(Theme Song Plays)
The camera closes in on the cabins, Chris slowly walks into view holding an airhorn. The camera closes in on him snickering, before blowing the airhorn.
The camera pans to the Gopher cabin, as Lila shoots up and hits her head on the bunk above her. "Ow!" She screams, rubbing it. "Waking us up this early in the morning?" She muttered. The camera panned to the outside of the cabin, as she put her head outside of it. "Such an injustice will not stand as long as I'm here!" She screamed.
The camera flashed white and all 21 contestants stood outside as Chris walked to the edge. "Welcome Campers to your 2nd challenge!" He announced.
"You do know it's 5 in the morning right?" Carl yawned.
"Well can you think of a better time to do a 5k run around the island?" Chris responded, causing groans
~ CONFESSIONALS ~
"It's only day three and I already want him dead." Becky hissed.
~ END CONFESSIONALS ~
"Can't we at least have breakfast first dude?" Kane asked.
"Oh trust me when I say you'll get breakfast Kane." Chris snickered

The camera flashed white and panned across the clearing to reveal the 22 contestants preparing themselves to run. "Ok runners!" The camera panned out to show Chris standing next to a few of the contestants, Nicholas, Kane, Millie, Arnold, Christopher and Karen.
"On your marks...get set...go!" Chris called out, and the contestants set off. The camera closed in on Christopher who sighed, and reluctantly began to run.
~ CONFESSIONALS ~
"Yeah...I'll be the first to admit anything athletic isn't exactly my forte." He admitted. "But I've seen enough shows like Survivor and Big Brother to know you don't need to be the strongest, my plan is to just lay low for a while and then...well I'll cross that bridge when I come to it." Christopher smirked at the camera
~ END CONFESSIONALS~
The camera closed in on the scorching sun, before panning down to the contestants, Archie, Arnold, Jennie and Carl ran past Wendy, who was sitting on a rock filing her nails. The camera closed in on Abbey running past who came to a screeching halt. "Woah, Wendy! What are you doing!?" She screamed.
Wendy paused, looked up at her, unfazed. "What does it look like I'm doing? It wouldn't kill you to work on your looks yknow." She smirked.
Abbey gritted her teeth, and took a step forward before Kirk and India restrained her.
"Woah, stop, its not worth it!" India spoke.
"Yeah, if she wants to give us a reason to vote her off, then let her." Kirk added.
Abbey took a death breath, glared at Wendy one last time before running off into the woods. The camera closed in on Wendy who just smirked.
~ CONFESSIONALS ~
"Ugh, being on this team is more stressful than trying to teach my cousins how to play Star Trek Rivals." Kirk frowned.
"It may look like I'm being lazy, but theres something I know that these idiots don't." Wendy grinned at the camera.
The camera rippled, before showing Wendy stepping out of the shower in a towel. She then heard whispering in the distance, and walked over to it. The camera panned to a bush, Wendy hid behind it before the camera panned again to reveal Chris and Chef chatting. "Seeing who can stay awake the longest? Isn't that just lazy writing?" Chef frowned. "Na trust me, it'll be hilarious! Plus, we'll give them some random gruelling tasks to start off with before telling them what the ACTUAL challenge is." Chris chuckled. Chef's frowned turned into a smile. "You're diabolic man, you know that?" "I know right!" Chris chuckled. The camera panned back to Wendy in the bush, who gave a thoughtful look. The camera rippled again to reveal Wendy in the confessional.
"So, I'll just conserve my energy for the real challenge, and then even if we lose, my team won't vote me off because I'll have done such a great job. I'm more than a pretty face yknow." She smirked.
~ END CONFESSIONALS ~
The camera panned to back to the clearing, a little difference this time. Chris rode past the contestants on a moped, holding a megaphone.
"Pick up the pace people! If you're not back in 2 hours, you don't eat!" He informed, before speeding past.
x
The camera showed the contestants, sitting in the mess hall waiting patiently, the only missing contestants being Christopher, Millie and Wendy. Suddenly, the door slammed and everyones head turned to it. Christopher was panting heavily, before hitting the ground. Millie then walked in, panting heavily as well. "This challenge...wasn't...safe..." She spoke, before hitting the ground. Wendy then casually walked in whistling, still filing her nails.
"Good job queenie, now we just lost the challenge!" Abbey screamed.
"Wait..does that mean we won?" Carl perked up. The contestants paused, before breaking out into a cheer.
"Woah hold your horses guys, who said that was the challenge?" Chris grinned.
~ CONFESSIONALS ~
"What the f*ck did he just say?" Christopher glared at the camera.
~ END CONFESSIONALS ~
"Whos...hungry!?" Chris spoke, as he removed the purple cloth off the table showing a delicious buffet of food.
~ CONFESSIONALS ~
"After a week of this garbage, that food was glorious! Its an ironic take on all those jokes about 'starving artists' though." Jennie chuckled.
"Finally, a meal a person like me actually deserves." Henry smugly grinned.
Erika just sat there, and gave a thumbs up.
~ END CONFESSIONALS ~
The camera panned from one end of the hall to the other, showing all the contestants holding their stomachs, minus Wendy who was grinning.
"Ok." The camera panned to Chris, who jumped onto the table. "Now its time for the real 2nd part of the challenge!" He informed, over a megaphone.
"So what was the point of the eating challenge?" Becky growled, still clutching her stomach.
"Dont worry!" Chris ignored her, and removed, the megaphone. "This is an easy one. Its time for the Awake-A-Thon!" He announced excitedly, reusing the microphone.
"What the hell is that?" India asked Erika, who shrugged.
"It sounds boring." Arnold pouted.
"It also doesn't sound very safe." Millie whimpered, as Arnold groaned in the background
~ CONFESSIONALS ~
"Back home, they call me Mad Man Arnold because of how much I let loose." Arnold chuckled. "But Millie? It seems like her biggest risk in life was having to decide between the chicken or the fish on an air plane." He mused.
~ END CONFESSIONALS ~
"Its simple. The team with the last camper standing, awake, wins!" He spoke, jumping off the table.
"So the entire point of the race, and the eating challenge...was to make us fall asleep faster?" Kirk raised an eyebrow.
"Wow, for a Star Trek fan you're pretty smart." Henry smirked, as Kirk shot him a glare.
"That's right Kirk! Now move, move, move!" Chris announced, through the megaphone again as the contestants slowly walked out of the mess hall.
The camera panned to Abbey, who was struggling to get up due to eating so much food. "Looks like you should've taken it easy." Wendy smirked as she walked past. The camera panned back to Abbey, who gave a knowing look.
~ CONFESSIONALS ~
"Strange, its almost like she knew what today's challenge was." Abbey thought aloud. "But if she did...then why wouldn't she tell the entire team...?"
~ END CONFESSIONALS ~
The camera flashed white, and panned down to the campfire pit, where a 2nd one appeared. In the top right corner, a timer could be seen reading 11:59:58.
"Almost 12 hours have gone by...and all campers are still wide awake..." Chris commentated, as the camera panned past the Killer Bass, and Arnold excitedly moving around.
"This is the coolest thing I've ever done! Lets do this guys!" Arnold cheered, before his eyes rolled into the back of his head and he passed out.
Along the bottom of the screen, the gopher logo with the number 11 appeared, and the Bass logo dinged from 11, to 10.
Gophers: 11 / Bass: 10
"Out of everyone, didn't expect him to fall asleep first." Karen admitted.
"You can say that again." Kirk chuckled.
~ CONFESSIONALS ~
"This challenge is completely stupid." Chelsea scowled. "But it does give me a chance to work more on my strategy. I plan on winning this game, and nothing will change that."
~ END CONFESSIONAL ~
The camera panned to Chelsea, who nudged Danny and Carla. "You two, come with me." She simply spoke, standing up. The latter two shared a look, before shrugging and joining her. Lila watched this, and was going to stand up, before passing out. The camera then panned over to reveal Millie was on the floor, asleep, next to her.
Along the bottom of the screen, the same process occurred, although it read Gophers - 9 ; Bass - 10
Gophers: 9 / Bass: 10
The camera panned back to the trio, now behind the campfire ceremony against a large grey slab, Chelsea leaning against it.
"So, I want the three of us to form an alliance." Chelsea stated.
The two went silent for a beat. "Why us?" Carla shyly asked.
"t appears the lady hast discov'r'd our w'rth to the team" Danny dramatically spoke. The two gave him an odd look.
~ CONFESSIONALS ~
Chelsea was quietly growling. "Patience Chelsea, you can get rid of him later. But for now, you need him." She reminded herself.
~ END CONFESSIONALS ~
"Yes, exactly that!" Chelsea giddily nodded. "So what do you guys say?" She asked.
"I doth concur to joineth this alliance." Danny bowed.
"I don't know..." Carla twiddled her fingers.
"Its fine I guess, but if you were in this alliance, I would be able to help save you from getting eliminated. Oh well, guess I could find someone else..." Chelsea went off.
"No, no! I'll join the alliance!" Carla quickly spoke.
"Great." Chelsea grinned. "Now, we should probably get back to the team before they wonder where we went." Chelsea began to walk back to the campfire pit.
"This appears liketh a most wondrous idea." Danny clapped his hands, upon heading back.
"Yeah...sure..." Carla rubbed her shoulder, and joined them.
~ CONFESSIONALS ~
"Maybe this alliance is what I need to get out of my comfort zone..." Carla started. "Plus, Chelsea is pretty smart, and Danny seems like a nice guy. Maybe we could become friends?" She suggested.
~ END CONFESSIONALS ~
"This is the most boring thing I've ever done in my life." The camera panned to Becky and Simon, the former, who was slumped over scowling.
"I don't know about you, but this feels better compared to the ravenous cliff diving of the first challenge." Simon quipped, causing Becky to giggle, before widening her eyes, and turning away. The camera panned back to Simon, who raised an eyebrow
~ CONFESSIONALS ~
"I don't know if it wasn't obvious already, but I kind of have a thing for Becky, the thing is I don't exactly have a lot of experience with girls..." Simon gave an awkward chuckle, which turned into a sigh.
~ END CONFESSIONALS ~
The camera panned back to Carla, who was struggling to stay awake. "How you holding up?" The camera panned up to Carl, who was smiling above her.
"Oh hey Carl." Carla blushed.
"You doing alright?" Carl asked, taking the stump next to her.
"A lot more now than I was before..." She admitted rather quietly, as the camera zoomed into her face, and then faded to black.
x
the scene faded back, revealing a distance shot of Wawanaka, now in the nighttime, with the digital clock appearing again, reading 23:58:22. The camera zoomed in onto the campfire, and panned to show a few shots around the campfire. Nicholas passed out on the floor, with Christopher sprawled on top of him, also asleep. And then one of Henry sprawled out on the ground.
Gophers: 7 / Bass: 9
"Man, how are you not even tired?" The camera panned to India and Kirk, the former appearing more tired than the latter. The latter, in response shrugged. "I've spent a lot of nights staying up watching sci-fi movies. You're holding up pretty well though." He acknowledged.
India, appeared slightly taken aback from this. "Well I don't mean to brag but I kind of come from royalty.." India admitted. Kirk chuckled until he saw India's unamused face. "Oh you're serious?" He responded. India, nodded. "I'm not a big fan of it, this show is kind of my last chance before I have to be all 'ladylike' and all this crap." She admitted.
"Oh, so you've never had a chance to be a kid?" Kirk mused.
She shook her head. "I've been balancing books on my head and hands since I was like 4. What do you think?" She replied.
"Well, don't worry! Whilst we're on the island I'll teach you all the fun stuff about childhood." Kirk suggested.
"Really? Cool! I wanna ride rollercoasters, I wanna go to parties, I wanna meet boys..." The girl continued to mindlessly chatter about what she wanted, as the camera panned back to Kirk's amused face.
~ CONFESSIONALS ~
"Wow...I can't believe shes never had a proper childhood...that must be sad." Kirk thought for a moment. "I don't think anyone should be deprived of a childhood, I mean I spent mine having my head dunked into toilets...being made fun of for being on the maths team...never being invited to parties...but it's still fun? Right?" Kirk worried.
~ END CONFESSIONALS ~
"Congratulations campers on making it to the 24 hour mark!" The camera panned to Chris, who walked to his usual place at the Campfire, Chef following in a pink sheep outfit, holding a harp. "Time to kick things up a notch, with...fairtytales!" With that, Chris removed the cloth to reveal a stack of large books, picking up a pink one and opening it.
"Oh you have got to be kidding me!" Becky commented off camera.
"Once...upon a time..." Chris ignored her, picking up the book. "There was a boring kingdom. Inside this boring kingdom, was a boring village. And inside this boring sleepy village, filled with very boring children who did boring things..." As Chris read off, the camera panned to a few shot of the contestants. One to Karen, starting to fall asleep, before quickly opening her eyes, and flinging herself with the pink cap on her head, and one of Jennie, leaning up against one of the stumps, close to falling asleep.
Chris then abruptly stopped, upon hearing a large farting noise. The awake contestants turned, and the camera panned to Arnold, who was smiling in his sleep
~ CONFESSIONALS ~
"I should probably mention, eating a lot of food makes me very gassy." He chuckled.
~ END CONFESSIONALS ~
The camera panned to Jennie, Carla, and Becky, who suddenly gave fearful expressions, as the camera panned to Chef, dancing around in a tutu, flinging fairy dusty at the campers, with ballerina music playing in the background. As this happened, the camera played shots of the contestants being flinged with the fairy dust, and beginning to yawn. The camera then played a shot of India and Archie, asleep on the ground, and then Carla, asleep on Carl's shoulder.
GOPHERS: 6 / BASS: 6
The camera cut out, then cut back to a shot behind the campers still awake, in the the top right corner the timer revealed 40:01:52, and closed in on Abbey jogging in place, who gave a look at Wendy, who was still wide awake, and growled.
~ CONFESSIONALS ~
"I couldnt fall asleep!" Abbey confessed. "At least not before that witch."
~ END CONFESSIONALS ~
The camera panned to Wendy sitting on the stump, amused. "What's wrong Abbey? You look like you're slipping up." She patronised. The camera panned to Abbey, who slowed down and began to sway. "You...are...a...bi-" She didn't finish, as she hit the ground.
GOPHERS: 6 / BASS: 5
The camera panned to the Gopher side, specifically closing in on Simon and Carl. "Hey, you good man?" The former nudged the later, who immediately hit the ground. "Carl?" Simon spoke again, then the camera panned to show Chelsea passed out on the floor. "Chelsea?" He then asked off screen. The camera panned back to him. "Well there goes our lead." He muttered over to Jennie, who was playing with some rocks.
GOPHERS: 4 / BASS: 5
~ CONFESSIONALS ~
"Its funny, growing up I hated having to spend so many late nights in the hospital, but now its actually coming in handy." Karen smiled
~ END CONFESSIONALS ~
The camera zoomed in on a long shot of the island, with the timer in the corner reading 51:02:07, it panned to a shot of Wendy passed out on the floor, with Erika looking down and frowning at her
~ CONFESSIONALS ~
"I don't understand! We started the challenge with a major lead and now we're dropping like flies! I'm gonna have to pick up the slack here, no way can we lose again." Erika confesses
~ END CONFESSIONALS ~
GOPHERS: 4 / BASS: 4
"So much...pain...I can't even feel my face..." The camera panned to Kane, who hit the ground. Not asleep, just insanely tired.
"Kane, you alright?" Kirk asked in concern.
"Yeah I'm all good man!" Kane chuckled. "This challenge Is the so much fun..." He slowly spoke.
"Right..." Kirk responded
~ CONFESSIONALS ~
"Dude, that was one of the coolest things ever! I was like, so tired, I could even fall asleep! Sickest challenge ever!" Kane cheered.
"Kane's optimism is really something else...I wish I could be that positive." Kirk confessed
~ END CONFESSIONALS ~
After the static, the camera played a shot of the waterfall, with the timer in the corner, speeding through night and day, and stopping at 85:12:03.
As the camera panned back to the contestant, it played a shot of Kane waking up, and closed in on the stain on the front of his tracksuit bottoms. "Oh man..." he groaned facepalming, Danny mumbling Romeo and Juliet lines in his sleep, and Nicholas and Christopher cuddled up together, the latter kissing the former on the ear. Both wake up screaming and running off.
~ CONFESSIONALS ~
"I don't know what's worse, the fact that was the closest I've had to kissing another person my age, or the fact I didn't find it half bad." Nicholas facepalmed.
"As if the kids at school didn't have enough ammunition against me...you better not air that Chris!" Christopher threatened the confessional.
~ END CONFESSIONALS ~
GOPHERS: 3 / BASS: 3
"And here comes our friendly neighbourhood host man..." Simon whispered to Becky who giggled.
The camera panned to the barrel as Chris walked into view, holding a cup of coffee. "What's the matter with you people? Fall asleep already!" Chris groaned.
"I'm sorry, do you want to take part in the staying awake for OVER 3 DAYS CHALLENGE!" Erika screamed, earning a surprise look from the other contestants.
"Moving on...seems like the girls right now are kicking butt here!" Chris examined, attempting to change the subject.
"Why? Because they're girls you don't expect them to do it as well as the boys!" Lila complained off camera, the camera closed in on Chris' annoyed expression.
"Ok...you six, stay here with me, everyone else, get out." Chris simply spoke, as the camera played shots of the eliminated campers, waking up and walking off.
"Ok campers." The camera panned back to Chris as the last campers left. "I didn't want it to come to this, I said to Chef Hatchet last night, Chef, I don't want it to come to this. But these campers are tough, and I have to bring out the ultimate weapon." Chris spoke, earning worried looks from the campers.
~ CONFESSIONALS ~
"You mean the fairy tales weren't the worst part of this challenge?" Karen asked, wide-eyed in the confessional.
~ END CONFESSIONALS ~
"A pop up book, on the history of Canada. Chapter one," Chris opened the book. "The beaver. The national symbol, and a 'dam' fine hat."
The camera panned to the last six contestants, now sitting in the singular camp fire area expressing their disinterest.
The camera panned to the cabins, where Danny and Carla were walking, before getting pulled off-screen behind the cabins.
"Yes?" Carla asked yawning.
"Just wanted to discuss the vote, and the rate it's going, it appears like losing is in the future." Chelsea growled, scaring Carla a little, causing her and Danny to exchange a worried expression.
The camera panned back to the challenge, where the timer showed 87:23:44, Chris still reading the story.
It closed in on Kirk and Erika, now asleep, and then, Becky, who had also fallen asleep.
GOPHERS: 2 / BASS: 1
"How you holding up?" The camera panned to Simon and Jennie, the latter shrugging.
"Not much of a talker huh?" Simon asked again.
"Not really..." she muttered quietly, appearing deep in thought.
The camera flashed white, revealing some time had passed, and it panned down to show Jennie now sleeping comfortably on the ground.
"Ok, its time for a bathroom break, any takers?" Chris asked, as the camera panned to him.
"Na, I'm all fine..." Simon said, struggling to stay up.
"No thank you." Karen shook her head.
"Just saying, we still have like 10 chapters to go..." Chris added, and Simon's eyes widened.
As he stood up the camera panned back to Chris. "As long as you don't mind some company." He motioned to the cameraman, as Simon rolled his eyes, looking over his shoulder.
"Fine, just make sure you're outside the stall." He reluctantly added, as the camera shook up and down to signify him saying yes.
The Camera flashed white, to reveal the stall. "Simon? You still alive in there?" The cameraman asked before hearing loud snoring, coming from outside the stall.
The camera panned back to Chris, waiting patiently against the barrel, when an intern passed him a note. "And this just in, Simon's taken a dive on the can." He stopped to chuckle. "Meaning, the official winner of the Awake-A-Thon is...Karen!" As Chris said this, Karen dropped to the floor.
The camera flashed white, and all 21 contestants were by Chris at the campfire, Karen and Simon asleep.
"Alright. Since Karen was the last person standing, that means the Bass are today's winners." Chris explained, as the Bass broke out into a half hearted cheer. "Which means Gophers...I'll be seeing you at the campfire tonight." He explained, as the Gophers groaned in disappointment.
The camera flashed white, to reveal it was now night time, and panned in on the Gophers sitting at the campfire ceremony. In the top row, Simon, Becky, Carl, Jennie, Chelsea and Lila, from left to right, and in the bottom row, Christopher, Carla, Danny, Nicholas and Millie were shown sitting.
"Screaming Gophers. Welcome to your first elimination of the season." Chris commented. "Here, all but one of you will receive a marshmallow, and that camper must immediately walk down the shame, and board the boat of losers. And they can't come back. Ever." As Chris said they, they played shots of the contestants, Nicholas and Christopher awkwardly chuckling towards each other, Simon smiling at Becky, and Jennie listening in, uninterested.
"The first marshmallow goes to...Simon." The boy smiled, and went up to collect his marshmallow.
"Becky, Danny, Chelsea, and Christopher." The camera played a shot of all 4 contestants getting their marshmallows.
"Carla, and Lila." The two girls smiled, as they went up to collect their marshmallows.
"Carl, Nicholas, you're safe boys." The two shared a high five as they got their marshmallows.
"Millie, Jennie. This is the final marshmallow. Millie, you were one of the first on your team to fall asleep, plus your constant complaining is quite annoying." Chris explained. "It's not my fault this island has many safety hazards!" She screamed off screen.
"And Jennie. You don't talk much, plus you seem like you really don't wanna be here." Chris shrugged.
"Hmm? Sorry I wasn't listening." Jennie admitted, looking across for the first time.
"However, you did well in the challenge, and so, you're safe." Chris admitted, chucking her a marshmallow.
"Sorry Millie, but the dock of shame awaits..." Chris pointed over.
She sighed. "Well, I understand guys, wait, is the dock stable from last time? Cause it broke and that wasn't very good..." She squirmed.
"Just go!" Chris screamed back, and the girl quickly scurried along, and boarded the boat of losers.
~ CONFESSIONALS ~
"Millie, although it would've been easy to intimidate her into being one of my lackeys, she's way too annoying. Carla may be smart, but shes way too timid to stand up to me. Plus, Danny is pretty much an idiot. This game, is mine. And no one else's." Her eyes darkened, upon that last line.
~ END CONFESSIONALS ~
Author Notes: Well, not much to say, except things actually started happening in this episode. So incase it wasn't obvious, there are two couples which are gonna happen. Simon and Becky, and Carl and Carla. There is another one, but thats gonna be a surprise.
So the first alliance of the season is made! Chelsea's alliance, however don't expect it to end the way it does because Danny and Carla aren't as dumb or desperate as Lindsay or Beth.
Millie being eliminated was kind of an obvious choice here, I don't want her having to have a lot of screen time because, lets face it, she's quite repetitive as a character, just complaining about everything.
Oh, if anyone has any questions about my characters, feel free to ask and they'll be revealed in the next episode, but with that, I'm out. Peace.
TDI:R Elimination Order
