A/N:Well, Raira Academy will now receive their newest friends, Oz and the gang! So age-wise...

Oz=15 (physically, but 25 in actuality or over 100+ years old if you count his real identity, which I won't spoil. Gil=24 or 124+, Alice=13+113+ years old, Elliot=15+ years old, Leo=15+years old, Ada=18+ years old, Break=35+years old, prob much older than that, Sharon=23 years, Lottie and the Baskervilles=100+ years old, Echo=15+, Mikado=15, Izaya=23, Shizuo=23.

Chapter 4 Raira Academy's newest students

Oz's POV

I knew things were going to be difficult from this point on, but little did I realize just what we were getting ourselves into. For one thing, most of the people here, like Shizuo-san and Celty-san seemed pretty nice, but people like that Izaya guy were ones to watch out for. It was Jack who ultimately scared him off. I'm grateful to him for that, at least.

'Thank you, Jack,' I whisper in my mind, and I hear a faint chuckle echo from inside my sound and a reply.

'Oz, you are my descendant...and my...property. I can't let anyone kill you, after all. If you die, I die.'

I blink in confusion. 'Eh? I thought I was Alice's property, at least that's what she calls me. I'm her contractor, and she's my chain.'

He laughs. 'You'll find out what your sin is in due time, Oz. You're not quite prepared to face it, yet. Oz, I must warn you that it will be...unpleasant and hard to bear. Will you be prepared to face your true self?' Jack sounds contrite and almost somber. What is he talking about?

'Of course. Elliot showed me to not be afraid of protecting myself. What have I to fear?'

Then, Jack disappears out of my mind.

"So, you're serious about that statement you made a while ago?" Shizuo-san says, snapping me out of my reverie.

"Eh? Of course...I don't lie. I've been through too much to lie." I admit, my green eyes staring into his.

Then he chuckles. "I like you, kid. You've got guts and anyone who scares Izaya off has my respect," He says, before puffing on his cigarette.

Gil looks at him. "I smoke, too," He mutters in a low voice.

"Gil, smoking is bad for you!" I scold lovingly.

Gil pouts. "Oz, you think I'm stupid? I already know that!"

"Um, do you two mind if I ask you a question?" The black-haired boy mutters.

"What is it?" Alice says.

"Do you guys mind...maybe blending in with us, by going to our school?"

My eyes light up. School? Now this should be fun. I haven't done any education since being educated by my tutors. This'll be good for Alice, since the poor girl's a chain, she's never experienced it before.

"I could do that," I say, "And so could Alice. What about you, Break?"

"I'm too old for that," Break says, "Maybe My Lady could be a teacher, you think?" He says before pointing at Sharon-chan, who flinches before sparkles light up her eyes.

"Sure," She coos. I know instantly that this is a bad idea.

"Why not?" Leo says.

"It can't hurt too much," Ada says.

"Gil and I will do some...work," Vincent says, putting his arm around Gil, who looks distinctly uncomfortable with this sort of attention.

So we follow the new people to our new homes. Alice and I fall asleep almost instantly, but my thoughts are on how this new world will treat us, and instantly, my last thoughts center around Jack and what he meant by my sin. What could be so bad? I mean, I'm the contractor of the B-rabbit, the deadliest chain in the Abyss.

The next morning, Mikado-san gets us up bright and early, so we can all put on our school uniforms. Alice puts up quite a struggle before she gives up and settles into hers.

"I hate this! It feels horrible!" She whines.

"Alice-kun, now we have to stay undercover, so your true nature isn't divulged, right?" Break says.

"True nature?" Kida-kun says, looking at us in bewilderment.

"Nothing at all!" I say, distinctly deciding it would not be wise to tell them about Alice being a chain and being B-rabbit. I mean, who on earth would believe my cute little Alice here is really the chain known as the Bloodstained Black Rabbit?

So, we head off to the school, and much to my surprise, a cute dark-haired girl with brown eyes greets Mikado-san and Kida-san. "H-Hello, how are you two-?" She pauses upon seeing Elliot, Leo, Sharon-chan, Ada, and I standing there, taking her in. "Who are they, Ryuugamine-san?" She whispers.

The background around me sparkles. "I...? I am Oz Vessalius-sama, the noble of the Vessalius family, and its future ruler! I absolutely adore women!" I cry, extending my arms outward.

"I'm...Alice, Alice the B-rabbit, the number one most powerful chain in existence! I'm incredibly strong and I love meat!" Alice cries.

"Alice, you aren't supposed to say your full name!" I hiss.

"What's a B-rabbit?" The girl says.

"I dunno," Kida-san says, "Probably just some nickname of hers."

"I'm Anri Sonohara...pleasure to meet you. And you guys are?"

"I'm Ada Vessalius, Onii-chan's sister! That's Sharon Rainsworth, this is Elliot-kun, and this is Leo-kun!"

"My pleasure," Leo says, though he is absorbed in a book Mikado-san lent him, like usual. I smile, everything is back to how it should be. It's completely normal.

"Anou, can I ask where you guys are from?" She asks.

I smile, "Somewhere far away from here."

"It's always nice to have transfer students," She whispers. I get the impression that she's a nice girl, but she's hiding something. I pause then. Alice is...sniffing the girl.

"You...smell funny. There's something not human about you," She whispers. "But I can't make out what it is."

"Alice, that's rude!" I say, "Sorry about Alice. She doesn't mean anything."

"No...that's all right," Anri whispers, though she seems a bit nervous about something, like what Alice said has struck something within her.

Saika's POV

New humans...new humans I can love. Even though my queen provides me with the power I love, perhaps these will host my children and become my new friends. I love all humans so much. I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you so much!

The boy...his blood smells different from those of ordinary humans. His smells delicious. I want to get inside his brain, help him breed my children.

Ah...the girl. Is she aware of me? She is not human. But the boy...the boy is not human, either. What are they? They're not parasites like me. What is the girl?

I must possess her...see how strong she is. Urgh, the girl is holding me back again. I hate when she does that. I just want to spread my love to them.

Masaomi's POV

These people seem likable enough. But the girl...what does she mean, "B-rabbit?" I don't understand what that means. Then her sniffing Anri and saying she doesn't seem human...she seems human enough to me. Could it be possible that the girl isn't human...I mean the Headless Rider doesn't seem human, so could she not be human, too?

I get the distinct impression that all of them are hiding things from us, dark things. The boy who looks like me...but deep down inside, he's truly conflicted, I can tell. He fakes a smile when he doesn't truly feel that way.

"Are you not human?" I ask the girl.

The girl looks at me and smirks. "Of course not. I'm a chain."

"What's a chain?"

"I'm a species that's stronger than humans. I can survive things ordinary humans cannot. I lived in a place called the Abyss."

"Whoa, that's totally cool!" Mikado says, looking very admiring of her indeed.

"She's really a rabbit," The boy says.

"You never told me you had a chain, Vessalius!" The beige-haired boy cries.

"Sorry, I didn't think to mention it. She's the B-rabbit!"

The boy's eyes bulge out of their socket. "T-The B-rabbit? You managed to contract the B-rabbit? That's the most powerful of them all! How did you-?"

"Now's not the time, Elliot," The boy says seriously. "Now what do you say we get on to school? I mean, it's not like we'll run into that black-haired boy! If we do, I'll just scare him off again!"

"Black-haired boy...?" I say.

"Yeah, a boy with red eyes...I scared him off easily!" The boy says before smiling.

Izaya Orihara...scared off easily? This seems hard to believe. Who are these people?

Mika's POV

Seiji-san...I can't believe I ever fell for him. This boy and his friends are much more interesting. Who are they, and where are they from? The blond is totally adorable and cute! I totally want to make him my boyfriend! Of course, it's not like boring old Anri would ever catch his eye.

I look at her and just smirk. We've never truly been friends, I was just using her. She knows it and I know it, too. Look at her, she thinks she's so great.

Namie's POV

"So, a boy scared you to death? A teenage boy?" I say, chuckling. It looks like Orihara has finally met his match. I have got to meet the boy who can scare the pain-in-the-ass known as Izaya Orihara to death. I give him points, he has spunk to take on him.

"I wish I was kidding. How do I put it...he was simply...unnatural. Like the head your brother's obsessed with."

"Unnatural. Like I believe that," I scoff.
