"Your hand needs proper care." I heard Loki's voice come from the entrance and I quickly turned my head away from him in an attempt to hide what he's already seen.

"Is there something you need?" I asked hoping maybe he'd just take the hint and leave.

"I've noticed you haven't eaten anything." He said casually.

"..." I merely shrugged before getting up and making my way to the mirror again and slipped the contacts back on before facing him.

"There's reason behind my quirks, don't worry. I will still be able to cater to your needs. This isn't my first fast." I said simply. He didn't seem to react to me and just left the room. I felt a sharp pain come from my hand when I bumped it on the dresser on my way to follow him to the living room. I inhaled deeply and concentrated only on my breathing to ease the pain. Once it subsided I continued my way to the living room. The figure from my dreams suddenly appeared before me for a moment before disappearing back to the depths of my mind. I touched my head gingerly with my left hand before running it down my hair in a nervous tick. My mind was beginning to play tricks on me. I looked up ahead of me and almost jumped out of my skin, I quickly realized it was just Loki and I rolled my eyes. I was being ridiculous, there was no way I would run into the shrouded figure yet, my visions always took a while to manifest. Still, it didn't shake my uneasy feeling.

"Let me see your hand." Loki demanded. I looked at him with confusion but obeyed and let him see my wounded hand. I was half tempted to give him my left but he would have just insulted me and ruined the fun. He examined the wound and his brows knit together in what I could only guess was confusion.

"You did this to yourself." He didn't seem to believe my first explanation.

"Yes." I said simply, I rolled my eyes, this wasn't the worst I had done to myself. My body was littered in scars, I was a regular at the hospital at one point because they thought I was suicidal but that wasn't the case at all. I began to feel a warm sensation in my hand and my attention went straight to it. There was a warm shower of light that gently descended against my wound from Loki's finger tips. I felt it gently sway through me like a warm summer breeze gently caressing me in a sweet embrace. I opened my eyes as I realized I had subconsciously closed them and I noticed as the skin re-knitted itself together, my hand began to grey. I quickly ripped my hand away as I noticed. I was unsure if he saw it or not but his surprise at my sudden recoil seemed to say he didn't.

"I'm sorry I have to stop... I..." I searched for words in a frenzy but couldn't form any and looked at him to see he was now aggravated. I wasn't sure why but my legs buckled under my weight and I could feel myself falling into another vision.

I could see a figure in red and yellow armor flying to the figure I had dreamt about earlier. I was there as well, I was helping up someone in a black catsuit. She had fiery red hair and deep blue eyes. I didn't ask who she was, instead I turned my attention behind me to see the figure discard his black robes, revealing a strongly built man, his skin a deep violet color and piercing eyes. He had a gauntlet on his hand and when another figure in a blue uniform approached him he grabbed them and flung them easily to the ground. I watched in horror as his gaze turned to me. I stepped back scared, but this time before he could attack I reached my hands out with determination and a dark force within me stirred. My hand sent a dark wispy force that seemed to push him back into the building behind him. What I could now tell were my allies called to me, telling me to run. The man gave me a dark grin that froze me, before he spoke.

"You are a rather annoying nuisance, Lady death would be please to have your soul as yours." I froze in fear then and I could only watch him as he neared me, I could almost feel death washing over me already. I shut my eyes with tears in my eyes tight and awaited my impending doom in utter fear.

I put my hands over my head in fear but nothing came. I slowly opened my eyes and saw the blurry carpet on the floor. I was shaking in fear in my own hallway. I remembered Loki was healing me not that long ago. This wasn't normal, my visions never came this consecutively. I noticed the curtain of hair in my face but it wasn't its normal sable color, it was now white. I froze, it never progressed this far. I didn't bother looking at Loki and I ripped myself from the floor and went straight into the bathroom and saw that my all hair was stark white, I ran my fingers through my hair in a nervous wreck. What was happening? I quickly looked through the cabinets under the sink and found a dark brown dye kit. I don't remember when I had gotten this but I quickly opened it and began to pour the the foul smelling liquids together and shook the bottle frantically. I quickly began to apply it into my hair. I didn't notice the strong fumes and could only focus on getting every single strand.

After about thirty minutes of letting the dye sit I began to rinse it out in the shower. The fumes had already begun to affect me, I felt as light as a feather and the room didn't stop spinning. I tried my best to focus on just rinsing out the product. A stream of brown flowed from my hair and splashed onto the ground around the drain. After about ten long minutes the water began to come out mostly clear, I decided to just dry my hair and leave. I wasn't sure how much longer I could stand the fumes. I wrapped towel on my hair and twisted it into a knot on top and quickly left the bathroom carefully and turned the fan on. I leaned against the wall, realizing how wet my shirt was on the top of my back. I tried to focus on breathing to gain my composure again. I felt heavy and took wobbly footsteps towards the end of the hall. I had to apologize for my sudden rudeness.

I ended up running into a wall and lost my balance, the world spun with unforgiving vigor. My legs lost their strength and I fell back. The fast movement from the fall was disorientating. I realized I never hit the floor, instead the towel that was in my hair in a loose knot was sprawled on the floor. I could hear my heavy breathing now and realized Loki had caught me. I couldn't quite think yet, I was still lost in my sensation. Once everything stopped spinning I slowly stood up on my own and meekly pulled away from his grasp.

"I'm sorry. About before... It was rude of me to pull away." He slowly lead me to the couch and helped me sit down. I wondered where this kindness had come from. I looked up to see that his face was indifferent. It was even more confusing, if he was indifferent shouldn't he have just left me alone? I touch my head in pain.

"You need sustenance."

"No, The endorphins will kick in soon and I'll have just as much energy as before. This is just from the fumes." I could see a question forming on his features until he noticed my stained hands and his gaze went to my hair and he quickly connected the dots.

"What are you? I assume these aren't normal symptoms for a mortal."

"I'm mortal, I age and I'll die just like everyone else in the world." I said clouded.

"What more?"

"Why is this an issue, you seemed happy using the word mortal as an insult earlier, can't we just go back to that?" I said a bit irritated now.

"Why do you run from it?" He was really pushing my buttons now. I not longer felt light headed and weak and stood up.

"This is really none of your business." I said with an eerie calmness that seem to just overtake my frustration. I silently make my way to my room again. I took my contacts out and went straight for my bed. I noticed my phone on the night stand and picked it up. I decided to set an alarm to wake me when it was time to make dinner. I felt my exhaustion seep over me like a heavy blanket. I let sleep take me and drifted off to a dreamless sleep.

A/N:

So I want to try and upload this as often as I can. I'm already done with chapter 10 but I'm also editing and re editing all the errors out of the other chapters. Especially the Loki-centric ones. I don't know, I'm really picky about it. I'm like really trying not to make him too out of character. Soooooo. Yeah... Oh and Happy Christmas! I don't know when I'll be at wifi next but I'll see about uploading again sometime this week. Feel free to give me constructive criticism. I know my writing is not the best but I'm trying to improve.
