The next day finally came.

Amy woke up with the bright sun in her eyes.

"Ahh, what a beautiful day!" she said while stretching and rubbing her eyes. It was a nice morning, so Amy decided to go sit outside and enjoy the sun. She jumped in her wheelchair and went out the door.

"Need some help?"

Amy jumped when she heard the voice. She turned her head to see Sonic holding the handles on her wheelchair.

"S-sure..."

Sonic pushed Amy into the elevator.

Amy's POV

After we got in the elevator, it was a VERY weird experience for me. Sonic was visiting the hospital?! To see me?! That's crazy! But there's something kind of weird and not right about this.

"S-sonic...?" I asked. I wanted to see what was up.

"Yeah?" he answered. When he smiled at me, I kind of had butterflies in my stomach.

"W-why did you come to see me..?" I said. Ugh! Why can't I talk right?!

"What do you mean?" he answered. "We're friends, right?"

"Yes..." It felt like we were in the elevator for hours.

"Then that's why! We're friends and I came to visit you!" To me, it sounded like Sonic was lying. After he said that, the elevator finally opened. Sonic pushed me outside and sat on the bench while i was sitting in my wheelchair. It really was a beautiful day. The sun was shining, the birds were singing, and a lot of people were outside. Sonic started whistling to some songs that were familiar to me.

"C'mon, Amy! You can whistle too, right? Whistle a song for me!" Sonic said in a cheery voice.

"Well, okay." I started whistling to 'It Doesn't Matter'. After a while, Sonic started singing to it.

"It doesn't matter, now what happens. I will never give up the fight! Long as the voice inside me tells me to run and fight, it doesn't matter who is wrong and who is right!" Sonic was actually a really good singer!

"Wow, you're pretty good!" I told Sonic.

"Thanks! I'm not that good, though!" he answered. He started blushing and scratched the back of his ear as he looked away from me. I wonder why he did that though. We sat there in silence for about 10 minutes, so I decided to break the ice.

"Sonic...were you too busy to visit me earlier?"

I saw Sonic immediately pause after I spoke those words. He flickered his eyes right at me and looked at me like I had a bug on my face.

"Uh..." Then he started to scratch the back of his head. "Not really..." He looked really worried that I was going to get upset.

"Don't worry. I'm not mad." I said that not because I wanted to, but so Sonic would not be acting like a frightened person around me.

"Y-you're not?" He says, sounding a little less frightened than before. That seemed to have calmed him down.

"Yes...it's fine, Sonic, I mean it." I looked at him with a small smile, trying to actually look like I was telling him, and also myself, the truth.

"Oh, well okay!" Sonic cheered. "Oh no, I have to go!"

For some reason, I felt kind of upset. "Why?"

"Because I promised Tails today that I'd do something for him." Sonic explained. "I'm sorry, Amy. Bye!" Then the blue hedgehog zoomed away.

"Well there goes another day of someone leaving me." I sighed as I rolled myself back inside the hospital.

Later that day...

Jet was sneaking out the door this time. He couldn't stand the way Wave was pushing him to do stuff lately.

Jet was tiptoeing to the door when it flew open and knocked him on the floor.

"BOSS! LOOK WHAT I FOUND!" said the gray idiot, Storm.

"What do you WAAAANT?" Jet groaned. He was almost out that time, and Storm had to ruin it.

"I found fo-"

"Don't care." Jet said, ignoring Storm. Then he sped out the door when Wave wasn't in the room.

Jet was finally making his way to the hospital to see Amy. He felt really excited. It was really odd for him though. Why was he so excited? He used to hate her so much. Every time they used to see each other, they would break into a pointless fight. They would be bickering with each other every second of the day! But now they're friends. Jet feels like he's her closest friend. Or at least he hopes that he is. He doesn't want to mess anything up with her.

Then he kept making his way to the hospital.

"I wonder if anyone else visited Amy today..." Jet thought. He wanted to get there faster, so he started speed walking. Jet really didn't know why he was in a rush, but decided to rush anyways. 3 minutes later he made it to the hospital.

The green hawk made his way up to the counter. Then he was about to speak, but the lady in front interrupted him.

"Don't worry, I already know who you are!" The lady exclaimed, smiling at him. Then he smiled back.

"Thanks!"

Jet's POV

I started to walk to the elevator. I really do wonder if Amy's feeling any better. Also, I wonder if that hedgehog visited yet. Wait, why do I care if he visited or not? Does it really matter?

In the elevator, there was a lady with her two kids. One of the kids was playing on his phone. The other was throwing a ball around the place. The ball was soaring across the elevator, bouncing hard off the walls. The kid was laughing like crazy! After I got annoyed and looked away, the ball finally flew into and bounced off the side of my face. The worst part was that the kid was laughing hysterically now. I really wanted to hit the kid in the face, but I don't want his mom beating the crap out of me.

After the incident, I was finally walking to Amy's room. When I peeked inside her room, she looked sort of upset. I also heard her saying things.

"Why did he leave? Why do I care?" she said in an upset tone. "What if he's not coming? Does he want to? Was he only being nice?"
