A/N: Probably expect another chapter later today :) Also I'm going back and editing when ever I get the chance. A lot of the first chapters will be focusing on OCs because its tentative to how the plot unfolds. (Believe me, I really want to write about L, but I gotta be a little bit patient)

Disclaimer: I own only own OCs, I don't own Death note or the L.A.P.D.

Sender: unknown

Subject: poison

I'm in need of a vial, one of something I can murder the ex-wife with. I can pay you at least ten grand. Twenty if you make something that will make her suffer a very painful death. Please reply, I'm desperate at this point!

Juvella glared at the email, immediately glancing down the hall from the computer room to the basement door. This was the fifth email in two days, and regardless of the large sum of cash. Someone quite obviously got hold of his home email, which was one he had never given out except to family.

Despite living in a very small house in the more ghetto part of L.A. he had more than one home. This being his main home, and it contained the hard to obtain mixtures to make his poisonous solutions that way in case his other laboratories were seized, he wouldn't lose anything to precious. He hit the reply button.

"Your sending these requests to the wrong person."

He shut off the computer and turned on the TV. Right away it was news about a massive snowstorm that had been brewing for the last few days on the east coast. A particular nasty one at that, the man standing in the snow was barely audible, and required a voice over. It made him chuckle slightly, however it was a forced laugh.

In reality he was very unamused, he couldn't help but be slightly nervous by the email he received. Clearly it was trying to bait him. Having gotten odd emails before. He couldn't help but wonder who the hell was sending them. He shut off the TV and quickly left the computer room, needing to get his mind off things. Entering the basement, He looked over to the fridge that had the message he had prepared for Camny. He called him earlier in the day to stop by when he had time as he had some of the details on the poison, finally haven Identified most of it.

It was an unusual substance indeed, and here he thought he was diabolical for making poisons that could result in a particularly nasty death, but this guy had him beat. Using fluid from a corpse, even though he made stuff to kill, he wasn't about to actually kill anyone with his own hand.

The doorbell rang, and it caused him to jump out of his skin briefly. Thankfully he quickly regained his composure, running a hand through his black hair to make himself look like he was just lounging without so much a care. Rather than open the door all the way, he prepared a chain lock before opening it a crack.

"Oh? its just you?" Juvella shut the door unlocking the chain.

Camny glanced around, something obviously had Juvella weary, normally he'd just open the door. "Something happen?" Camny asked, stepping inside.

"hm, not really anything to be concerned about. but I might be moving to one of my other houses soon." He answered without a care in the world.

Camny, almost tripped as he took off his shoes, "What? Really?"

Juvella shrugged, unlocking the basement door, yeah. He was clearly worried about something.

"So, I have a detailed police style report for you." He said as he reached the bottom step, pulling the paper out from under the magnet of the basement fridge, passing it to the eager hands "Give it a read, and Ill answer any of your questions."

Carrion was injected with venom that can destroy skin tissue, making the poison much more venomous. Very small amounts of Hydrofluoric acid have been detected. The venom came from a spider, possibly a Chilean Recluse which is native to the area.

Broken down, the poison consists of about:

94% Carrion

5% Hydrofluoric acid

1% Chilean Recluse

0.02% FeCu

"FeCu?" Camny questioned.

"Nothing toxic, its just iron and copper. But the trace was so small, I am amazed I even found any of it. Unfortunately I no longer have any of the sample you gave me left. I performed a lot of tests on it." Juvella confirmed

"All I can say is... wow. Thanks!" He pocketed the paper, "Next time I see you Ill bring you some take out."

Juvella suddenly gave a look of slight concern, but Camny didn't notice as he began his ascent upstairs. When he heard the front door close, he rushed upstairs, opening it quickly. "Camny. I need to speak with you actually. Before you head off."

'Well he did look fairly concerned about something, then this talk about moving?' Camny nodded, "Yeah, I suppose I can stay for a little bit."

Juvella, led him this time to his computer room. booting up the computer. "Tell me Camny? Do you like black tea?"

"Do you have coffee?"

Juvella nodded, leaving the room, it was sort of an excuse so he could think on how to bring up a concern he had. Within five minutes he returned, giving Camny the coffee.

"I need to know... Has anything leaked about the poisoning?" Juvella leaned a bit closer waiting intently for an answer.

"Nothing, Its in the database that its a poisoning though. It hasn't even leaked to the media."

Juvella sat back, turning towards the computer screen. Opening the email he received earlier. "See this is my home e-mail address. Just my family have access to it, but since that death, I received several letters from an unknown address. Which is partly why Ill be ready to pack up and move, especially if I'm suspected by police for my criminal behaviour."

Camny read it over, "It sounds suspicious, and holy crap... that's a large sum of money they're offering."

"This is bait, normally I'm just sent money directly as a down payment. I haven't received any such funds. This process is done very discreetly I might add, plus the poisons aren't even sent by mail. So I cannot be traced. I don't think its a coincidence... Someone is clearly investigating me and it might be based around that murder."

'Someone's investigating the case? But I haven't even put in the results other than writing in poison.' "Ill try to find out for you. Just hold tight. Could I have the email?"

"Oh go right ahead, if its in fact legit, please invite me to they're trial, as clearly I'm a victim here." Juvella smirked. Writing the email out. "Thank you Camny I can always count on you."

"That's clearly sarcasm your using..."

"Heh, clearly." Juvella glanced at the computer. "Oh well look at the time! Also expect a call from me as I might need to move into your house at some point."

"What? But I live in a one bedroom suite!"

"You have a couch?"

"Well, yes bu-"

"See there's no issue, you'll have a place to sleep. Anyways..." Juvella stood and faked a yawn, quickly leaving the room before Camny could protest. "Off with you, I'm going to bed."
