CHAPTER 4: WEIRDO
I yawned loudly as I awoke from my afternoon nap. Dear god, I shouldn't have.
"What the hell!" I shrieked as I saw Sam's face horrifyingly close to mine. I slipped off the side of the couch from such surprisement, falling face flat onto the hardwood floor. My face heated up in anger as I rose from the ground to a certain 17 year-old's terrified expression.
"Uh..uh.."
"Samuel Witwicky!" I screamed in fury, my fists clenching.
"Whoa, whoa Sel! Before you rip my balls off-"
"Oh I'm gonna rip them off slowly!" I threatened him, my teeth baring in such anger.
No one dares do that to me when I wake up hell no! Staring at me like a damn stalker and even stalkers don't stalk that freaking close!
"No ball ripping in the house!" Uncle Ron called from the kitchen.
"Calm down Sel jeez!" Sam said, getting up on his feet.
"What is going on in here?" Aunt Judy walked into the living room in between the predator and the prey.
"Sel is just taking things up the ass," Sam mocked me and I waved a fist up.
"Well you wanna take something up yours?" I warned him, getting close and Aunt Judy blocking my way.
"Bring it bitch!" Sam challenged and I gave him an "oh you wanna go" face as I launched my body to him but Aunt Judy decided to keep us from being the death reason on eachother's tomb stones.
"Hey hey you two enough!"
Me and him slapped eachother across Aunt Judy's shoulders, my hand landing a good one across his face and his hand gripping a fistful of my hair.
"ENOUGH!" Aunt Judy screamed and pushed me and Sam away from eachother.
"He started it!" I pointed a finger at him and he scoffed.
"Me? Maybe if you weren't such a psycho-"
"PSYCHO?!" I shrieked, trying to get another hand in for a beating.
"Selena Rose Witwicky enough! Both of you!" Aunt Judy pushed me back, rubbing her temples, "I swear to god you two are the biggest headaches in humanity."
"Not my fault you decided to bring a criminal's daughter in here," Sam muttered and my heart stopped.
"Samuel!" Aunt Judy scolded him with a look of disbelief.
It was silent for a second then Sam scoffed, rolling his eyes and leaving the room carelessly. Aunt Judy walked over to me with a concerned look. "Sel...he didn't mean that.."
He didn't just say that, please tell me he didn't. My anger faded away and was replaced with sadness, my heart beating faster and faster as these wretched tears threatened to spill. No don't you dare cry. Don't you dare! I held it in and pursed my lips, shaking my head, "Whatever."
With that I left the room as well and decided to get some fresh air outside. My eyes glanced at the black and yellow Camaro sitting in the driveway as I passed by it. Weirdo. I continued strolling to the sidewalk, heading to the lake just a couple blocks away. The sky was an orange color, the time when it was almost sunset and eventhough I've seen it multiple times, the sight still mesmerized me. I finally made it to the lake, only to to find it filled with a bunch of high school students. You've got to be shitting me. Rolling my eyes, I walked on ahead, feeling too lazy to return back home this far. Apparently it was some sort of party from my observations, luckily the spot where I always sit at to think wasn't occupied by the the idiots. I avoided the large scattered group and sat down near the water, my feet shuffling the wet dirt around.
"Miles don't do that, you look like an idiot...oh shit is that Mikaela Banes?" A familiar voice was heard behind me.
Oh my god. Please tell me that's not who I think it is.
I sighed, bracing for what I was about to see. Turning around, I saw Sam and his moronic friend Miles by a tree. Sam awkwardly freaking out by Mikaela whom was standing by Trent at his 'such an amazing' truck and Miles hanging upside down on the tree branch not giving a single damn about anything. My plan was to ignore them and hope they don't come anywhere near me, but whoop-dee-doo that changed quick! As I saw Trent confronting Sam.
"Are you kidding me," I groaned, getting up. He pissed me off yes he did earlier but I can't let him suffer the wrath of rich-boy ass face right in front of Mikaela. Heading over to them, I could already sense Sam's lack of socializing. "Hey guys, what's going on."
"Sel?" Sam looked at me in shock.
"Well, looks like we have two uninvited little girls here," Trent smirked at me and Sam.
"What you mean you and Mr. Monkey hanging on the tree over here?" I replied back, straining a smile and Trent growled in anger.
"What was that little girl?" Trent warned me, his body towering over me. I backed up a little but kept a hard face.
"You heard me," I growled, glaring knives at him.
"You little bitch."
"Hey don't talk to my cousin like that," Sam intervened, Trent turning his attention to him,
God dammit Sam I had it!
"What was that?" Trent asked, looking about ready to murder my cousin to pieces. Well, it was nice knowing you Sam.
"Are you freaking deaf?" I scoffed, "Maybe it's the football."
I heard Mikaela snicker from the background and Trent began to get all up in my face. The blue-eyed girl walked between me and Trent, "Okay that's enough."
She pulled Trent away, winking at me. I mouthed 'thanks' to her and turned on my heel to Sam and Miles. "What the hell are you two nimrods doing here."
"Duh, to climb this tree!" Sam nervously laughed, gesturing the tree. I kept staring at him in disbelief and he sighed, "We just decided to hang around at the party you know, with the cool kids."
"You nearly got squished by that monster just a second ago," I explained to him and Miles nodded.
"Hey Sel, are you still single?"
"Put a cork in it or else I'll put one up your ass," I menacingly warned him. If he dares comes an inch near me I won't hesitate to decapitate him slowly.
"Yes ma'am," He squeaked, cowering behind Sam.
"Question is what are you doing here?" Sam asked.
"That ain't none of your business," I grabbed his ear and pinched it.
"Haaaaa!" His voice went high as I drug him down to the ground by his ear. I let go of my grip and walked over to the car. "Where are you going?"
"Take me home!" I called out, jumping into the backseat
"After that? No! Absolutely not!"
"Fine, good luck with Miles as your wingman for that…" I pointed to Mikaela who was walking down the sidewalk. Miles hopped into the front seat from the window. "You're so stupid you know that?"
"You're so fine you know that?"
I jumped up and pinched his nose as hard as I can. All that came out was a nasally scream, "Saaaaammm!"
But he just ignored Miles' helpless screams and he leaned against the hood, staring at Mikaela. The radio out of nowhere had emitted static and played 'who's gonna drive you home?' I looked at it in confusement and let go of Miles, his nose a reminder of my favorite Christmas reindeer. He groaned in pain, rubbing his nose before gawking at me. I sat back in my seat and just without a word stared at the radio.
"Uh dude, I think there's something wrong with your radio," Miles remarked, but Sam was too busy staring at Mikaela's ass I guess.
I snapped back into reality, kicking Miles arm off of the console, "Idiot you probably accidentally hit it."
"Oh well my bad but my nose was being manhandled by my best friend's cousin!" He retorted in a crazy tone.
"Miles get out of the car," Sam abruptly said as he got into the driver's seat.
"Yes!" I cheered in pride and glory, not even caring the Miles' door just opened by itself! Wait..what? But I'm too happy! So suck it! "Miles is getting kicked out, uh huh, he's getting kicked out..what now!"
I sang a little rap and he just stared at me and then Sam, "You've gone insane, bros before hoes!"
My happy dance stopped, "You did not just say that."
"Uh…"
"Get out of the CAR!" I roared, grabbing him by this throat and shaking him back forth.
"Wahhh!" Miles' arm craved to find the door and Sam attempted to pry me off but I was busy shaking him, furious at what he just said.
"Sel! Let go!"
The entire car was filled with ruckus and cries mainly from Miles until a strong strap vined around my waist and shoulder, slamming back into the seat. "H-hey!"
"Miles get out now!" Sam pushed him out and closed the door, leaving the dip shit behind.
"Crazy bitch!" Was all I heard as we drove off.
"Sam! This thing just-" I struggled in the seatbelt, trying to unbuckle it but no use. "Damn you you bastard Camaro!"
"Sel! Shut up we have to catch up to Mikaela! And for the love of god stop swearing!" Sam just said and I grew tired of ripping the seatbelt in half and just sat back, sulking.
You win this round Camaro!
We drove up beside Mikaela, Sam stuttering slightly, "Mikaela! Hey I'm Sam and, uh I was wondering if I could ride you- uh I mean give you a ride!"
Smooth Sam, smooth.
Hesitant at first, she accepted his offer and got into the passenger's seat and smiled when she saw me then changed to a puzzling look, "Sel? You know him?"
"Sadly, he's my cousin," I explained bluntly, staring forward at the road.
"You know eachother?"
"I met Sel back in middle school, I just didn't know you guys were related. I actually thought you two were dating," She blushed and laughed.
"No." Me and Sam both said at the same time.
"I'd rather eat cow poop...in hell," I added, resting my head onto the soft seat and heard a small laugh. For a bastard you're pretty soft, Camaro. Snuggling more into the seat, the belt tightened around me but I didn't mind, maybe it was just part of the car. The soft music and atmosphere was lulling me into a sleep, my body already going limp until the radio put on 'Sexual Healing' and the road became suddenly bumpy, the sound of the car dying as well. "Well, you were going good for a minute there."
"No, no, no.." Sam chanted quietly and he tried to get the car to start working again.
Mikaela just sat there, looking over the dashboard, "Mind if I pop the hood to check?"
"Uh..no..go right ahead," He said.
They got out of the car and I being too lazy to be concerned about this vehicle sat back, staring at the radio. "You just love messing with my cousin huh."
The radio made a whirr noise and I raised my eyebrows. Jesus, I must be going insane now.
"Well maybe we will get along then," I smirked and the seatbelt tightened around me once again. "You're such a weird car…"
In the corner of my eye I saw Sam's only chance at romance walking away in heels. Oh dear. My cousin jumped into the driver's seat and attempted one more time to start the car.
"Come on, come on!" Sam pleaded, his wish being granted as the engine roared back to life. "Wait! Mikaela!"
"Ugh…" I shook my head, letting it fall back into the seat. This is gonna be a long day.
I moved my arm, feeling a plushy pillow rather than air and a seatbelt. My eyes drooped open, the room around me dark. Taking in my surroundings, I noticed I was in my room and the clock read 1:02 a.m. I sighed, and remembered it had been dark already when we got Mikaela to her house and gladly I knocked out just a couple minutes after. Laying on my back, I stared up at my ceiling thinking about what Sam said earlier 'a criminal's daughter' and it echoed in my head, tears starting to build up once more. No, no, no! You beastly things stay in there! I sniffed and got up to go get a glass of water since I haven't drank water in who knows how long. I went down to the kitchen and was surprised to see Sam munching on some chips.
"What, never seen anyone eating in the middle of the night?" He asked, his mouth full.
I looked at him in disgust, "Ugh close your mouth and I just came to get some water if you don't mind."
I got my glass and filled it with some water, chugging down the refreshing liquid. Putting my glass into the dishwasher, I was at the door frame when I heard Sam call me.
"Sel?"
"Sam I will not let you sleep in my room because you watched a horror film, okay?" I answered, turning back to him and placing a hand on my hip.
"No, it's not that, it's what I said earlier," He spoke quietly, even more quiet than I've ever seen him.
Sam, it's okay, you were mad-"
"But I still didn't have the right to say that!" He objected, and he sighed, "I'm sorry okay?"
"You're forgiven but you know I'll get you back right?" I joked, laughing and he smiled.
I leaned on the counter, also grabbing some chips. He glanced at anywhere but my face and that usually meant something was up.
"Okay...spill."
He laughed nervously, "My mom said she called earlier."
"Who Elena, my crazy drug-addict mother?" I raised an eyebrow, continuing to eat the Cheetos. "Tell her hey."
"She just wants to talk, Sel.."
"She can talk with cell mates then," I sneered, my voice cold, but it melted into my eyes. I pushed the chips away and made my way out of the kitchen to the stairs.
"Sel wait!"
Beneath Sam's voice I heard a recognizable engine roar to life from outside. I immediately froze in my steps, "Do you hear that?"
"The car!" Sam yelled as he saw the Camaro driving past the house in the window. He zoomed to the front door, grabbing his coat and leaving the house screaming to give his car back.
Where there's Sam, there's trouble and only I can get him out of whatever trouble he gets himself into. I followed in his tracks and also took my coat, sighing, "You're so dead to me Sam and you bastard Camaro."
A/n: Okay, so I know there's not much to it and it's because I'm really just getting back into this and by the way the new Transformers movie was pretty good. The cast wasn't as bad as I was expecting I just felt the battles were all over the place you know what I mean? Anywho, you see a soft side of Sel here and I just wanted her to be sort of more tender in this chapter than the last ones. Well yup! See you in the next chapter! Review what you think and don't be afraid to PM me :)
