It's an early morning though not any earlier than any other morning Adrien has had to get up before, and while he feels excitement curl over his heart, he was not expecting the sudden bout of nerves.

He reminds himself that the town is small and that he's attended fashion shows with much larger crowds than this tiny town; it's almost soothing to remember yesterday, and how he'd already met two of his future classmates as they looked around his age.

Adrien's closet has a way of feeling full yet nearly empty as he sets to work picking out the best kinds of clothes for a first day of school; something that looked flattering and not at all like a foreigner's choice of attire.

He sighs as he pulls on jeans even though it's still quite warm out and pulls on a white jacket and a black shirt with three stripes on it before sliding his newly socked feet into a bright pair of tennis shoes.

Adrien steps out of his new room to find that Chloe has somehow managed to find a short skirt and a shirt that almost clings to her frame; she's foregone the jacket, and Adrien debates for what feels like the millionth time over whether he's actually going to fit in or if Chloe will fit in.

He remembers the tied back shirt that the second girl was wearing and the button up shirt that Alya had worn paired with cut off jean shorts and cowgirl boots; he knew what two girls wore, but what did the boys wear around here?
Adrien lets Chloe cling to his arm tightly and tries to think of how they are going to blend in in some way; if this were as tiny of a town as he thought it was, then they definitely wouldn't look like they belonged regardless of what they wore.

He bit back a nervous groan and left the hallway with Chloe at his side to grab something to eat for breakfast as he debated how he was going to handle this new school day; he loved the idea of going to school, but he had no idea if he'd even fit in all the way here in America.

The school was a short walk away from his house and didn't look like much at all; it was a rather small building compared to what he expected though he brushed that thought aside.

He walked up the school steps with Chloe, grabbed their schedules, and found his way to the classroom with a bit more effort than he'd expected; it was a bit harder to find than he'd expected.

Alya was wearing a plaid button up shirt with cut off jeans and cowgirl boots today, leaning over and talking to her cute friend who looked a little tired from where she lay over her desk, what looked like a bakery box in front of her.

He realized with a start that the people closest to the door were talking about hunting of all things; one was a purple haired girl and the other was a much taller boy with broad shoulders.

Apparently over the weekend, they'd went out hunting and were currently arguing over who had caught the biggest game.

His eyes darted over to a short, blond haired student that headed their way in a hurry, a girl with darker hair with a purple streak following closely behind her.

"You're from France, right?" The petite girl chirped in with a cheery smile, "Paris? That's so cool!" She bounced on her toes, the living embodiment of pure joy.

"Y-Yeah." Adrien blinked at her enthusiasm before Chloe chose to ruin the potential new friendship.

"Definitely better than this small town in the middle of nowhere." Chloe hissed, sticking her nose up in the air.

The darker haired girl gave her a disapproving frown before tugging the other girl with her back to her seat.

"Dude, tell your sister to calm down." Grumbled a headphones wearing guy in the front seat as he slumped down.

Alya was already pulling her quieter friend along before she turned to face Chloe head on, "Look, miss-I'm-better-than-everyone-else, Rose is one of the nicest people that I've ever met, and you have no right to talk to her that way. You didn't have to move here, 'princess.'" The harsh statement was punctuated with an ever harder glare before she tugged her friend back to where they were sitting towards the front of the classroom.

Great, the first day of school is already turning out terribly.
