The rest of the week went by in a blur, filled with remedial lessons and every once and awhile we would choose an easy task from the mission board. So far we only had 3 souls, which Grey was rather disappointed in himself with. He can be pretty hard on himself sometimes. You see Grey's wanted to become a meister since he was just a little guy. The whole notion of becoming a meister was brought on by his grandfather who happened to be a meister himself. He grew up with stories of meisters, so ever since then he hoped to be a meister Grey said he was devastated when the old man died.

Now I didn't really have any family members to persuade me to actually use my weapon abilities. My mom was dating this guy who ran off once he figured out he knocked her up, from him I inherited my ability to turn in to a weapon. I had a fairly normal life nothing really out of the ordinary. I mean sure I did get in a few fights every once and awhile but they started it. Anyways I hadn't even thought of becoming a death scythe until I met Grey.

At the time I met Grey he was having problems because lets just say his weapon partner was being difficult. And by difficult I mean a complete ass. I've actually had the honors of meeting Grey's first weapon partner, whose name was Noah; I wasn't to fond of him. Which Grey insisted that I was being to quick to judge .And that the only reason my opinion of him was so low was because of the things that were said about him when Grey was still sore about the subject. Well that and he insulted my skill as a weapon when he gave up on being one in the first place.

Anyways Grey is the reason why I'm here in Death City today. Before I wouldn't have thought of it. I actually kinda like killing kishin and being able to change in to a weapon more often.

"Hey Spencer you wanna go out for a run". Grey asked me already in shorts and a tank top.

I looked at him from my position on the couch. " Ya, sure if you can keep up".

" Tch, I'm pretty sure I can".

"Thats not what I remember from last time".

" That was just luck".

"Or the time before that".

"...At least I'm stronger then you. I could just knock you out".

" If you could catch me that is".

" Will ya shut up and your ass ready".

I slid off the couch " Yeah,yeah I'm going".

I walk in to my room thats filled with various posters of bands and video games and started searching through my dresser for something to wear other then the Pj's I was currently in. It didn't take me long to find a nice pair of basketball shorts and a black tee shirt. I threw a green hoodie on over my shirt, laced up sneakers and I was ready. As soon as we left the apartment we were dashing ahead of each other.

"To sloooww". I shouted behind me.

" Not for long. Soon you'll be the one whose to slow".

We raced through Death city the person in the lead switching occasionally. Dodging the people on the sidewalks turned out to be a challenge, I was still winning overall though. After awhile of twisting and turning through the streets we finally came to a stop. By stop I mean Grey ran into some blonde chick playing basketball with her friends. She toppled to the ground.

"Ahh! I'm so sorry for that"! He rushed over to her to help her up. Frantically apologizing the whole time. I started to snicker at the whole ordeal.

Glancing up at him she blushed in embarrassment and frowned " You could at least watch where you're going"! The whole time Grey looked like a scolded child. He offered his hand to help her stand up.

While he did that I was in the back holding my sides because of laughter. He turned towards me and flipped me off which made me stick out my tongue at him in return. I finally calmed my laughter and scanned the group of people for familiar faces. Kid with spiky blue hair, wasn't he that loud kid in class?

Short blonde chick with a generous chest, also in class shes always with the dude with striped hair and the one that Grey knocked over. Dark hair in a ponytail, I think she was the loud guys partner. Blonde girl with pigtails , someone I actually know surprisingly enough.

I waved in her direction " Sup' Maka".

" Hey Spencer. So what were you two doing before Grey knocked into Liz"? Ahh so thats what Blondie's name was.

" We were just out for a run".

A guy with white hair, I think Maka said his name was Soul, raised an eyebrow. " That was just going out for a run"?

Grey spoke up " It was probably more like a race".

" A race which I won".

" Hey! Aren't we going to get back at the game that I was beating you all in". The short blue haired guy added in.

Ponytail scolded him for it " Blackstar thats impolite". She turned towards Grey and I. " Hello I'm Tsubaski"!

Grey greeted her " It's nice to meet you Tsubaski I'm Grey".

" I'm Spencer".

Stripes decided to speak up " It seems introductions are in order. I'm Death the Kid and these are my weapon partners Liz and Patty". He motion towards the Blondes behind him.

I waved my hand in their direction " Nice to meet ya".

" So are we gonna get back to the game or.." Soul questioned to his distracted friends.

" We're sorry about that we'll let you get back to your game". Grey added with a wave of his hand.

He turned on his heel and started to leave " You should play a game with us"! Patty exclaimed while clapping her hands.

" There are two of you so the numbers would be even". Maka added in.

Blackstar shouted his thoughts " Two more people will just give me more people to beat"!

" Alright then it's settled Spencer you be on my team and Grey you be on Blackstar's team". Soul said dividing us into teams.

When we started to play I guarded Grey, stopping him from getting the ball. We pushed and shoved each other and argued. Eventually the final score was Blackstar 15, Soul 10.

Grey smirked in my direction " Look who won"

I scowled at him " That was just luck"

" I remember me saying that same thing to you and you disagreeing".

" Tch whatever".

" Aww is somebody sore about losing".

"As if".

"Poor poor Spencer such a drama queen".

" You're a bigger drama queen then me".

" Nope I'm pretty chill".

" You wish".

" I don't have to wish because I already am".

As we continued to argue a collective thought went through the groups head.

'How do they live together,
