Soooo... I didn't realize it's been 3 years since I updated this. So much has happened and it's crazy. I graduated High School, started college, met a guy, dropped out, moved in with the guy, got engaged and am getting married this coming March. BUT! I lost my job last year and my friend brought up my stories so here I am 3 years later! I had this chapter written in March of 2013, so I'm uploading it as it and starting chapter 5 to continue! (: Enjoy!

Chapter 4

The Fallout

Over the course of the next few weeks, the famous inseparable trio of Hogwarts had more than enough arguments and soon became a distant memory. Harry came to realize the only person he could truly depend on were himself, and of course Luna Malfoy. He lay in his bed and recalled the last fight he and Ron had shared, and the information revealed leaving him with many sleepless nights.

Harry walked into the dorm room and saw Ron laying on his bed flying a paper crane around the room. Ron quickly sat up and the crane tumbled to the floor when he heard Harry walk in. Harry looked up at Ron. He looked ill, like he hadn't slept or ate in a few days.

"Ron, you look horrible." Harry pointed out to him.

"I would say the same about you but I never see you anymore. You're always off snogging with that snake." Ron mumbled under his breath. Harry didn't seem to hear him and carried on with his undressing. Ron's eyes trailed along Harry's body and before he knew it, he was standing right behind him.

"Uhm, Ron? Are you okay? You're standing a little close aren't you?" Harry took half a step away from Ron and looked at him curiously. His eyes seemed glazed over and his cheeks were a light pink. "Ron?"

"Why'd you have to pick her, Harry? Her family will never accept you… You'll just end up getting hurt… Why couldn't you see what was right in front of you?" Ron mumbled, looking down at his feet.

"Ron, what are you talking abou-" Harry's question was cut off by a pair off lips smashing into his. His eyes widened and he fell back onto his bed, Ron falling on top. Ron's lips desperately pressed against Harry's and Harry could feel the cold wetness of tears against his cheek. He pushed Ron back and saw that his best mate was crying, his face a bright red and his eyes clenched tight. Harry sat in stunned silence and watched as Ron slowly opened his eyes and looked up at him. They were full of pain, love, and betrayal. They stung Harry in a way he didn't understand.

"Why did you choose her, Harry?" Ron whispered, his voice rising with every word. "How could you not see what was right in front of you! For seven years, Harry! I have been with you all along for seven years! How could you not have known?! Harry… I love you, Harry…" Ron's voice broke and he fell back into sobs. "How could you choose the enemy over me…? How could you not even tell me?!"

"R-Ron…" Harry started, not knowing what to say. "Ron, I-I'm sorry.. I didn't know.. Why didn't you tell me you felt this way? Ron, I'm sorry but I can't..return those feelings." He started to reach an arm out to comfort Ron, but he slapped his arm away.

"Save it for someone who cares, Potter." Ron stood up and left the room, slamming the door behind him.

Two weeks ago, Harry thought. That fight was two weeks ago. Ever since then, Ron hadn't spoken a single word to him, won't even look at him. It seems Hermione has also taken to Ron's idea of avoiding him. She never leaves Ron's side and whenever Harry comes around, she leads him away.

Harry stared up at the ceiling as tears slowly slid down his face. Seven years of friendship gone, over a girl. Is this really worth it? His heart ached at the thought of leaving Luna, and fresh tears flowed out of his eyes. He rolled over and clenched them closed tight and prayed for sleep to take him, knowing it would evade him like always.

So I hope ya'll like this suuuuper short chapter. I don't even remember writing it those 3 years ago but here it is. Now to sit and plan what comes next, any ideas? Till next time!
