Frosted Snow gazed across the large land that he and his group have landed on after being stranded in water for several moons. Burned Pelt was by his side, she was a wonderful she-cat. On his other side was Bracken Branch; the she-cat was his closest friend since kithood. But before Burned Pelt, no-one seemed to like him other than a friend.
Frosted Snow could feel the connection with Burned Snow, even before the ancients gave the two of them gifts specific to them. Despite both having a gift to control the elements which both of them are still figuring out. But they know of their shared gift, the spirits of the ancients. For Frosted snow, there will appear an outline of a Large Lion. And for Burned pelt, the outline of a large Tiger would appear.
"So, shall we press forward, I smell a nest of mice nearby." Bracken Branch pointed out.
"R-right, let's go Burned Pelt, lead the way Bracken Branch." Frosted Snow stammered.
Bracken Branch smiled, and headed off. "Be wary of that one, Frosted Snow, my blood boils with just how she acts around you." Burned Pelt hissed in his ear.
Frosted Snow turned to her. "Calm down Burned Pelt, she's only a friend from my kithood." He purred.
Bracken Branch peeked her head over the grass. "You guys coming anytime soon?" she asked.
Burned Pelt gave him a glance. "A she-cat knows what a tom doesn't, keep your friends close, but your mate closer." She told him, before heading off towards Bracken Branch. Who was watching Frosted Snow waiting for him to follow suite. Frosted Snow followed his mate, Burned Pelt glared over at the she-cat. Bracken Branch shied away her face, as Burned pelt began to advance.
Frosted Snow breathed in the scent, certainly a mouse nest nearby.
"You have been warned." Frosted Snow heard Burned Pelt hiss towards Bracken Branch lowly.
Frosted Snow brushed her shoulder, and crept forward towards the mouse nest. The two she-cats behind him are doing the same.
The mouse nest was deep underground, and would require some effort to dig it out to reach the mice. For a normal cat, this was an obstacle. But for a cat who was assigned to guide these cats, such as Frosted snow, it was merely a task. He signaled for Burned Pelt and Bracken Branch to get in ready positions. And the she-cats were on it immediately. Frosted Snow sat down, and began to pave a path through the ground. The ancients have not explained why he was given these powers, but he still pushed forward to the center of the den. The rocks and earth parted to the sides, creating a large enough space to allow the two she-cats a path into the den.
Burned Pelt and Bracken Branch crept forward, as Frosted Snow focused to keep the hole wide enough for the she-cats to push forward into the den without a collapse. A squeak came from down below, and a huge amount of mice began pouring out of the den. The two she-cats busted out after them. As soon as they were clear, Frosted Snow joined the hunt, allowing the den to close as the mice were not focusing on their home.
As the hunt continued on, two cats joined them side by side. Hoping to get an open outcome from this hunt. After they caught an over accepted amount. They split it in two.
"Thank you, the other cats are not in any way helpful to us with prey." the dark gray tabby tom, whose name was Rock, thanked Burned Pelt, Bracken Branch, and Frosted Snow.
"You are too kind, are you sure about this?" the pale gray tabby she-cat, whose name was Stream, asked.
"Go ahead; this prey was a joined hunt." Frosted Snow answered, Burned Pelt and Bracken Branch both nodded.
The dark gray tom gave them a treat, the five of them shared a rabbit the two cats have caught together. Before the five of them split off on their own ways.
Frosted Snow lead the two she-cats back to the camp with the prey draped on their backs, and dangling from their jaws.
A/N: There, our first introduction to two of the first Elementals, and a look of how the powers would work. Little is still known about these gifts to Burned Pelt and Frosted Snow, and Frosted Snow has no idea that his gift is limited for a certain long period of time he uses it.
