Sorry I left this fic for so long, I didn't know where to go with it, but I was watching some re runs of Series 5 and I suddenly had an idea for this :) so here we go :) be prepared, quite a lot of fluffiness in this chapter ;)

3 months after Eddie had become the Executive Head.

It was 6.45am. Chris awoke to find the other half of the bed empty and the light on in the en suite. He jumped out of bed and ran into the bathroom find Rachel leaning over the toilet, throwing up. Chris pulled her hair out of her face and rubbed circles onto her back to calm her down. When she was finished, Rachel brushed her teeth and turned around to face Chris. He looked at her, before pulling her into a hug, and kissed the top of her head.

'Right, what's up?' Chris asked her.

'I don't know where to start...' Rachel trailed off.

'Is this a one off, or has it...' Chris also trailed off, after seeing the look on Rachel's face. 'Rach, why didn't you say anything?'

'It only started two days ago, on Saturday morning...'

'How come I never knew?'

'You were always asleep, and I know that you've struggling to sleep lately.'

'Yeah but I'm fine now, Rach, I feel so bad.' Chris looked her in the eye.

'Don't. It's my fault for not saying anything.'

'Why didn't you?' He took a step towards Rachel and she stepped into his embrace.

'I didn't want to worry you. But I do know what it probably is.'

'Oh god.' Chris realised what was going on. 'Really?'

'Yes.' Rachel bent down into the cupboard under the sink and pulled out her washbag. She pulled out 3 white sticks, which were all saying the same thing. Positive.

'Rach...does this mean?'

'Yes. I'm pregnant Chris,' she smiled.

'Oh my gosh, that's amazing!'

'What, you are actually okay with it?'

'Yes why wouldn't I be? This is brilliant, we're going to be parents!' Chris said happily. 'How far along are you?'

'Well I don't actually know, but I am not telling anyone until I've passed the 12 week mark,' Rachel replied.

'Yes I agree. I just want to make sure that you and the baby are safe before telling anyone. Not even Eddie right now. Okay?'

'Yes. That is fine, I just want to enjoy this privately before we tell anyone.'

Their alarm in the bedroom went off, alerting them both that it was 7am, telling them that they should start to think about getting ready.

'Well what you do you want breakfast darling?'

'Not much, and no coffee thanks, that makes me nauseous which is a bit annoying.' Rachel struggled without her morning coffee. Chris smiled at this.

'Well you're eating something and I don't care what you say. What about if we have some toast with some raspberry jam on it?'

'Yes that's fine, now come on, we do need to get ready!'

'Rach, I just want you to know, that I am so so happy. I love you so much.' Chris said to her, before kissing Rachel on the lips.

'I love you too.'

It was 8am and both Chris and Rachel were about to leave the house for Waterloo Road.

'Right are you ready for this?' Chris asked her. 'How are you feeling?'

'Excited, nervous, tired because I can't have my coffee, and yeah I'm quite looking forward to it all.'

Chris laughed. 'Lets not say anything to Eddie, but you do need to book an appointment or something.'

'Yes I will do later, come up to my office at break time and we will get one sorted out, for a time that will suit us both.'

'Okay darling.'

By this time, it was 8.15am, and they had arrived at the school. Chris was driving and the school gates were already started to be flooded by students. He had to beep the horn a couple of times to get the students to move out of the way. Chris parked the car for him and Rachel and got out, before seeing that Eddie's car was already parked there, which he sighed about. He wanted some time with Rachel before the day started.

'Oh no no no, you aren't carrying that Rach.' Chris said after seeing Rachel try to carry a box of paperwork. He went around to her side of the car and took it off of her. 'I will carry that.'

'Fine. I will just carry my bag then.' Rachel groaned for she liked to be independent.

'You will not be carrying anything that's heavy, thank you very much.'

Rachel laughed because she could see Chris' overprotective side coming in. 'What?' Chris asked.

'Just you being you.' Rachel put her hand behind his neck and brought him in for a kiss, which earnt them both wolf whistles and cheers. Rachel laughed at them. It was surprising how relaxed she was nowadays. They entwined their hands together and heard their names being called out, so turned around to see Eddie walking towards them. Rachel said quietly to Chris: 'No mention,no nothing, just sh.' Chris nodded in agreement.

'Morning you two, how are you? Have a good weekend?' Eddie asked them both.

'Yeah we had a great one thanks.' Chris replied.

'Rachel you look tired, are you okay?' Eddie asked Rachel, who looked at Chris for reassurance.

'Oh, I just haven't had my coffee yet, I will be fine when I do. But sorry to stop the conversation for Chris and I must be off, we have some things to do.' Rachel replied.

'Well okay, see you later.' Eddie said, but he had no reply, for Rachel and Chris had already walked off, making Eddie think that they were acting a bit strangely, as they normally stay for a chat.

When they reached the safe sanctuary of Rachel's office, closed the door and Chris had dropped the box down onto the floor, only then did Rachel and Chris start to laugh.

'Oh wow that was funny, did you see the look on his face when you said we had to get somewhere?'

'Yes I did,' Rachel was still laughing when she sat down on her chair and turned it around so that it was facing the desk.

'Well I think that I think that you looked very gorgeous then.' Chris whispered in her ear.

'Well, I don't know whether it was the right thing to do or not.' Rachel replied.

Chris leant over the back of her chair and put his arms around her. 'Relax, don't worry it's fine.' He started to rub her shoulders for her, when Eddie walked in and picked up a file that he needed. Chris kissed the top of Rachel's head and stood up properly.

'Hello again Eddie.' Rachel said.

'Have you two sorted out what you needed to do yet?'

'Yes we have thank you.' Chris answered his question, stepping out from behind the desk. The bell then rang, alerting Chris that he had to go to his classroom.

'Right well I'd better be off. Eddie are you here the whole day?'

'No, I am off to meet another one of the heads. I should be back at lunch.' Eddie replied.

'Chris baby, remember break time here, I've got to go through that box with you.' Rachel said.

'Yes, but you also remember as well!' He replied cheekily, purposely looking at the box on the floor, however break time could not come fast enough for him.

'Yes I do, so now off you go!' Rachel laughed. Eddie had been watching them interact, and he was suddenly jealous, but hid it well. He looked at Rachel as well. 'You as well! What can a head do to get some peace in her office?' Eddie laughed then walked out, shutting the door behind him. Rachel sighed happily, leaning back in her chair, thinking about how perfect her life was right now.
