Chapter 3.- Raúl vs. Baraka.
(Evil warns: This chapter contains vulgar and offensive language, explicit violence and death. I strictly warn that if you read below is at your own risk)
After infiltrating into the castle, the defenders had managed to steal a few fruits, some beef and some bread. As they ate, they rejoiced at how easy it had been.
- They're so stupid! - Laura laughed as she bit into an apple.
- This definitely couldn't have been easier. - Raúl said while filling his mouth with meat.
- Be quiet! - Evil snapped. - We should not say things like that out loud!
- Why you say so? - Asked Laura and Raúl at the same time.
- So you were the ones who stole the castle! - Shang Tsung shouted from a high rock.
- Raúl, Laura, have I ever told you how much I hate you? - Evil let out while glaring at his teammates.
- Just finish them! - Shang Tsung roared as he left the place.
A man with razor-sharp teeth, who also had two knives sticking out of his forearms, a man with a bionic eye and a monster carrying a wrecking ball appeared in front of the defenders, they swallowed hard and prepared to fight.
- Who fights who? - Raúl asked.
- I'll take care of the cyborg. - Laura said as she cracked her knuckles (again).
- Of course, pick the weakest! - Evil complained.
- How dare you...?! - The cyborg snapped.
- Would you mind? We're having a conversation here. - Laura said nonchalantly.
- Let me take care of the monster. - Evil said as he finished eating a piece of bread.
- Well, it looks like I will fight against this monstrosity. - Raul said as he pulled his staff.
While the defenders stood in combat stance, Shang Tsung made a spell, which sent fighters to three different areas of the island.
Moloch was in a cave along with Evil, Baraka was at the beach with Raul, and Kano was in the jungle with Laura.
- Curse you, Shang Tsung! - Shouted the three defenders from wherever they were.
For now we will see the encounter between Raúl and Baraka. Raul looked at his opponent, growled in frustration and stood in a fighting stance.
- Oh well, whatever. - Raul said reluctantly. - After I finish you, I'll get Laura and Evil, let's get this over with before I forget that.
Baraka roared and pulled out the knives from his forearms.

Baraka lunged at Raúl, trying to drive his forearm blades onto the teenager's torso, but the latter managed to dodge him, not without taking a rather large cut in his right leg. Raúl growled and rose again, only to be forced to dodge another attack from Baraka, then the seer cast a spell against the Tarkatan. Baraka crashed against a rock and glared at the Defender with which he was dealing.
- What's the matter, Baraka? - Asked the Seer with derision. - Is that all you got?
Baraka roared and pounced on the seer again, only this time the latter received him with a hard blow to the stomach. After this, Raúl hit Baraka on the head with his staff.
The Tarkatan promptly recovered and lunged at the Seer, hitting him in the face as hard as he could. Raúl fell backwards, crashing into the soft sand, he was somewhat stunned but knew he had to move if he wanted to live.
Raúl rolled on the floor, evading one of Baraka's blades which almost stabbed him in the stomach. However, Baraka grabbed Raul's ankle and tried to pull him towards his other blade but the Seer managed to turn and kick Baraka in the face with his injured leg, getting rid of the grip but injuring himself on at the same time. Then he tried to stand, but the pain in his leg didn't let him.
"Fuck! If I don't stand up and fight back, I'm dead." Raúl thought as he bared his teeth and growled in pain.
Baraka attacked again, this time trying to behead the teen; fortunately Raúl managed to dodge and kick Baraka. The Tarkatan roared and tried to attack with his blades, only to be blocked by the Seer with his staff.
Both began to push each other and showed their teeth because of the effort they were doing. To Raúl's misfortune, Baraka was stronger than him, so he was in a predicament. Baraka could feel the Seer's fear to death, and the Tarkatan smirked wider. Raúl couldn't keep pushing anymore, otherwise his staff would break and Baraka would cut his head off, so he started focusing and the stone around his neck shone in a very intense way, enough to temporarily blind Baraka and make him step back. Raúl cast a healing spell on his leg and finally stood up.
- Okay, you stupid asshole, you made me angry. - Raúl said as he held his staff with both hands.
Baraka roared and pounced on Raúl to hit him in the face, but the Seer evaded and kneed him in the stomach. Baraka grumbled but elbowed Raúl on the back, making the seer hit the ground.
Raúl rolled to the side and stood up quickly, only to have to crouch again to dodge Baraka's blades. Raúl gave a strong punch in the stomach to Baraka, which was answered by a knee to his face. Raúl fell back on the sand while his blood flowed freely down on his face. After being down for two seconds, the seer stood up and wiped the blood from his face with his sleeve. Raúl glared at Baraka and said:
- You're going to die now!
Baraka scoffed at the assertion of the youngstr, thinking that he had nothing that could even harm him. But the Tarkatan was wrong.
Raúl closed his eyes and began muttering a spell, with which his fists were covered in an energy field. When the seer opened his eyes, looked defiantly Baraka.
Baraka pulled knives on his forearms and roared, just before Raúl's right fist impacted his face hard, breaking several of his teeth. Before the Tarkatan could process what had happened, the seer hit him in the abdomen and the stomach, just before he kneed him in the face. Baraka fell back and Raúl seized the opportunity to jump and fall heavily on Baraka's chest, suffocating the Tarkatan. Raúl jumped again, this time backwards and got ready to finish the match while Baraka stood up.
Baraka wiped blood from his face and pulled out the knives on his forearms, ready to kill the stupid guy that had hurt him.
Raúl had closed his eyes again, but this time he was speaking and breathing quietly, concentrating on his next move.
Baraka lunged at Raúl, trying to stab his knives right in the Seer's heart, but the Outworld Warrior hit an invisible shield, leaving him completely stunned.
Raúl opened his eyes and threw the stone that was around his neck at Baraka, who caught it in his hands and watched as it emanated a powerful light. Then the seer suddenly opened his eyes but they were emanating a purple magic field. The stone in Baraka's hands began to heat up and then caused several flames envelop the Outworld Warrior. Baraka squealed and squirmed a few seconds before being reduced to ashes.
Raúl smirked and walked over to recover his stone from the ashes.
- I win, you die. - Raúl said.
The seer hung the stone around his neck and walk into the jungle to start looking for his peers, leaving Baraka's ashes on the sand.
