Chapter 4: Hole In One
Galen tossed and turned in his bed, murmuring in his sleep as two voices disturbed him in his slumber. He and the Possible family were on a boat, heading to Scotland for a Spring Vacation. Everything was going well, except for his dreams.
Kim walked back to her room from the kitchen until she noticed Galen moaning. "Galen?" she asked. She then turned towards where Galen's room was.
Galen Marek was hearing voices, both good and evil. One of the voices was that cold and calculating one he heard earlier in the medical room and the other one was a caring and fearful voice.
"I sense someone far more powerful nearby. Where is your Master?" The cold voice ordered, sending shivers down his spine.
"The Dark Side has clouded your mind." The voice explained in choking words that almost made Galen sob. "You killed my Master years ago."
"Then you shall share his fate." The dark voice exclaimed before he paused and in a surprised tone he stated "A son."
"Run!" The other voice yelled before hearing a groan and something being crushed.
Galen immediately shot up from his bed, panting heavily and gleaming with sweat. He looked at the clock as it read 3:24 AM. Galen controlled his breathing and laid back on his bed, trying to rest but he knew he would not sleep from that nightmare.
"It's just a dream." Galen said reassuringly to himself tiredly. "Just a dream."
Kim looked over to Galen from the doorway, seeming to be surprised. As Galen walked over to his mirror, he took a deep breath. "You can come in now." He told Kim, knowing she was there.
Kim flipped on the lights as she walked in. "Was this about your parents?" she asked.
Galen nodded as he started to head towards the sink, washing his face. "Yes," he replied. "A memory I had, right before they died."
Kim sighed and walked over towards her new friend. "Galen, I know that you're new here, and can probably do things alone, but you know, we're here to help you, no matter what."
Galen then looked back to Kim and smiled. Kim noticed this and smiled back, both teens getting back to their beds for some rest. After all, they all knew that once they reached Scotland, things wouldn't be easy. They may be on vacation, but trouble lurks everywhere now.
In Scotland, the Cruise Ship set sail at the harbor. Everyone got off, Galen with the Possible Family. A crane then lifted their van off from the boat and onto the ground safely.
James Possible then took out his Car Keys. "Come on, everyone," he told the rest of the Possible Family. "Castle Loch doesn't wait for anybody."
The Possible Family, plus Galen, all entered the van. As soon as everyone was strapped in, James Possible drove off.
As they were riding, Galen looked over to Kim and smiled. "Hey," he said, causing Kim to look over to him. "Thank you for inviting me on your Spring Vacation." Galen said. "I don't know how to thank you for this honor."
"No big," Kim said, flapping her hand aside. "A little Hawaiian girl once told me that everyone is one large family, and you, Galen, are part of this family."
Galen smirked. "That sounds like a smart girl." He mused.
"She saved my life, and I could never be more thankful." Kim added on.
Soon, James Possible drove the van up to a castle, where a young girl was waiting for them. She wore a pink shirt with green sleeves underneath, a kilt and brown shoes.
Everyone soon got out as the girl started to welcome the Possible Family. "Are you the Possibles?" she asked in a Scottish accent.
Kim got out and adjusted herself before walking up to the girl and smiling. "All present and accounted for," she replied. Galen then walked out before Kim and the girl looked to him. "Galen included."
The girl then smiled. "Welcome," she said warmly. "I am Shannon Blake, head of Blake Clan and owner of the Scotland Highland Games." Shannon then said. She then looked towards the Possible Family and Galen Marek. "It is especially an honor to have the family of the great Kim Possible and her family and friend stay with us." Shannon added on.
Galen then stepped up. "Hello," he said to Shannon. "I am Galen Marek, with the Possible Family." He introduced himself. He then looked around. "I have heard many great things about Blake Castle."
"Oh, there was quite a thriller here a while ago," Shannon then said. "However, my cousin and a few of her friends were able to take care of it."
"We're definitely excited to see the Loch Ness Monster!" Jim then said.
"Yeah," Tim added on. "I wanna see if the rumors really are true!"
Ann chuckled as she patted Jim and Tim on the heads. "Now, now, boys," she said calmly. "We're here to relax, not find monsters." Ann told them. "The last time Kimmy visited Nana, Drakken was there, and we don't want any villains to ruin our vacation."
"Aw, Mom!" the Tweebs both said in unison.
Kim and Galen both chuckled, as well as Shannon. "Come on," she said, guiding them into the Castle. "I'll show you all to your rooms."
As they were heading to the castle, Shannon heard a small "clunk" sound. Her eyes widened before she looked to the Possible Family and Galen. "Please, go on in," she urged them. "I'll join you in a few."
Galen raised an eyebrow as Shannon started to run off. Making sure no one would see him, he dashed off to the side.
Shannon walked over to the source of the sound and looked to the ground. Galen watched from the shadows as he saw Shannon pick up a golf ball. She then opened it up, showing a small parchment. "'You may think you're safe, but I shall make you pay for making the biggest mistake of your life.'" Shannon read. She then gulped before running inside.
Galen placed his hand to his chin with confusion. He then walked out of the shadows and started to make his way towards Shannon. "What's the matter?" he asked.
Shannon gasped and looked to the side. "Oh, Galen," she said with relief. "It's only you."
"You seem to be under a lot of stress," Galen stated. "Is something wrong here?"
Shannon shook her head. "No, nothing at all." She replied. "I just… have a lot on my mind right now, that's all."
Galen nodded and said, "Okay, I understand." However, since he had the Force, he could sense both her lies and her anxiety, both growing. However, since he couldn't bring her secrets out into the open, he just had to let it all slide. The two then walked back into the Castle.
At the entrance of the Castle, Kim was waiting for them. "Where were you?" Kim asked curiously.
"Galen was just helping me retrieve my wallet," Shannon said, showing a wallet in her hands. She then winked to Galen, letting him know that she was covering up for his absence. "It was no big deal."
Kim raised an eyebrow before looking to Galen for some confirmation. Galen smiled, shrugging soon afterwards. "Yeah, it's true." He simply replied.
"Well… okay, then." Kim said, not feeling to sure about what was going on.
Galen then cleared his throat and looked to Shannon. "What available sports do you have here at Blake Castle?" he asked. Kim and Shannon both raised their eyebrows before Galen let out a sigh. "I'm starting to feel the need for a good workout all of a sudden." Galen explained, clearing away Shannon's unsure and confused look on both Kim and Shannon's faces.
"Of course," Shannon said, now feeling more clear about what Galen was saying. "I know that Americans prefer different sports than caber-tossing or golf, but we also have some fencing, if you're interested." Shannon said, sending a grin towards Galen.
Galen just smirked. "I'm an excellent swordsman, but I've always wanted to try out golf." Galen stated.
Kim chuckled at this. "Mind if I join you?" she asked.
Galen looked to Kim and shook his head. "No, not at all." He replied. "But I won't go easy on you."
"We'll see." Kim mused.
All Galen could do at this point was chuckle as they both headed off to the field.
Kim then smiled to Shannon, who just sent a forced smile back. Kim raised an eyebrow in suspicion as Shannon walked off. As she was walking away, Kim then noticed Shannon drop what appeared to be a golf ball. Kim's eyes widened at this before Shannon picked it up.
"Duff Killigan?" Kim asked. Shrugging it off, she ran after Galen, who was now waiting for her in the field outside.
Galen had already gotten into a fencing uniform, and was indeed waiting outside for Kim. He twirled around his saber, starting to feel how different it was to a lightsaber. Still, he couldn't get the fact that Shannon was hiding something off of his mind.
Just then, Kim arrived. She had a white fencing suit, and a sword in her hand as well. She smiled to Galen, in which he smiled back. "Are you ready?" Kim asked. "After all, I have used swords before, so be careful."
"I'm as ready and careful as I'll ever be, Kimberly." Galen replied back, getting into a ready position as he watched Kim first let her hair down. As soon as she had her hair down, she placed a black cloth around her head for extra protection, and then finally, she placed her helmet on. "Remember, don't hold back." Galen then told Kim. Kim nodded, and the two stared each other down.
At that moment, Galen sent a lunge towards Kim. Kim was caught by surprise by this attack, swinging it away before Galen performed another jab. Kim kept swinging her sword around in defense, giving Galen the chance to drive her back before Kim started to go on offense, stabbing at Galen's head. The Force-User, however, parried the attack and then performed another slash at Kim, who retaliated with a downwards slash while Galen slashed her away, neither one harmed. Kim sent a straight jab at Galen, who parried off the attack once again before he swung at her. Kim ducked from the attack and swung her blade at him, which he blocked as well.
The two started to circle around each other, Kim keeping her blade ready as Galen stood in his Makashi stance, but trying not to reveal his identity at the same time.
Kim then sent a jab towards Galen, which he parried off before Kim slashed at him. Galen just chuckled and leapt back, placing his sword behind his back and then aiming it at the Girl Who Could Do Anything. Kim backed away, trying to avoid getting hit before knocking the blade away and then slashing low, which Galen did as well. The two clashed until they locked their blades high, right above Kim's face. Kim broke off and then slashed at Galen, sending him back as she aimed her sword towards him. Galen stood calm before he eventually knocked his blade against Kim's guard, knocking the hilt into her face.
"Not bad, not bad at all." Galen then complimented.
Kim smirked and the two clashed low once again. Galen parried off the attacks before slashing at Kim. Kim broke off and then slashed at Galen, who had just sidestepped away. The two then sent lunges at each other, but then stopped, noticing that their blades were close to each other's chests.
Galen and Kim both chuckled, pulling their swords away from each other. They then removed their helmets and smiled to each other, shaking hands soon afterwards. "I must admit, you're really good." Kim stated. "I mean, sure, you were able to split a sword in half at school, but being able to go up against me, that's really impressive."
Galen laughed. "You know, you're not so bad yourself." He complimented.
Kim blushed at this, a feeling starting to grow inside of her. Galen sent another smile back, getting the same emotion. There was a moment of silence before Kim cleared her throat. "O-okay," she stuttered. "Let's… get inside and see what else there is to do." She suggested.
"Y-yeah," Galen stated, stuttering as well. "Let's do that."
With that, the two walked off back to the Castle as the sun started to set.
Inside, at dinner, everyone was having some haggis and steak. Shannon looked to everyone with a smile on her face. "Well, everyone, I hope that you're all enjoying your stay." Shannon said with happiness.
Jim and Tim both struggled to get the wishbone of the chicken before Galen walked over, breaking the bone and then twirling it around on his finger. "We're enjoying ourselves, alright," Galen stated, flipping the wishbone into the air as if it were a coin. Jim and Tim both struggled to get it.
Kim then leapt over the table and grabbed it, wiggling it in the Tweebs' faces. Galen rolled his eyes while Kim looked over to her father. "Do you have a history with Shannon?" she asked. James looked to Kim as she shrugged. "I mean, when you were planning the vacation, you kept talking about some 'Ms. Blake'."
"Oh, that," James then said. "You see, children, Shannon used to work with me at the lab before Jim and Tim came along."
"Aye," Shannon then said in a shy tone. "I was a great programmer, being able to lay out digital dimensions, from working in Scotland to working with your father." Shannon explained further on. "I was also on the verge of inventing a machine with the ability to bring a digital dimension into the real world. It was called the Dimensional Area Generator."
"Sounds interesting." Ann then said. She finished up her haggis before looking to Shannon again. "What made you stop?"
Shannon sighed. "Well, there were too many competitors wanting my designs, so eventually, I had to shut down my operation, forcing all of the other programmers, engineers and competing rivals lose interest." Shannon explained. "I doubt that it's worth anything to anyone now."
Galen and Kim both looked to Shannon with suspicion. They both saw the golf ball she had with her, and how much she was trying to hide it away. Just what is she hiding? Both Galen Marek and Kim Possible asked themselves mentally.
Shannon then blushed. "I must be boring you right now," she said shyly. "I'm sorry."
"No big," Kim said, waving her hand aside. "We understand about skeletons in the closet."
Galen, however, wasn't too sure. He then spoke up. "I bet that Digital Dimensions would signify an evolution for science." He said. "Please tell me, what kind of Digital Dimensions had you programmed?" Galen then asked.
"Oh, not much," Shannon said, crossing her legs and placing her hands behind her back. "Just nature stuff, I used to be a biologist, after all."
Galen nodded. "Interesting." He said. "Very interesting."
Later that night, everyone had already unpacked. Kim was in a room next to Galen's, and soon took out her Kimmunicator. "Hey, Wade." Kim greeted Wade Load.
Wade smiled to Kim. "What's up, Kim?" Wade asked. "You and Galen enjoying your vacation?" he asked.
Kim smiled and rolled her eyes. "Oh, you know, so and so," she said before clearing up her throat. "Um, Wade, do you think that you can pull up Ron?"
Wade nodded. "I'm on it." He replied, starting to type away at his computer.
Kim smiled, as she was starting to enjoy her vacation with Galen for the first time. On the Kimmunicator, Ron's face appeared. "Hey there, KP," Ron said. "You and Galen having a good time?"
"Yeah, we–" Kim started out, but then stopped after noticing that Ron was typing at his computer while talking to her. "Wait, are you doing homework or something?"
"What? What?" he asked. He then looked back to Kim and chuckled. "Oh, no. I'm playing Everlot," he explained. "The Programmers fixed that glitch that trapped everyone inside, and it's an awesome game now!" Ron exclaimed. "Malcolm's currently a new player, since he gave up on being the Wraith Master, and Zita's ruling at this game!"
Zita Flores, the Hispanic girl Ron fell for a while back, appeared on the screen. "Hey there, Kim!" she greeted the Girl Who Would Do Anything. "What's going on?"
"Nothing much, Zita," Kim replied. She then held up some tickets in her hands. "And thanks for these free movie tickets"
"Ah, mi Amiga, es no problema!" Zita exclaimed. "After all, you and Ron helped to fix it."
"No big," Kim replied. "We were just rookies, good luck, nothing more, nothing less."
"You know, for some reason, Galen always says that there's no such a thing as luck." He stated.
"I wonder why." Zita then wondered. "But he sure does rock at gym and martial arts."
"There's a Martial Arts Club at Middleton High?" Kim asked.
Zita shook her head. "No, I meant after Galen managed to take on the Bonnie imposter without even breaking a sweat." Zita explained. "You have to admit, that was awesome! One hell of a show!"
Kim rolled her eyes as she thought of Galen. "So, guys, is Everlot doing well for you now?" she asked.
"Better than ever now!" Zita exclaimed with excitement.
Rufus then appeared on the screen. "Uh-huh, yeah," Rufus squeaked.
"And Rufus is still rocking it as the Tunnel Master!" Ron exclaimed. He then looked over towards his computer screen. "Hey, a chest!" he yelled out loud.
Rufus happily nodded before pressing a button at the separate computer he was at, causing Ron to gasp. "Hey, that chest was mine!" Ron complained.
Kim chuckled at this, enjoying the sight. All of a sudden, a knocking on the door was heard. "Come in!" Kim yelled.
Galen then entered the room. "Hey, Kim," he said.
"Hi there, Gal." Kim replied back.
"Galen! Hey, what's up?" Ron's voice then said. "Enjoying Scotland and being with the Possibles for the first time?"
"I'm good, Ron." Galen said with a chuckle. "How are you?" Galen then asked in a friendly voice.
"Going well." Ron replied. "I'm good, all good. Even though I couldn't come because I was sick the day you left, I'm feeling all better now, and kicking butt on Everlot back home!"
Galen nodded before he then looked over to Kim. "Hey, Kim, just if anyone's wondering, I'll be outside, playing on the golf course." Galen told his friend. "I never got the chance to try out the sport before, so I wanted to try and give it a go."
Kim nodded. "Okay," she replied back. "Have a good time, and be safe."
Galen nodded and started to head outside.
A blush soon emerged on Kim's face before hearing Ron clear his throat. "So, how are you feeling about Galen?" Ron asked.
"We can see that look in your eyes, so there has to be a chance that you'll make the move soon." Zita chimed in teasingly.
"Guys, we're just… friends… nothing else." Kim enunciated.
Outside, Galen set up his golf ball at the first course. He looked to his bag and then chose one of the golf clubs, weighing it on his hand. Feeling satisfied, Galen twirled it around and set it next to the golf ball.
"Wind speed, 40 mph southeast." Galen started to say to himself before looking to feel the wind. He then pulled back his golf club and took a deep breath before swinging it, letting the ball fly into the air. It soon soared, and with that one swing, it fell right into the hole.
Galen smiled and then moved onto the next hole. There, he noticed that the second flag was placed in the middle of a small island in the middle of a pond.
From a distance away, a golf cart drove towards the castle. Someone got off and looked to a window where Kim was, still talking with her friends. Then, he looked towards a window where Shannon was brushing her hair. Finally, he looked at the field, where Galen putted his ball. It flew into the air, and nearly landed into the water, but skidded off of the edge of the small island and into the hole.
"This laddie is very impressive." The man said with a smirk appearing on his face.
Galen made his way towards the other holes, getting a hole in one on every course until he finally made it to the Eighteenth Hole. It was farther away this time, and very close to a sandpit. Galen took another deep breath, and putted his ball. It flew in the air again, but flew very low. It landed on the sand, seeming to stop, but it then started to roll downhill, rolling right until the ball fell into the hole.
Galen then chuckled as he ran towards the hole. He soon picked up the ball from the hole and flipped it into the air. As he walked back, he noticed the golf cart. "Strange, I didn't know that we were having more visitors." Galen wondered to himself as he placed his hand to his chin.
Galen then walked back to his set of golf clubs and balls, placing both of the ones he used back in the bag. "Well, that's enough for tonight," Galen said to himself, throwing the bag over his shoulder and then placing ot onto his body. As he was walking back, Galen could sense someone coming. Slowly, he pulled out a golf club, making sure that not a sound was heard.
The man behind him then took out a golf club of his own, as well as a golf ball. As he placed the golf ball on the ground, he started to swing back the club. He chuckled before taking a deep breath. "Fore." He whispered. With that, the golf ball started to beep and light up as it was soon thrown towards Galen.
Galen let out his golf club and then swung at the ball, letting it fly into the air before it suddenly exploded. Galen looked up in surprise while the man stood in shock.
"I should have known that things were out of the ordinary." Galen remarked, placing the golf club over his shoulder.
The man then stepped out of the shadows, revealing himself to be Scottish. He had brown hair with a green hat on it, and all over his body were green, red and white. A golf bag hung over his back while he wore a kilt, knee-socks and black shoes. He snapped out of his shock and then looked back to Galen. "Aye, you were just lucky, lassie!" the man retorted, getting out some more balls.
"I don't believe in luck." Galen quipped.
"Well, you'd better!" the Scottish man exclaimed, setting down every one of his balls and then pulling back on his golf club. "Fore!" he yelled, putting the ball again.
Galen placed his golf club back on the ground, swinging at the ball, letting it explode into the air before another ball was headed his way. Like the first two, he swung them aside and into the air, explosions starting to go off and lights flashing in the sky.
Inside of the Castle, Kim continued to talk with her friends, as Monique had just joined in on the conversation. "I think you've got that feeling, girl!" Monique teased.
"Just. Friends." Kim said slowly again. "We're just–"
BOOM!
Kim jumped as soon as she heard this sound. She gasped and looked outside, the Kimmunicator also facing the window. "Fireworks?" Kim wondered to herself.
Ron, Monique and Zita all looked in confusion. Just then, Ron and Monique all looked down. "KP! Down on the ground!" Ron exclaimed.
Kim then looked to the ground, seeing Galen knock aside exploding golf balls heading towards him. Kim then looked over to see the Scottish Man putting the balls at him. She gasped and then growled. "Duff Killigan! I knew it!" she exclaimed. Kim started to run towards her suitcase, pulling out her Mission Outfit and then running back into her room.
Galen continued to knock aside all of the golf balls, causing Duff to growl and increase his efforts, pulling out more explosive golf balls. "Soon, laddie, you'll suddenly feel exhausted, and won't be able to put up a fight no more!" Duff exclaimed, putting two more balls. Like all of the rest of the golf balls, they immediately got knocked to the side and exploded into the air.
However, one of the explosions was too close to Galen, and sent him to the ground, the golf club getting knocked out of his hands. Galen got up, but sensed another attack coming.
At that moment, Kim ran out and leapt into the air, dropkicking at Duff Killigan and sending him back.
"Kim Possible!" Duff exclaimed in surprise.
Kim panted as she kicked aside the golf balls. "Leave him alone, Duff! Galen's got nothing to do with you!" she demanded.
Galen looked up and smiled. "Hey, thanks." He said.
Kim looked back and smiled, extending her hand and helping Galen get back up on his feet. "You'd better get to safety," Kim warned him. Kim soon got into a fighting stance as she picked up the fallen golf club Galen dropped. "Duff's one dangerous villain."
"So I see." Galen then said. He saluted to Kim and then ran back to the castle as Duff got back up.
"Your friend there's wise to run away from the fight, Possible!" Duff exclaimed. He then cackled before taking out a second golf club. "But I wonder if you're either as wise or as foolish as him." Killigan remarked. With that, he charged at Kim, starting to swing his golf clubs down at her.
Kim blocked the two clubs with the golf club she had before swinging back, knocking Duff Killigan back as well. She then threw the golf club into the air and caught it in a reverse-grip, imitating the way she and Ron had seen Starkiller fight before. After doing this, Kim charged at Duff, swinging wildly at the evil golf player.
Duff laughed even more. "What kind of a grip is that?" he joked. "It's impossible to wield any kind of weapon when you reverse the way you hold it!"
"Not for some people!" Kim yelled out, attacking Duff.
Duff Killigan blocked the backhand attack from Kim, but failed to see her punch at his chest. Kim then used the mock version of the reverse-grip to clash with Duff once again, both clubs now locked together. Kim struggled to gain momentum over Killigan, but since she was new to the use of reverse-grip, she was getting pushed back until eventually, the golf club got knocked out of her hands, leaving her defenseless.
"I told you so!" Duff teased, taking out some golf balls. He then set one down and swung it. "Fore!" he hammed up, swinging the golf ball.
"Take five!" a voice then said.
Both Kim and Duff Killigan looked to the side as Starkiller emerged, unsheathing a blue lightsaber in his Reverse Shien grip and then landing on the ground, slashing apart the golf ball.
"Who are you?!" Duff Killigan exclaimed in surprise as Starkiller started to get back up on his feet.
"Starkiller!" Kim then yelled out as she showed both surprise and happiness on her face. "What are you doing here?!"
Starkiller turned his head back to face Kim, sending a grin towards her. "I was in the neighborhood, and when I heard the noise, I thought that id come and help." The Jedi stated.
"Ah, the new hero that Drakken and Dementor never stop rambling about." Duff remarked. He chuckled as he took out more golf balls. "They say that you're unbeatable, but maybe I can prove them wrong!" Duff then yelled, putting more golf balls towards the two.
Starkiller unsheathed his lightsaber again and started to slice through the balls while Kim used her cheerleading moves to dodge all of the explosive balls. Three more headed towards both Starkiller and Kim, but Starkiller held out his hand, catching the balls with the Force. He then flicked his wrist and sent the balls back towards Killigan, causing him to run off to the side.
As Killigan got out of the way of the bombs, Starkiller ran towards him, swinging his lightsaber at him. Duff raised his golf club in defense, but the blade cut right through the metal, leaving Duff in shock. He started to back away, but Kim stood behind him.
"Aye, ya may have gotten the best of me, lassies, but I'll be back!" Duff Killigan exclaimed, running off.
Starkiller started to shoot Lightning at Duff, but he managed to evade the Lightning before getting into the cart and driving off.
Kim raised an eyebrow. "That was strange," she stated.
"I'll say." Starkiller remarked, placing his hand to his chin.
Kim then looked over to Starkiller. "It's good that you came when you did," she said gratefully. "Strange things have been going on here, and I could use your help to try and solve whatever mystery may be going on."
Starkiller nodded. "Galen Marek called me about the situation, and I'm here to help." Starkiller said before looking to the Castle. "So, who are our suspects so far?"
Kim narrowed her eyes towards the window where Shannon Blake's room was. "I have a feeling that Shannon isn't telling the whole truth here." She stated. "Maybe we should start with her."
"Good call." Starkiller said. The two then ran off towards the Castle before Starkiller stopped her. "Just to ask, why is Killigan so obsessed with golf?"
Kim just shrugged. "It's just his talent." She stated. "I'm not so sure about him myself, so that's all I've got."
Galen nodded and the two ran into the Castle, now trying to find some answers.
At Duff Killigan's Island, Duff placed down his burnt and singed golf clubs and then went into his closet to get some new ones, as well as some more golf balls. "No one ever told me that the Starkiller lassie would be this powerful." He mused to himself. "Managing to break my clubs and slice me balls was a wee bit impressive, but how can I go up against him next time?"
"Trying to kill Starkiller, huh?" a voice from the shadows then asked.
Duff threw one of his explosive golf balls to the shadows, but it was then shot thrice before it exploded. "Who be goin' there?" Killigan demanded as he narrowed his eyes.
"Who I am isn't important right now," the voice said before throwing out a metal briefcase. "But my message is." He finished up. "These weapons will help you to take down Starkiller. They have metal resistant to the lightsabers he uses, and the rest of the arsenal shall help you to make any distractions as you capture Shannon."
Duff opened up the briefcase as the man said this, and looked to the weaponry in surprise. "Just who are you?" Duff asked with wonder. However, there was no response, as the man had suddenly vanished. Duff just smirked and placed the briefcase into his helicopter, starting to take off back to Blake Castle so that he could finish what he started.
Inside of Blake Castle, everyone was now wide awake. Due to hearing all of the explosions, the noise had waken everyone up, and it was very difficult for any of them to sleep. Starkiller and Kim soon rushed into the Castle, getting everyone's attention while Shannon was trying to keep everything in order.
"Kimmie, what happened?" Ann asked her daughter.
"Do you what disturbed the peace here, Starkiller?" James then asked.
Starkiller and Kim Possible soon found themselves being swarmed with questions while Shannon Blake looked to them with unease. "Oh my," Shannon said to herself. "I hope that things around here don't get too wild."
Kim was the first to speak up. "Duff Killigan was here, first trying to kill Galen until I saved him, which he returned the favor by calling in Starkiller." Kim explained.
"Duff wasn't here to kill Galen," Starkiller then said, trying to hide his face away from everyone. "But I sense that Killigan might have been after someone else in the Castle."
"Who would be a target in this Castle?" Ann asked. "And better yet, who would want to target them and why?"
Starkiller then pointed his index finger, rotating around the room until he was pointing to Shannon. "Miss Blake," Starkiller said. "I sense that you are feeling uneasy, and not just from the commotion, but from before that." Starkiller stated. "There's a word for that, you know. It's called 'Skeletons In The Closet', and yours are showing."
"Are you hiding something, Shannon?" Kim then asked as she walked up to her.
Shannon, trying to hide away her nervousness, shook her head in disagreement, but the golf ball that she dropped from earlier fell from her pocket, rolling onto the ground and in front of Starkiller.
"Well, well, well, what do we have here?" Starkiller asked, picking up the ball and then letting it float in front of him over his hand.
Kim then took out her Kimmunicator, starting to scan it. "Wade, what have you got?" Kim asked.
Wade typed away at his computer and pulled up an image. "It's a hollow golf ball, not explosive, like the ones Killigan uses," Wade explained.
Starkiller then held it carefully in his hands and opened it up, revealing a hidden parchment. "'You may think you're safe, but I shall make you pay for making the biggest mistake of your life.'" Starkiller read out loud.
Everyone stood in shock, all now looking to Shannon. Shannon was in surprise at the fact that her secret was out. Kim was the one in the most surprise, now narrowing her eyes at Shannon. "Shannon Blake, what's going on?" Kim asked worryingly. "Please be honest with me this time, and tell us if there's if there's absolutely anything that you're not telling us." Kim then begged. "It's all for the best that we all know."
Shannon looked around and then sighed. "Alright," she finally said in defeat. "Not every competitor was finished after I shut down the plans for the Trans-Dimensional Generator," Shannon started out, getting everyone to listen closely. "Duff Killigan was after my work. He wanted me to build himself a digital golf course that would cover the Earth, and he would unleash viruses that would feed on anyone who got in his way." Shannon said. "Refusing to do something so inhumane and monstrous, I destroyed my plans, never daring to use them again as I turned my back on that cursed project."
"But now, he found you." Starkiller stated. "How did you escape him the first time?"
"When I went to America, after working with James, I worked to help program the Role-Playing Game known as Everlot, and when I thought I was safe, I moved back here." Shannon stated.
Kim then placed her hands on Shannon's shoulders. "Right now, you're in danger of being hunted by Killigan." Kim said cautiously. "We can try to get you out of here as fast as possible, without Duff even noticing." Kim offered.
"By the time he realizes you're gone, it will already be too late for him to try and find you." Starkiller went on.
Shannon nodded. "Okay, I'm willing to do it." She replied. "But we have to move quickly before Duff–"
"Before Duff finds out about the plan!" a voice then yelled.
Everyone then looked to the side as the windows shattered, a high pitch filling the room and causing everyone to cover their ears as Duff Killigan entered the room, cackling madly.
Shannon got up and looked to Duff. "Killigan, when I say 'no', I mean it!" Shannon exclaimed angrily.
"Aye, I know what ya told me, Shannon, but I nay said I liked it." Duff said, taking out some explosive golf balls.
"Well, learn to like it!" Shannon then yelled. She then picked up the golf ball that was sent to deliver the message to her towards a coat of arms on the wall, knocking it off and letting a sword and a shield land in her hands. She then charged towards Killigan, her sword raised into the air.
Starkiller and Kim both got up as they both unsheathed their respective weapons, the Hairdryer Grappling Gun and Starkiller's twin lightsabers, both of which were glowing blue.
Duff brought out one of his golf clubs and swung at Shannon, who blocked the metal before using her sword to slash back. The two clashed together, and Shannon started to force Duff back. Duff then broke off and tossed some golf balls at her face, but Shannon used the shield to defend herself before jabbing with her sword. It was then that Killigan took out another golf club and clashed with the sword using both clubs, now grabbing onto the blade. Shannon attempted to get loose, but Duff grabbed her sword and threw it aside before swinging at her again. Shannon managed to block the attack with her remaining shield, and picked up an axe from the coat of arms, dropping her shield in the process of doing so.
Kim then shot her Hairdryer Grappling Gun, wrapping around Duff's feet before Starkiller ran in to attack. However, Duff reached for another golf club, this one shining with a different color. Starkiller then struck, but Duff used the new club, actually blocking the blade and clashing with him, much to Starkiller's shock.
"How did you–?!" Starkiller asked out while stuttering.
"Some lassie gave me special weapons to help fight you," Duff then explained. "Didn't know who he was, but I could tell that he was armored, and seemed extremely dangerous, traits that every villain should have." Killigan went on.
"The Green-Armored Mercenary!" Kim exclaimed, the picture of the man in green armor who freed Drakken and Shego first and then Professor Dementor.
Duff then chuckled and pushed Starkiller off before slicing at the cord, causing Kim to fall back from pulling on the cord.
Shannon then attacked Duff with the axe, but Duff swung at her. Shannon managed to duck from the attack before regaining her sword, charging towards Duff and knocking him to a wall. "I'll never help you, Killigan!" Shannon exclaimed, trying to stab at Duff.
"That's not one of your options!" Duff remarked, kicking Shannon away and then swinging his new golf club at her head, causing her to fall unconscious.
The Possible Family all stood in surprise before Starkiller charged at Killigan with his lightsabers activated and Kim by his side. Duff looked to the two and chuckled. "Soon, I'll be unstoppable!" Duff Killigan exclaimed, throwing down a golf ball and creating a smokescreen.
As soon as the smoke cleared away and Starkiller and Kim ran towards Killigan with the unconscious Shannon in his hands, both of them were gone. Starkiller looked around, aiming his lightsabers in every direction. "Killigan may have disappeared with Shannon, but I bet that you can track him," Starkiller said to Kim. "Or better yet, have a good idea of where Duff Killigan may be hiding."
Kim nodded as she soon took out her Kimmunicator to contact Wade. "Wade, Killigan just got away with Shannon," Kim told Wade as he looked to her on the screen. "Can you contact Global Justice to come to our location and arrest him when we've found him?" Kim asked
Wade took a slurp from his drink and nodded. "I'm on it," he reported. "Global Justice will soon be on their way. I just hope that you have a plan to get to Duff."
"I'll take care of that." Starkiller then said as he stepped up. "Remember, I have my own transportation."
"Indeed you do," Kim mused. She then turned off the Kimmunicator before her parents walked up to her.
"Find Shannon and be sure to give Duff Killigan a piece of my mind." Ann said to her daughter. She then turned to Starkiller and craned her neck. "Make sure that my daughter is alright."
Starkiller nodded. "I'll do just that, Ms. Possible." Starkiller stated. "You can count on me."
James Possible then stepped up, holding two chips in his hands. "When you find Duff, and if he succeeds in activating the Trans-Dimensional Area Generator, use these." He ordered. "They will immediately shut down the Program, but you have to do it at the same time, or else they won't work."
Starkiller and Kim both nodded as they started to grab the chips. "Thanks, Dad." Kim said.
Starkiller then pressed a button on his Gauntlet, summoning the Rogue Shadow, now floating outside of the Castle at the hole in the wall Duff made earlier. Much to Kim's surprise, Galen was there on the landing dock. "Come on!" he yelled. "We don't have much time!"
Kim smiled at Galen before she and Starkiller ran onto the Rogue Shadow, now taking off towards Duff Killigan's Castle to save Shannon and stop Killigan from unleashing a new terror on the world.
Inside of the Rogue Shadow, Starkiller started to pilot the ship towards the Castle while Kim sat in a seat next to Galen. She smiled to him, which he smiled back. "You know, that was really brave of you, to go up against Duff." Kim complimented Galen.
Galen nodded. "Self-Defense," Galen explained. "Where I came from, I learned how to defend myself against enemies, having been taught in all sorts of survival skills."
"So have I." Kim said.
Starkiller looked back and smiled to the two, but still tried to hide away the fact that he was Galen Marek, and that the 'Galen' Kim was talking to was just PROXY disguised as Galen.
Soon, they approached Duff Killigan's Castle. Kim and Galen looked out over the window and soon saw things all around starting to digitize. Starkiller looked out as well and then turned to Galen. "Stay inside, Galen, and access the ship only when there's trouble." Starkiller ordered.
'Galen' nodded before Kim gave him a hug. "Just stay safe, 'Kay?" she said.
'Galen' blushed and nodded. "Alright." He said.
Starkiller and Kim both ran towards the landing dock, jumping out and now prepared to take on Duff with whatever threat he may challenge them with.
On the ground below, the two started to run as the security systems in Duff's Castle started to activate. Starkiller activated one of his lightsabers and then threw them to Kim before she activated it as well. The two ran as lasers started to fire, but the two deflected the bolts before Starkiller shot Lightning at them while Kim used her own Hairdryer Grappling Gun to disable them. She threw the lightsaber back to Starkiller as the two then performed flips over some mines, avoiding them from activating.
Soon, the two reached the door of the Castle. Kim took out some powder and started to spread it all over the door. After doing so, she looked to Starkiller. "Do your thing." She said.
"Gladly." Starkiller replied. He then got into a stance and cupped his hands together, letting the Force flow through him. When he was all charged up, Starkiller released all of his energy, knocking the giant door over the drawbridge down. "Hold on!" Starkiller then yelled, grabbing Kim's arm. Together, the two leapt across the moat and into the Castle.
Inside, they immediately saw Duff waiting for them, Shannon tied to a chair near a computer. "Aye, you're right on time." Duff said. "Too bad the Program was already activated!" he then yelled, unsheathing his new golf club. "I'm gonna enjoy this!" Duff then exclaimed, holding the club like a sword.
Starkiller then unsheathed both of his lightsabers once again as he looked to Kim. "I'll take care of Killigan." He said. "Do you think you can try and free Shannon?"
"Please and Thank You." Kim replied, running off to the side. Starkiller then activated both of his blades as Duff ran right at him.
Starkiller jumped into the air and onto the front of the one of the Courses that were digitized from the program to attack Duff. They clashed high and low, Starkiller using Shien and Duff using no technique at all, none backing down. Duff Killigan then unsheathed another club, and tried to use both of his golf clubs to perform a pincer attack on Starkiller, but he ducked low and swung around to use a Soresu strike on his head. Killigan blocked it and then pushed Galen off.
Starkiller got onto the ground and looked up to the evil, mad and demented golf player as he swung his golf clubs down at him. Starkiller just dodged them, but when explosive golf balls started to rain down on the Jedi, Starkiller was soon forced to evade them. Duff chuckled as he chased Starkiller across the Castle. "It's bad enough that this Program is about to kill me, but now but now I have a golf player on my tail?! What is the world coming to?!" he told himself as he started to run from Killigan's strafing.
As this was happening, Kim worked fast to try and free Shannon. "I'm sorry that I wasn't completely honest with you." Shannon told Kim as the Girl Who Could Do Anything worked fast to get the ropes off. "I should have been more honest."
"I understand," Kim replied, starting to take out a file to cut the ropes, which were as hard as nails. "We all have our secrets in life. Sometimes, we have no choice but to try and keep them to ourselves, but when the past comes to haunt you, there will be nothing we can do to keep our secrets safe." Kim stated.
Shannon sighed and nodded at this. Finally, Kim cut the ropes, now falling off. Shannon soon got up and went at the computer. "If you and Starkiller can give me enough time, then I might be able to shut down the Programming!" Shannon exclaimed.
Kim nodded as she took out the chip she was given. "You'll need this." Kim said, handing the chip to Shannon.
Shannon grabbed it and nodded. "Now go!" Shannon yelled, to which Kim replied by nodding and running off to help Starkiller fight against Duff.
Duff Killigan started to laugh as he twirled around his golf clubs, golf balls falling down next to him. "Fore!" he yelled, putting all of the balls at once.
Starkiller started to use Vaapad, attacking in a flurry of motions to slice apart the exploding balls. However, while he was busy, a large machine behind him started aiming harpoons and daggers at him. Without warning, they fired, causing Starkiller to turn his head around and gasp.
All of a sudden, before the sharp projectiles could even hit him, Kim Possible's leg kicked one of the daggers away. Kim then ran forwards and punched away the other ones.
Starkiller smirked and then leapt into the air, twirling around with his lightsabers and using the Force to charge up his attacks, now not only slicing the balls apart, but also sending out waves that began to destroy the machines and virus monsters advancing towards them.
Duff looked in surprise before Starkiller landed on the ground, taking out his chip. "Shannon, catch!" Starkiller yelled out, tossing the chip over to Shannon.
Shannon soon caught the chip and started typing faster. Duff looked at both Starkiller and Kim Possible and growled. "To the depths with ya!" he yelled out, sending more explosive golf balls towards them.
Kim then shot her Grappling Gun at the golf clubs, grabbing them before Starkiller started to charge up with Force Lightning. "Stand back!" Starkiller yelled to Kim. Kim complied and took several steps away before Starkiller unleashed a Torrent of Force Lightning at the balls, disintegrating them before the Lightning struck at Duff, knocking him back.
Starkiller then redirected his Lightning towards the console that Shannon was working at, giving her more speed on the antivirus. "And done!" Shannon then exclaimed, pressing the 'Enter' button.
Duff looked all around him as the digital gold course started to fade away, along with his Army of Virus Monsters. Starkiller and Kim both smirked as the Jedi deactivated his lightsabers, Killigan now starting to stutter with shock and disbelief. "Hole. In. One." Starkiller quipped.
Kim then walked towards Duff and handcuffed him, just as helicopters from Global Justice started to arrive. Starkiller and Kim both helped Shannon out of the Castle while Duff Killigan was taken away.
From a distance away, Boba Fett watched everything happen from the Slave I. He let out a chuckle while the helicopters flew away with Duff, and then flew on after them.
Later on, back at Blake Castle, the Possible Family and Galen, the real Galen this time, as PROXY was back in the Rogue Shadow, were all gathering together for a large breakfast feast as Shannon came with more food. She smiled as she started noticing everyone was happier than ever. She then looked towards Kim. "Thanks you, Kim Possible, and thank you, Starkiller, wherever you may be."
Kim looked up and smiled. "The least we could do," she replied back in a friendly tone.
Galen chuckled as he ate some of his turkey. "Well, with Duff Killigan out of your way, as Starkiller told me, what's next on the agenda?" he asked the Possible Family. "Fishing? The festivals?"
Kim chuckled and placed her hand on Galen's shoulder. "Maybe… everything." She said.
The Possible Family and Shannon all laughed, seeing as how well everything was now going. Kim and Galen both looked each other in the eyes, things now working out for all of them.
