower and get ready. "I love you," he said, before I departed from the bed. "I love you too."
I jumped in the shower, then blow dried my long blonde hair. I decided to straighten it because it was the quickest. It was already 5:50. I threw on some make up. "You know, you don't need all that," I heard Ed say, his voice getting louder as he spoke each word. Before I knew it, he was wrapping me in a hug. "Well, thanks, but I'm not sure the radio people would agree," I replied. He rolled his eyes, "fuck what they say. You're beautiful and you don't need to worry about your looks at all." He was very opinionated on the way the public viewed women and their looks. I kissed him, then headed to the closet. I was now staying at his house with him, so my clothes flooded his closet. I decided on a pair of dark washed skinny jeans, a sheer neon peach top, and a white cardigan, with some gold sandals.
It was about 6:30, so the car would be here soon. I walked to the kitchen, Ed followed. "Why are you even awake?" I asked him. "Can't I see off my beautiful girlfriend to work?" I rolled my eyes and kissed him. I made him a cup of tea, with a little bit of milk, just the way he liked. Then I saw the car roll up. "I have go. I'll see you around 530, I love you." He groaned, "do I really have to wait that long? I love you too." I rolled my eyes, then walked out the door.
I got into the radio show that I was co hosting and it was literally the most boring thing I'd ever experienced. There were peaks where we would have good conversations, but it was pretty dull. I was anxious to get out of there.
Me: This radio show is horrid. I am literally so bored.
Ed: I can change that.
Me: Oh can you?
Ed: Yes.
Me: How, exactly?
Ed: I can come and we can have a quickie in the bathroom, that will get you through.
Maybe texting Ed wasn't a very good idea, I almost lost it and started dying when I read his last text. That would have given it all away.
Me: Almost just started dying after reading that, maybe I shouldn't be texting you right now
Ed: I miss you babyyyyyyy
Me: You're lame.
Ed: :(
Me: I miss you too, I'll see you in a few hours, babe.
Ed: Love you
Me: Love youuuu :)
The rest of the radio show seemed to drag on forever. Then the performance and meet and greet went by so quickly. Before I knew it, it was time to go on Ellen.
"So are next guest, just won this season of the voice, and is a very talent musician. Please give it up for Kelsey," Ellen said, introducing me. I walked onto the stage and hugged her. "Hi! It's so nice to finally meet you!" I said, with a smile. She smiled back, "it's nice to meet you too! Please have a seat." "Thank you, thank you." "So you've been playing shows around your town for how long now?" "I've been doing this for about 5 years now, and I finally decided to take another leap, and it was a good idea," I said, with a laugh. She laughed with me, "I'd say so, I have to ask, Ed Sheeran." My face started to turn red, "What about him?" She smiled at me, then her face got serious, "What's going on with Ed Sheeran and you?" I laughed, "I don't know what you're talking about." She then put up some pictures Ed has posted on instagram, tweets he's tweeted, and some paparazzi photos. "Is this a thing?" She asked. I smiled, "yes, it's a thing." "Ugh, yes amazing! Finally, someone who admits they're dating Ed Sheeran." The crowd laughed at this. We talked more about press and my album, and the next steps for my journey and it was amazing. Then I rushed to my next press conference.
I played my set and answered some questions, then before I knew it I was able to go back home. I ran through the door, hoping to see Ed, but he was no where to be found in the house. I found a note on the kitchen counter that said:
Waiting for you by the pool. Get changed, and meet me there. I love you xx
I wasn't sure how I got so lucky, but I truly was. I changed into my bikini, then headed out the doors in our bedroom to the pool area. There, he was already waiting in his swim trunks, with dinner waiting on the table. "You're perfect," I said, kissing him, then sitting at the table. "I knew you were having a rough day, and I thought this might make it better." He was always so considerate and I was so incredibly lucky. He wined and dined me all night, making sure I was comfortable. We ate and swam, then spent hours cuddled up, looking at the stars and talking. It couldn't get much better than this.
