Even though this is a late chapter to publish, but this is a dedication to the voice actor of Professor Samuel Oak. You will be remembered in a long time, Sir Unsho Ishizuka.
Chapter II : News
Ash Ketchum's P.O.V
"Ahhh!" I fell down and hurt my face, especially my head. I clutch from the pain I got and when my vision is clear, I'm in... a room?
Oh... that's right. I'm sleeping in the Pokémon Center in Viridian City after Alexa went back to Kalos and Iris and CIlan take the train as Pikachu and myself went home by ourself.
So... it's all a dream, eh? Oh My Arceus... I'm glad it's not real. I wiped the sweats from my face and heard a voice. "Pikapi?" I look at the source of noise and saw my buddy looking at me with a worried look, not showing signs of disgust of how I disturbed his dreams of whatever-he-dreamt about.
"I'm okay, Pikachu. I just fell from the bed, that's all." I said to him, lying about what I'm dreamt. He rolled his eyes and sigh of relief came out of his mouth as I gently caress his head and said to him, "Go to bed, Pikachu. I need milk to cool myself."
He nodded and went back to the place where he sleeps. I look at my watch and it's... 1:00 AM. I can still sleep, but I need to relax. I went out of the room where I booked for us to take a rest and went to the assigned kitchen that were given to the guest that were having an overnight stay or 2.
I took 2 drinks of milk and went back to my room. I saw Pikachu sleeping with a smile and I kind of feeling guilty to myself as I disturbed his lovely dreams.
I didn't slept away, I sat on my bed for few minutes, thinking that their betrayal never happened. I know it will never happen. How can I be so sure? Because their my-
"Be alarm, Chosen One."
My thoughts interrupted as I heard a voice in my... ears or head? I look around and there's no one except Pikachu slurping from his dreams, which I find it... funny.
What does it mean be alarm? And how does he or she knows that I'm the Chosen One? Only Lugia, Celebi and Mewtwo knows that I'm the Chosen One, so ho-
"Don't be afraid, you've met me before. Just be alarm that there is danger coming to you and your family and friends, Chosen One."
There it is again, the voice, but... I can't shake the feeling that I've heard it somewhere.
Wait. Oh Arceus... How can I forget that it's you?
"Yes it is me... Satoshi."
I talk to him in my mind, "Satoshi? But that's not my name. Who are you talking to?" "You, of course. I'll not speak more. In the near future I will. Just be cautious."
Not knowing what's happening, I said to the Pokémon God, "Okay." I didn't receive his answer, so I think he left me with messages.
I'm in a deep state. Danger? Be alarm and cautious? What is Arceus talking about? Not only that, my real name is... Satoshi?
Mom's hiding something and I don't like it. More importantly, I need to be cautious to danger that is coming to us?
...
Do I... have to expect the unexpected?
I guess I need to sleep. Later afternoon, maybe the truth will reveal.
...
9:00 AM. Man, I slept too long, but at least I've more energy than before. I've left the Pokemon Center just an hour ago and now... we're almost there.
I was about to run until a loud roar came out of nowhere, which... makes me shivered, to be honest. I look around, but to no avail, I can't see it until it came again, but this time... from above?
Ah wait, I see... a Charizard? Heh, only one way to find out...
...
"Brother!" I shouted and... a figure came from Charizard's back and it's looking at me. No doubt about it. That Charizard... is my brother's first Pokémon.
It landed safely and... yup, there he is. "Ash!" He shouted as we ran towards each other and gave each other our usual bro fist and hug.
"How you doing?" Usual question from him. "What do you think? I'm fine and still living." I joked and he chuckled. "What about you?" I asked. "Oh well, just finished my journey after Blue went home to Kanto first."
"Huh, what region did you traveled to?" I asked with curious tone, wanting to know what region did he journeyed through. "Alola."
...
Alola? No way. Is it true? or isn't? There's no way this could be a coincidence. There's no way that it will happen. I fell into a deep state, thinking about... it. "Hey, lil' bro. You okay?" That caused me to snap out of my thoughts from my dream awhile ago.
"Huh, oh yeah. Yup. Just tired of... losing again." "I see... what top?" "Top 8 in Unova League." I answered him and then he returned Charizard to his rightful PokéBall and walk with us to talk about our journey.
...
I cannot believe what I'm hearing. Every word he said... it's just like my dream. Is this what I need to be alarmed about? Is this... what Arceus told me to be cautious of the incoming danger?
No! I refuse to believe that. I know that this isn't real. Dream and reality are different... yet... are there dreams that become true?
We're now in front of our house, I shrug the dream-reality thing aside me and slowly opening the door, to surprise our Mom and Mimey.
"We're home!" We both shout so that they can hear. We hear a certain Pokémon noise and we already know who it is.
"Welcome home, dear!" Mom said as she walk towards and gave us a big hug and we return it. Although... her hug's crushing me and I can feel Red is feeling what I'm feeling.
"Mom... we can't breathe..." Red said, desperate for air to breathe from Mom's bone-crushing hug. Lovely, but too much tight. Eventually, she pulled away and we were able to breathe air.
"Sorry about that. I just couldn't help but be alone at times like this." She said with a smile, but what she said... is true.
We've been away for so long and we only visit Mom for 1-2 months. I blame myself for not always with Mom. She took care of us and we only go on our journey and left her alone with Mimey.
"We're sorry, Mom." I said with sadness on my face. I can feel Red is sad as well. "Oh don't worry about that. You can tell me about your journeys after fixing yourself. How's the league by the way, sons?"
"Ummm... I only got in Top 8 of the Unova League, because my opponent's Riolu transformed into Lucario while Pikachu's weak. Not close, but it's my stepping stone for me to get closer to my dream." I said first.
"Congrats, Ash. Even though you're not the winner. At least you did your best. What about you Red?" Mom said, complimenting my achievement before looking at my older twin brother.
"Well, my journey through Alola is great, but I'm disappointed that there's no league, but at least I have fun time with Blue until he went home."
After telling our stories to Mom, we went to our room upstairs and set my certificate of being Top 8 in the Unova League. Before I go down and eat with my family, I take a few minutes of looking at badges, trophies, everything I've accomplish so far.
"Pikapi." I heard Pikachu, who is already at my room's door, rubbing his stomach and signalling that we need to eat now.
"You go ahead, Pikachu. I'm going to fix things first." Then he went ahead of me to go to the dining room.
...
3 days have passed and things have been going smoothly for me, my brother and Mom. Red even bought a souvenir for us. 3 Pokémon just for us... including Leaf. We reunite each other yesterday, together with the whole gang, Blue, Gary and Leaf.
2 Pokémon are the Alola starters while the other is not, but it came from Professor Kukui. Red said that he help the professor on teaching students on Pokémon School in Alola.
There he met a trainer by the name of Sun, whose Pokémon is a Torracat, Rockruff, and a Pikachu as well. Young, yet strong is what my brother said.
Leaf got Popplio, I got Rowlett and Mom has a Rockruff. Red said that he doesn't need Alola Pokémon since he wanted to travel through Alola.
We visit Gary Oak's Lab. What happened to their grandfather Professor Oak?
...
He passed away from esophageal cancer just few days ago. How do we remember this? Mom told us when we return home and all three of us went to Blue and Gary's house, where Professor Oak's body is inside the house, buried in a coffin.
Not really a happy reunion, but... we'll miss you Professor Oak. You're the reason why I'm still with Pikachu, once Pichu and I heartily thank you... from the bottom of my heart, from the bottom of my Mom, my older twin and my friends' hearts and everyone here in Kanto...
...
Thank you for bringing light and joy to every children... including us.
...
2 days ago, we all attend the funeral of the great Kanto Professor. Many people in Kanto visit Professor Oak's funeral, for they still admire him, even when they're still old and young.
...
We're now in Professor Oak's Lab, which is now owned by Gary Oak, who took the place from his late grandfather and dedicated to research and bring joy to younger generations, just like what Professor Samuel Oak did.
Usual talking, nothing happen, although we reminisce the time when we're still kids.
...
When Serena is still here.
I leave the lab, so that I need fresh air. I stretch my arms, breathe in and out, smelling the best air nature has provided us all the time.
I look at the clouds, covering the moon and I stare at it for few minutes. Nothing came, until a face came to my vision.
A certain face with a certain honey blonde girl, wearing the straw hat. Yeah, it's Serena, alright. "Where are you now, Serena?" I thought to myself, not showing sadness, but not showing happiness as well.
I miss you. I've so many things to tell you when we're going to meet each other. I know I've traveled through many regions, but I want to travel again. This time... with you.
"Still thinking about her?" I jump at whoever said that. I sigh in relief that it's my brother. I was hesitant at first, but... "Yeah. I miss her." I said without looking at him. "We all miss him, lil' bro. Don't worry, we'll travel the whole world again. This time, with Serena, Leaf, Gary and Blue."
My eyes widened. Not because of what he said, but because of what he thought about. Those words he said... are exactly what I'm thinking. I chuckle at his response.
"What's so funny?" He asked with a confused look. "Oh nothing. Families think alike." After I calm down, I look at the night again.
...
"We should go home." My older twin said, breaking the silence around us. I nodded, but the door bashed open and revealed... a panting Leaf?
"Leaf? What's wrong?" I asked with a worried look and tone. I look at Red and he, too, is showing expression just like me.
"Red... Leaf... Hurry." She said while she needs air to breathe and talking at the same time. What does she mean hurry? There's something wrong?
"What happened?" This time I heard Red asked with a desperate tone of concern showing from his voice.
...
"Your house! It's on fire and Auntie Delia's in there!"
