Phoenix felt like he was preparing to have a date with the devil. His bookbag is emptied except for pokeball and some money, yet it felt like he was being dragged down. Going through the glass doors was stress bomb that exploded, and with the chore he was about to attempt, the stress grew worse. Phoenix had no idea which center he came; he didn't bother to ask, as he can simply get a taxi. Even the simple task such as getting in a taxi was new territory for.

After the few awkward minutes of what was a passable yet embarrassing attempt of getting a taxi, one finally pulled near him.

The window slowly pulled down, and the man driving in a deep, gravelly voice asked, "Where do you want to go?"

Phoenix fumbled through one of his pockets and grabbed a large handful of loose change. He waved the money around for the driver to notice. "I have this much money," he claimed. "Will this do to go to Professor Sycamore's?"

The taxi driver eyes popped for slight moment, but then laughed it off. "Sure. Then get me a few rare candies at the nearby Pokemon Center while you're at, won't ya?"

The driver did a loud, full-hearted laugh, but after a few a seconds of Phoenix's silence, his laugh faded uncomfortably. He pointed to the back, "Get in, you can pay once we reach the destination."

Phoenix wasted no time standing, walking towards the car and getting in, pocketing the money shortly after. Phoenix set his book bad aside and got his seat belt on as the taxi began to pull out of its previous standby position. As taxi started moving in silence, the foreigner was finally able to marvel at Lumiose City. Buildings are everywhere, big and small, everything being so unique capturing a level of beauty that only an area's scenery can capture. A city back at Earth like New York or Chicago is enough is to let Phoenix's interest levels through the roof, but a new dimension of beauty is added Lumiose City compared to Earth's big cities.

Pokemon. Everything is Pokemon related. Instead of a person walking alone, there's most likely a Pokemon accompying the loner. Certain monuments in Lumiose City resembles landmarks on Earth, such as the Eiffel Tower and Prism Tower. All products are different, too. Starbucks? Sawsbucks. Gorilla Glue? Infernape Glue. Teddy Grahams? Teddiursa Grahams. Although from what Phoenix has saw during the drive so far, everything isn't Pokemon inspired. There are some companies he has seen that could have been perfectly acceptable on Earth, but it's completely different as far as culture goes.

With all this eye-candy, Phoenix almost didn't realize the car was slowing down, and he was caught off guard when the taxi did stop. Luckily, Phoenix was able to to grab a decent amount of money from his pocket without the taxi driver waiting too long. The taxi took what was handed to him, but gave back around half the money he received. The teen unbuckled, grabbed his bookbag, and got out of the taxi. He slung bookbag to his shoulders and waved off to the taxi driver. Phoenix turned around to Professor Sycamore's lab, the building was not what he was expecting. Unlike the Sycamore's Lab in Pokemon X or Y, the lab he was about to enter was a lot more modern and fresh than what the game made it look like. Also, the lab is a lot wider than it was in the game if it was scaled, and the lab sported tan and some brown, while game had the lab using a lot of green and tan.

There was people walking left and right, and bumping into isn't something Phoenix wants to deal with and vice versa. So when Phoenix got the chance, he crossed the sidewalk that seperated him from the lab. As he was about to open one of the double door, it automatically opened. The first room he saw was large, but simple. There was a long and wide, red carpet that extended into three other branching rooms. The room itself was rather hollow, with only a few chandeliers, and the sunlight glistening through the building's windows.

"Hello," Phoenix boomed. It echoed. "Professor Sycamore, are you here?"

Dull footsteps were audible for Phoenix and he thought there were coming from the right side of the room. He was right, as a dark figure was approaching Phoenix. After a few more footsteps, he was able to identify the figure. It was indeed the black, wavy haired professor. Professor Sycamore offered his hand as a greeting, but he still had a confused look.

"I hate to be rude," Professor Sycamore started. "But do I know you?"

"No," Phoenix responded. "I'm Phoenix. I need you to take a look at this Pokemon. It's rather captivating."

"Go ahead. Impress me."

That gave Phoenix the signal to go with the do or die part of the plan. He let the book bag straps slip away from his shoulders and let a hand grab onto one if the straps. Phoenix reached into the small pocket of the bookbag and grabbed a small version of a Pokeball. He pushed the button and enlargened in Phoenix's hand.

"Here we go," the teen cheered as he threw the Pokeball lightly into the air. A yellow, human-like Pokemon with a pendulum appeared next Phoenix and the Kalos professor. Phoenix looked at the professor and his face seemed carefree and untroubled.

Phoenix gave a smile and a little pat on the psychic Pokemon. "Alright, Hypno, do your thing."

The pendulum starts to swing, and Professor Sycamore's face stricken with horror once he realized what Phoenix was doing. He tried to look away from the hypnosis Pokemon, but the pendulum was simply too mesmerizing. His eyes start to slowly close.

"Fuck yo," was the only thing the victim could have let out before he was under Phoenix's control.

"Don't worry Professor," Phoenix reassured. "You won't do anything too bad. You're just lucky that I'm the worst you have to deal with. Now, first things first." He look around the room and the surrounding hallways. "Is anybody aside us three in this building here? I hate to have anybody interfering."

"Yes," Professor answered with his eyes still closed. "Although it's my assistant. She should be with the Pokemon right now."

A sigh of relief came from the teen. As long as Phoenix avoids where the Pokemon are, he should be good. Phoenix decided to not take the risk that his Hypno may wander off and socialize with Pokemon. Yet, he has no idea where Hypno's Pokeball went. Once Phoenix threw the Pokeball it disappeared. He decided to check the pocket of the book bag where he got the Pokeball. It was indeed in there, so Phoenix made a guess about how throwing Pokeballs work. If you throw a Pokeball, it will be in the place last stored. If it's last stored in your pocket and you throw the Pokeball, it's transport into your pocket. If you have some kind of strap to hold on to your Pokeballs, they'll be back in that strap. Phoenix grabbed the ball.

"Hypno return," the new trainer commanded. Phoenix pushed the button on the Pokeball, a red beam shone upon Hypno, and Hypno too became engulfed in red light. The hypnotist disappeared after the light faded.

"Okay," Phoenix started. "I needs you to do just a small portion of things alright? When I say 'beartooth', you will open your eyes take actions on all of my request, you understand?" A nod comes from the hypnotized man. "Great! Alright, first you need to make a Pokemon Trainer ID; no questions asked. I'll assist on information that you don't know because I can't leave that blank. Next, you will call the Nurse Joy in the North Pokemon Center and tell her that I, Phoenix, am alright and now starting my Pokemon journey. Then after that, you will delete all security footage today if you have any. Finally, after I say 'Chevelle', you will forget this encounter with me. Understand?"

Another nod came from the professor and Phoenix smiled. ''I guess we can just start now," Phoenix assumed. "Beartooth."

With the magic words, Professor Sycamore's eyes came into view as his eyelids go up. He didn't look that different when Phoenix first saw Professor Sycamore. The only notable difference was his eyes. His eyes haven't changed that much where make people give second looks, but they did appear really glazed. Phoenix clapped and with a smug voice he said, "Let's go start making that trainer ID, shall we?"

Professor Sycamore obliged considering he was under Phoenix's spell. They went down the left hallway and on a room after a few good steps of walking. It wasn't anything special. The room was just a dark small office with only a measly lamp to support the room with light. The room was really bland, as it nothing aside from a few pictures hanging on the wall and the typical desk set. If you didn't know, the desk set is what you see on every desk in an office: a computer, a lot of papers, seat and a copier. The copier looked slightly peculiar, but everything else seemed down-to-Earth with Phoenix.

"So I'm guessing we have to fill out the application through this computer," Phoenix asked.

"Yes," the wavy haired man answered. He begins walking to the desk as Phoenix follows. "After we fill it out, we can just print it on this 3D printer right here," Professor Sycamore said as softly patted the copier.

"Well that explains my question with the copier," Phoenix thought.

Professor pulls out the seat near the desk and jiggles the mouse in order for the laptop to awaken. The computer shined with life as the logo Glass appeared, followed by a login screen. After six or seven characters, he was in. "Alright," Sycamore said. "Just let me click on this." He an application and it booted up. "And this. And... this. Ah ha! Now we can enter the information."

The two entered what information was needed rather quickly; the process only took about five minutes. It asked for simple things such as your name, age, and address. All of which were very easy to either answer truthfully or as lie. Phoenix just said that him or his parents didn't have an address, and instead his family was on a journey. He had to enter his hometown, however, so he decided to enter in Lumiose. If Phoenix wins anything special, the city natives don't have to question if he really lived there, as Lumiose City was really populated.

"Now all we got to do is print this," Professor Sycamore said. "And you'll have your own license." Short, but loud mechanical noises could be heard, meaning that the license is beginning

"Cool," Phoenix thanked. Although thanking is rather inappropriate in this situation, considering that Professor Sycamore is this under Phoenix's instruction.

That's pretty neat, Phoenix thought to himself. I guess that's why people like Giovanni enjoys being villain.

"Making the phone call now would be a good idea," Phoenix suggested.

"That's what I was about to do," the Kalos Professor said, but he had a rather confused look. "I'll go do it, but I was checking my inbox, and there's a message directed for you."

Phoenix took a double take as Professor Sycamore got up from his seat. Yes, the hypnotic oaf was right! The professor's email application was running and the message was for Phoenix! As soon as Professor Sycamore got left some space for the seat, Phoenix got into that seat as the floor lava. He eyes glanced over the message.

I don't know you've done it, but you were somehow capable of getting clue two before reading clue one! Now how about that? You know I'm sort of impressed. Nobody ever used that genner this effectively when using it for the first time. I remember when I used that for the first time. It was rather an idiotic use, but that Vannilite was pretty damn good! OK, as far clue #3 goes, let me give you a hint: This is able to reflect light. But you'll fins the next clue in the darkest part of this building.

Sincerly, Ten

Many question swarmed around his head.

"Who the hell is 10?"

"Did I seriously miss clue #1?"

"Other people have genners?"

"Ten seriously killed and consumed a Vannilite?"

"How... Does he know I'm here using the Professor's email?"

Phoenix is starting make these messages as puzzles. The pieces are slowly coming together, yet it's a puzzle where you think there's only 100 pieces, but turns out to be 1,000 because your eyes are some lazy fucks. Now there was a few things he now knows. One, he's not alone. Whatever mess he's in, it's not something that hasn't been done before. Two, they must be similar to him some fashion. If he's chosen to do some serious or dumb tasks, he must have some kind of skill that other people such as Ten are capable of doing.

"I made that call and you should off whatever hook you were in," Professor Sycamore claimed as he walked into the room as Phoenix his head turned around to see Sycamore . "I swear, she could not talking. Blah this; blah that. She's really nice, but she needs a mute button every now and then. Hopefully Arceus answers my prayers sooner or later." A chuckle comes for his complaints, but the professor suddenly becomes serious. "Wouldn't it be great if you got anything you want?"

"Uh..." Phoenix honestly had no idea how to respond to that. The question seemed rather specific considering his change of tone, and the recent requirement of the genner gave even more pressure to Phoenix when he was answering. "Sure," he finally nodded. "Um, do you have any video surveillance?"

"No."

"That's good," Phoenix sighed to himself. "One less chore to worry about. I guess I'll depart for now, but please, follow me." Phoenix got up from the chair, getting his ID that recently finished printing, and walked out room. Professor Sycamore followed. Phoenix lead the way until he reached to where he entered; then he turned around to the professor. What Phoenix planning is that when the door starts to close, he'll bolt out of the lab saying the keyword so the professor will wake up, yet never see Phoenix. He slowly begins to back up, the door sounds as if it's automatically. He takes a deep breath as he's nearing outside.

"Chevelle," he shouts and turns around and sprints to left managing his way through passerby people.

"I hope you know I was never hypnotized," Professor Sycamore screams back.

Oh Phoenix now knows that. He definitely knows that.

"Fuck!"

Author's Note: That was definitely a fun chapter to write. Rather difficult since it was primarily actions, but I think some great plot development went down. Instead of being nagged down Nurse Joy, he may get screwed by Professor Sycamore. Now Phoenix is able to do more things without worry, which is great for Phoenix.

Update 7/6/15 - Also, I feel like a dick not mentioning this until now, but I would like to thank all actually follow or review this story. Rather rude of me not saying this until now, but it sort of slipped my mind.

Favorites, follows, and reviews are appreciated!
