Fun Fact: I get of a lot of inspiration from the artist Bloochikin on how the Eds and the other characters look. I have a few minor changes from how the artist created them, but I think May is one of the ones that is different then how she is presented in Bloochikin's work. But if you guys ever need help picturing what they look like, you can refer to that. I'm not that good with description, but if anyone would like me to send them full descriptions of what I have, I will be more than happy to.

And with that, here is chapter 4!

Enjoy!

The school day was finally over and with the front door slammed open, Marie threw her backpack at couch with a huff. Lee, who got in before her and was sitting on the couch, next to Marie's fallen bag, glared at her.

"What are ya goin' and throwin' things for?"

"Put a sock in it, Annie!" Marie said, referring to Lee's curly and unruly, red pixie cut that still kept her bangs in front of her eyes, but Lee became more mindful to move them away, revealing her light brown eyes, same ones that her mother and sisters share.

Lee looked at her with a smirk, "Well if I'm Annie, I guess that makes you the dumb dog."

"Oh! What does that make me, Lee?" May half snorted while barreling through the door, almost slamming into Marie in the process. Over the years, May's body-less, blonde hair darkened to a dirty blonde. She had been dying it back to her original light color, but now it was time for a root touch up.

With her eyes still trained on Marie, Lee smirked, "May, your roots are showin'." What that, May threw her hands up to her head and started going into their room, calling to Marie to come and help her re-dye it.

But Marie didn't listen, instead she stalked over to the chair off to the side of the couch and plopped herself on it with her legs hanging over the armrest. Her arm flew up to cover her eyes and she let out a groan.

Lee followed her sister's actions, "What's eatin' ya, Marie?"

"Nothing."

The eldest snorted in disbelief, "Could it be something to do with you telling us that you don't wanna have fun with our boyfriends any more?"

With that May came in with a mirror in her hands, looking up to see her darker hair, "Yeah! What's gotten into you, Marie?"

"Ugh! I said nothing! Can't you two just give it a rest! I said nothing is wrong! Come on May, I'll do your hair."

May, taking that as an answer, smiled and went to the bathroom to get the box dye from the bathroom. Lee, still being more skeptical, narrowed her eyes at Marie. The blue-haired girl saw her staring, "Take a picture, Annie. It lasts longer." Marie left her chair and their main room.

Lee chucked and shook her head, getting up to start getting ready for her job at the restaurant.

"If you two get any more hair dye on the kitchen floor, mom is gonna blow her lid!"

A half an hour and one empty box later, Marie stepped back and examined her work. May was sitting one of the hard kitchen chairs in the center of the small kitchen. She had a shower cap on the top of her head and an old, ragged towel around her shoulders.

"This stuff is always so itchy, Marie," May snorted, while fighting the urge to scratch her scalp.

"Quit your whining May, ya only have to wait a bit before we can rinse ya."

May peeled her legs off the chair and stretched out her back. She turned to her older sister, "So are ya feeling any better?"

Marie rolled her eyes as she went to the sink to wash her hands, "I don't wanna talk about it."

"Aw, come on! Ever since last night you have been ignoring us!"

"I said I don't wanna talk about it! I just...I just have a lot of things on my mind."

May stopped prying, but was still studying her face.

Marie could feel her younger sister looking at her. She sighed, turned off the running water, "Sorry, May. I think I'm gonna go and to get outta here. I just need some fresh air. She gave May a halfhearted smile, turned and walked out the door.

Meanwhile, the Eds had left school and gone back to the cul-de-sac and now they were in Ed's bedroom. Eddy was filling out some applications for easy work, thinking it would be better than his many failed scams. Ed was ignoring his homework and instead, flipping though his new comic, The Night of the Dog Eating Zombies. Double D on the other hand was doing his homework, but his mind was still clouded with other thoughts.

"For special skills, ya think I can put 'having a killer good looks' down? Heh, maybe they'll think I'm being too modest. What'd-ya guys think? Guys," Eddy had looked up from his paper and saw that his friends weren't even paying attention.

"Yo! Ed! Double D!"

With Eddy's shout, Edd snapped out of his thoughts and looked up at his friend, "What did you say, Eddy?"

"Dude," Eddy said,"What is with you today? You have been crazy out of it and it is getting really annoying."

"My apologizes fellows, I have had a slew of thoughts running through my head today." Edd closed his book and put it on the floor where he was sitting.

Ed looked up from his page to look at them now, "Have you been thinking about buttered toast all day too?"

Edd stared at him as he fought the urge to roll his eyes, "No Ed, I haven't," He looked at both of them, silently wondering how he could bring up what had been on his mind, "Have you gentleman noticed that the Kanker sisters seemed to have kept a relative distance from us at school today?"

Eddy rolled his eyes and chucked, "Pfft, yeah and it has been great! What you wanted them to show up? You got a screw loose or something?"

"Oh no, Eddy!" Ed nearly shouted, "Double D's mind has become one with a zombie ready to eat our flesh and blood!"

The other two looked at him in disbelief.

"How do you even live, Lumpy?"

This time, Edd did roll his eyes, "No Ed, my mind is perfectly in tact, thank you. But do two recall when the sisters came to your party last night, Eddy?"

"Do I ever. They scared the girl that I was making my move on," Eddy mumbled.

Edd ignored him and when on with his story, "Well last night, uh, well Marie led me up to on of those dusty rooms upstairs and she, well, started becoming amorous. She, um, was on top of me and discarded her top." He hiked up the collar of his button down, remembering the discolored spot on his neck.

Eddy gawked at him, noticing where Edd's hand is, "Wait a minute, Sock-head! Don't tell me you got hot and heavy with a Kanker, did you?"

"Double D is a zombie, Eddy! A zombie with girl germs!"

"Now, Ed, don't you think you are being a little too childish at the moment," Edd said, still blushing at Eddy's choice of words, "And no, I had no intention of succumbing to any hormonal urges a young man at my age might have. But as I was saying, at some point, she looked down at me and then she left. Not a single word. Even at school today, I accidentally met her gaze and she acted as if I wasn't there. I cannot help but wonder if these two stories are related."

Eddy huffed and looked back at his application, "I say, 'who cares?' She probably got bored and now we don't have to deal with them anymore. Good riddance to them anyways."

Ed too had picked up his comic and was reading contently again. Edd looked at his friends and sighed. Looking at his textbook, he just couldn't find it in him to study. He picked himself up, without even packing up his stuff, he began walking up the basement stairs.

"I think I will be going out for a bit of an evening stroll, gentlemen."

Oh man, guys! Things are GETTING INTERESTING! I'll see you guys real soon!
