AN:Sorry about how long before the upload. Life has been pretty crazy. Thankfully my wonderful girl reminded me to stop being so distracted and get this posted. So here's the next chapter. There will be some polls in the near futured. And I don't have a beta, so let me see the love people.
Chaos stepped into view of Number 4 Pivet Drive. She was furious but she had to get a hold of herself if she was going to be picking up the little baby that represented the heir of Mother Magic's own mortal bloodline. She sighed softly, making sure her appearance looked human at least. No cat ears or tail. Sleek black hair, black dress that looked like it might even be an evening gown of some rich woman. A tiny bit of summoned jewelry, tasteful but obviously expensive to the glance. Satisfied she conjured a limo to sit outside and give more to the illusion of being some distant rich relative. Finally she stepped up and knocked on the door.
She was greeted by a thin, horse faced woman who looked at her shrewdly for a moment before putting on a false smile. "Hello. Can I help you Miss?" Chaos shuddered at the screechy tone of the woman's voice. She forced herself to smile back.
"I am the Lady Corinthia, of the most noble house of Corinthia. I was hoping to have a word with you, as it seems due to a cousin of mine our families are intertwined now."
"Oh, of course. Please come inside. I apologize for how quaint it must be to you. My husband and I try to keep things simple but nice for our son." Liar. Chaos bit her tongue though and stepped inside, struggling to maintain her fake attitude.
"Oh, it's simply lovely. Like my summer cottage. I digress however." She seated herself on the couch, looking every bit out of place with the haughty pose she was taking. "It's come to my attention that my cousin James married your sister and they have a child. While my side of the family has never approved of the Potters, that child is the closest blood relative I have, and since I am unable to have children of my own, that child is my sole heir as well. So I am here for the child." She watched the look on the woman's face as she realized that the noblewoman was here for the wizarding child, and practically saw the wheels turning when she realized that she might be able to get her own family in with a higher crowd.
"Oh you poor thing. I understand. Such a shame it is really. There's nothing like having one of your own. Of course I'm sure you've got plenty of servants to help care for him, but if you ever need a mother's advice on how to at least look like you know how to care for a child, you're always welcome to come to me. I'm sure my dear Vernon wouldn't mind, and the boys can have play dates so they can keep in touch. They are cousins after all."
Chaos smiled as sweetly as she could. "Of course they must have play dates. And we'll have to have tea as well. I intended to have a more hands on approach with my heir. I have to make sure that every bit of Potter in him is squashed before he's old enough for it to be noticed. It simply isn't proper."
Petunia nodded in agreement and stood. "I'll just fetch the little one. Harry is such a quiet baby I'm sure you won't have much trouble getting him settled." The woman disappeared from the room and Chaos began casting a few spells. Petunia was never going to enjoy having a clean home again, nor would her family enjoy any company they ever had over ever again. Truth spells and dirt attracting spells were wonderful. She wiped the wicked smirk from her face just in time as Petunia returned. "Here you are. He wasn't left with anything, so he's had to share with my Duddikens."
Chaos took the toddler from her. "That's understandable. I'll give you a call sometime soon so we can meet for tea of course." She rose swiftly and headed for the door. "Oh and Petunia," she called out just as she was leaving, "You're a disgrace to the line of the great Mother. May you and yours be cursed never to know Her blessing or love. You are no longer family." She watched in satisfaction as it dawned on Petunia and as the curse settled in with a flash of golden light. She left then with Harry tucked safely in her arms.
Standing on the lawn of Hogwarts, she looked from Harry to the castle with a fond smile. "Look Harry, we're home. Our real home. Soon you'll have a proper father figure too. Severus will be mine. Then we'll be our own little family." With that, she was striding up the lawn, intent on showing Severus her new little bundle of joy that was the toddler, Harry Potter.
