Chapter 2

-HOG WARTS-
-Percy 6 years old-

Professor McGonagall watched Percy's animagus training with amusement. Before the Potters had died, and Sirius thrown in Azkaban, Percy had been introduced to Black, and had been very excited by the "weird man turning into black dog" as he had put it.

Since then, he had been trying to convince her to let him become one as well, but she said he was to young.

Nowadays, he could properly use a sword, so she couldn't say no to harmless magic.

He had been debating, at first, whether he wanted to be a dog, or, much to everyone's amusement, a chipmunk.
In the end, He settled on a wolf.
He had just transformed successfully into a black wolf cub for the first time, so he was chasing his tail in celebration.

There was no denying that percy was a special boy.

Very special indeed.

When he was 4, he had mastered 1st year level charms and transfiguration, practically. In theoretical magic, he was on O.W.L level.

Now, he was speeding towards 3rd year magic, practically, and as far as theory he had the knowledge of all the revanclaw seventh years .

Until now, Albus had given him his mothers old wand (seeing that he hadn't concurred it, it wouldn't be as powerful when he used it) for practice, but he would need his own wand soon.

Percy was gryffindor's heir, which meant that his vault, his land, a quarter of Hogwarts and his wand, were all Percy's.

So unless she was mistaken, the wand would recognize him immediately. And all he had to do was a blood identification.

He was also possibly the richest wizard ever to walk the earth; each of the Olympians had a vault heaping with gold.

Percy was the adoptive son of Zeus and Hera, the blood son of Poseidon, and the champion of half the council.

And the Olympians vaults would magically refill every time a withdrawal was made.

In addition to that, he had access to the Dumbledores vault, as well as his step fathers vault, and the Gryffindor vault.

That was basically half the gold in England. But if percy would grow to be as selfless as he was now, he would probably donate half his money to poor people.
She could remember as if it were yesterday, the day Albus had introduced them to his grandson.

-Flashback-

The staff of Hogwarts had gathered for a meeting, called moments ago by the headmaster.

When they had all arrived, Dumbledore still had not, until a few minutes later, he entered carrying a bundle of blankets in his arms. "Albus," she said quietly, as the child was sleeping "Who is that?"

When she took a good look at his face, she realize he seemed older than usual. More burdened and sad "This is Perseus. He is my daughters son."

He said silently, still staring at the small boy in his arms. "She was raped." The entire staff gasped.

They had taught Sally, raised her from when she was young.

"By who?" Professor sprout asked, looking shaken. "By Poseidon." He said quietly, growing cold with fury. He finally looked up "And he is the heir of Gryffindor." The old professor explained what was to be done, and they all nodded.

Anything for Sally, she thought to herself. Anything.

-End of Flashback-

And indeed, they were doing everything they could, but Percy was a tough piece of work.

He was driving them crazy about flying, which he had wanted to do since he got that toy broomstick when he was a year old.

Madame Hooch had caught him trying to mount one, and he ended up in the hospital wing for 2 days.

Even Severus was beginning to accept him, just as the staff were beginning to accept him.

She had never met a sweeter boy. When he was around, she wasn't the sharp, tough, icy professor Mcgonagall.

She was the soft, caring, warm Minerva Mcgonagall. Or as Percy had been calling her since he could talk "Aunt Minnie."

Five minutes later, he shifted back to his original form, grinning like mad. "That was so fun! Can I turn into another shape?! Is it possible aunt Minnie?"

She smiled "It was once heard of. Long ago, the most powerful witches and wizards of all times could do many magical things that we can't. Lady Morgana could cast a patronus so powerful, it was either solid, or a herd of animals- there are multiple versions of the story. And lord Merlin had the ability to indeed turn into multiple animals. According to legend, the founders chose their symbols according to Merlin's favorite transformations- a lion, a snake, a eagle, and a badger."

He listened with awe. Percy loved history. She could understand why Athena loved the boy so much.

He proved to be anything but his sire.
Since day one, the only resemblance to the sea god that they had found in him was his rebellious attitude and his looks.

Along with his slight issue with archery.
But a second later, his enthusiasm was slightly lessened

"I'll never be that powerful. It's a shame. If I was able to transform into another animal, it would be a eagle. My fathers animal."

He grinned at the thought of Zeus.

The past 3 years had been he best of his life.

And they were to thank his adoptive parents, siblings and the weaslys for them.

He and the twins were like brothers. Unfortunately that meant more trouble makers to join the trio (Apollo Hermes and Percy). Over those two years, his best friends had also gotten him into a sick bed 324 times (injuries included; broken limbs, fractured skulls, unconsciousness, a few days in a coma, sprains, slashes, gashes, removal of bones and so on).

But none of this bothered the young half blood. In fact, only one thing could seem to get him in a mood- the sea god.

When Percy heard that Poseidon had a hand in his mothers death, that was the day that he pestered them to begin his training.

When he had begun to wield a blade, it was clear- he was training to kill, or die trying. He was out for vengeance.

She smiled slightly at the small boy "you never know dear. With the progress you have made, you may very well be a wizard just as, if not more, powerful than Morgana and Merlin. You will rise to the height of your ancestor. And you will make him proud. You will make the house of lions remembered for eternity. You will become the greatest wizard ever to live, Percy. I am sure of it."

He looked at her with those big blue/ green eyes "Do you really think I can be that powerful aunt Minnie?" She smiled at him "Definitely. But only if you get practice." She looked at the golden wristwatch she had gotten at 17, and frowned "And sleep. It's late. You'll sleep in, and be late for the hunters. And you know how they feel about tardiness."

He nodded hastily, gave her a hug, and ran off towards his room.

Slytherin had not been the only one to make himself a chamber.

Gryffindor had made one as well, only he had done so as accommodations for his heir. Not as a resting place of a monster that was destined to help him destroy muggle borns.

Percy had been introduced to the hunters when he was 3.
At first, they had tried to stick an arrow in his...

Anyway, Phoebe had been the first to accept him. Millennia ago, she had a younger brother, and she wanted another.

Zoe was quick to follow, only because she was hoping to make a man like no other- just like her lady.

After Artemis explained who his mother was (the girls who had been in the hunt at the time remembered her), and how this boy came to be born, the hunters immediately accepted him.

Now he was considered their younger brother. The first male ever to join the hunt.

Every few months, the girls would show up, and take percy with them for a few weeks (sometimes a month or two), and go on a hunting trip across the globe.
Those weeks were Percy's favorite time of the year.

This time, his final stop would be the weaslys. And then 4 weeks later, for the first time in his life- the underworld.

-LINE BREAK-

The next morning, percy awoke very early, got dressed in hunting gear, slung his bow and quiver over his shoulder, and headed out towards the grounds.

The hunters were already assembled when he arrived, to be greeted by 17 girls hugging/ punching him.

"You're late." One voice said, causing him to grin.

"Oh, come on arty. You know you can't stay mad at me for long."

She glared at him "I swear, the more time you spend with Apollo, the dumber you get. Before we know it, you'll be spouting haikus about being 'awesome'."

Percy grinned mischievously "Well, I could get some early practice..." Instantly, 17 hands came out, and hit him upside the head.
"Don't you even think about it." Phoebe said in a scolding tone. He hugged her.
The first person in the hunt to accept him.
His older sister.

"Hey Phoebs. Missed me?" He said jokingly, causing her to roll her eyes, and Zoƫ to say "His ego is also growing with the time he and Apollo spend together. Should we tie him to a tree and use him as a practice target to lessen it?"

The hunters looked (mostly) enthusiastic, but Artemis sighed.

"As fun as that sounds, father would never allow percy to stay with us again, if we did that. And then who would do our chores?" A few nodded, while the others snickered at Percy's face.

"Excited about the underworld?" Chloe asked. He frowned. "Excited about being there, but nervous at the same time."

Zoe smiled "you can finally meet your mother! Isn't that what you've always wanted?"

He sighed "As much as I wish I could have known her, I don't. Because that would mean I didn't get to grow up like this. With all of you guys."

Artemis smiled at him, while phoebe and Zoe exchanged a mischievous look.

"Are you going soft on us Percy?" Zoe started, and phoebe continued. "Because you know what will happen then. Survival week." He paled to the color of bed sheets, causing the two to giggle at their success.

Artemis, very sadly, decided it was time to break it up. "Alright girls, and Percy." She called. "That's enough. Lets have breakfast, and then get along with our hunt. We only have 3 weeks to cross the globe before returning to Briton. So lets move out."

-LINE BREAK-
-Olympus-

Hera sat on her throne, smiling at the image of her son in his hunting gear.
She would never stop enjoying the sound of that.
Her son.

Sure, she had children, but immortals grew much to fast for her liking. She had always wished she could have a child who remained helpless for enough time for her to enjoy caring for him, like all the mortal women.

She felt a presence come up from behind her.

It was Poseidon. Her cursed brother.

"What do you want?" She spat at him.

"Who was the boy?" He asked.

"My champion." She stated, and turned to leave, only to find him blocking her path.

"Not so fast. Since when do you favor demigods?" She glared at him. "What is it to you brother? Going to rape me like you did to that poor girl?"

To her horror, he actually seemed to consider it. "It may not be that bad an idea, if you don't cooperate. Since when do you favor half bloods?"

He grabbed her wrist in his very strong grip, and she suddenly understood why Sally, who was the strongest mortal she had ever met, had not been able to fight back. She tried to release her arm, but he pushed her to the wall.

"You know," he whispered, "it has been millennia since I had a godly child. I may be rusty, but I am willing to try. If you don't cooperate." He kept putting emphasis on those words.

She prayed that someone else would arrive, and thankfully, her prayers were answered.

Shadows gathered in the room, and her brother appeared there.

Hades saw the position his brother had her in, and sent a blast of energy at him, pinning him to the floor.

"What were you doing, Poseidon?" He growled, his hand on his sword.

The sea god laughed. "I'm enjoying myself. What about you?"

Hades spat at him. "Here I thought you were the smart brother. The one who showed people respect. Stay away from her. Stay away from every female I know, or I swear on the Styx, if you rape, or attempt to do so again, I will kill you."

Poseidon hissed at him, but disappeared in an ocean breeze.

The queen of the gods sighed in relief, as her brother examined her wrist.
"It's broken. I'll get Zeus and Apollo here immediately. What did he want from you?"

"I was watching an image of Percy, and he showed up from behind me, and got a glimpse of him, and wanted me to tell him who it is."

The Lord of the dead caught his breath. If Poseidon knew about Percy, the boy was as good as dead.

"Did you tell him?!" He asked. "Hera, what did you tell him?"

She took a shuddering breath.

"I told him he is my champion, and then I tried to leave, and he grabbed me, and asked since when I favor demigods. And when I didn't answer..., he..." She gulped. "He threatened me."

He nodded.

"Head straight to Artemis. Tell her what happened. Make sure Percy is alright. I'll get Apollo and Zeus. Whatever you do, don't stay here alone. We can't know what to expect from him anymore."

She nodded and flashed out.

-LINE BREAK-
-The Hunters Camp, Outskirts of the Forbidden Forest-

They were eating breakfast, laughing and talking with their brother, when a flash of golden light appeared outside Artemis' tent.
They averted their eyes, and when the light faded, they were shocked to see the queen of the gods herself.

Of course surprise didn't restrain Percy.

He jumped up, and ran to hug her, his small arms tight around her waist.

She smiled slightly, but she turned serious. "Artemis." She said. "I need to speak with you. It's urgent. Percy, I'll be back in a minute, alright sweetie?"

He pouted, as she crouched so she was at eye level with him. "Listen to me Percy; this is beyond you. This is a matter in the hands of the gods. Whatever happens, whatever you may hear or think, promise me; you will stay out of it."

He nodded. "I promise. Don't leave without saying goodbye!" She smiled, "promise." She stood to her full height. "Artemis, after you."

The second to two goddess went into the tent, 2 more flashes of light appeared, and shadows began to grow.

Hades was here.

Zeus and Apollo by his side.

They bowed, as Percy frowned.

"Why are so many gods here?!" He asked no one in particular.

Apollo looked around, ignoring his brother. "Where's Hera?" He asked, as Zoe gestured in the direction of the tent, so the three gods entered quickly, not making a sound, as Percy got frustrated, and stomped into the woods.

-LINE BREAK-

Apollo felt bad about ignoring his brother.

They were best friends.

But this was far beyond him. He didn't need to know this.

He had more hate inside him than any 6 year old should. He didn't need another reason to hate Poseidon.

They entered the tent to find Artemis calming a shaken Hera down.

Zeus rushed to her side, as he and hades waited. Zeus looked his wife up and down, before growling at Apollo. "Heal her." He said.

For once, he knew better than to make a silly comment.

This was no laughing matter.

He knelt at his step mothers side, and examined her wrist.

"Uncle P has some strong grip." He said. "Your wrist is missing a chunk in the middle that shattered, and he broke a few metacarpals. If you were mortal, you would be having surgery. But lucky for you I'm here."

He summoned some bandages nectar and ambrosia, gave her a piece, before taking the bandages and soaking them in the nectar.

He then summoned a pale orange paste, which he spread on the bandages, then wrapped them around her hand. He muttered a hymn, and then declared.

"It should be fine in a few hours. Just keep the bandages on until the meeting." She frowned "What meeting?"

He frowned at his father. "Poseidon just tried to rape the queen of the gods, and you plan on keeping it quiet?! He raped Sally, he killed her, left percy alone, had another child, and now he tried to rape another woman! How many times does this have to happen before he is stopped?!"

Artemis looked at her younger brother in shock.
He normally would never suggest to give punishment on a god for mistreating a woman.

But then again, Percy hadn't existed before.
Her brothers were best friends.

Everyone knew it.

Percy adored Apollo. And Apollo adored him back.

Whenever Percy was on Olympus the two were inseparable.

Percy often joined Apollo in the chariot, as he shot moving targets from the sky as practice. And Apollo often joined his brother at Hogwarts, where he helped Madame Pomfrey in his free time (mostly healing Percy).

It was Percy who made him a better person, which was one of the many reasons Artemis loved him so much.

Zeus nodded. "We will have a meeting. Tonight. I'll tell Hermes to summon them later. Brother, you are attending. We will discuss the matter of my son's visit to your realm. Artemis, Apollo, the two of you are in charge of keeping Percy occupied. Just in case." Artemis wanted to protest, but her father glared, so she nodded.

Zeus stood to leave. "Are you coming my dear?" He asked his wife, and she shook her head.

"I promised percy I wouldn't leave without saying goodbye." He nodded. "I am afraid I cannot stay. Dionysus was causing trouble again. Tell our son I say hello." She smiled as he flashed away.

Apollo sprinted out of the tent and into the woods. "Where are you going?!" Artemis called after him.

Not looking back he yelled "To find Percy!"

-LINE BREAK-

Finding Percy when he was upset had never been a problem before. All they would have to do was listen for the twang of a bow.

But the forest was silent.
Apollo was now very deep in the woods. The sun was no longer visible from above. He could see spider webs around him.

Apollo would never admit it, but this place freaked him out. He couldn't feel the sun under the tall trees.
It scared him.

Finally, he heard Percy's voice. "...sure? You never mention Saturn. Is that bad?"

Another voice was heard. "Mars and Saturn have not come so close in a thousand years. While Mars dims, Saturn grows bright."

Apollo froze in his place.
Mars was Ares.

He was always dim. That was just the way he was.

But Saturn was... Him... Could that mean? Had he betrayed them? Was he really rising?

He shuddered at the thought.
The matter would have to be brought up in the meeting later.

"Come out Apollo. I can hear you."

Percy called, as Apollo had been nearing them.
The sun god groaned.

"Why is it I can never startle you?" He whined, and his little brother smirked.

"Because, you make more noise than a drunk Dionysus. And you know that if you ever managed to surprise me, you would be stuck in the infirmary for a week."

Apollo mock glared. "Big head." He grumbled, and Percy's grin widened. "Blame yourself. According to Arty you're a bad influence on me. She says that you're to arrogant, and need to stop rubbing off on me."

Apollo glared at the invisible sky.

"For some reason anything she says you seem to believe to be holy."

Percy laughed, before turning back to the centaur.

"I'll see you in a few months, Mangorian." The centaur nodded.

"It is always my pleasure to be in the presence of a half blood rather than a foolish wizard." Percy scowled as the centaur bowed to Apollo and galloped away.
"And now I remember why I never liked centaurs." Apollo said, frowning in the direction of the horse man.

But he was snapped back to reality when percy bow was pointed at his face.
