An:/ You guys are all so kind! I didn't expect this many reviews/follows/favorites and you'll never know how much I appreciate them! Thanks so much! I don't know how I feel about this chapter, but I stuck with it. I haven't updated in a while though so here we go!

Disclaimer: I'm sadly not Jk Rowling (who owns HP) just an unsatisfied amateur writer.

Chapter 4:

Sirius loved the way his daughter's eyes would get wide when she was overwhelmed with emotion. In the middle of Hogsmeade as the wizarding village bustled around them the whites were so shiny they sparkled and her eyelids were burst open.

He could see her mind working, categorizing the different types of species walking around them. He tightened his hand around hers as they strolled past a shady-looking figure in a dark cloak with the hood up. Instinctively he patted his wand, that was hidden in the holster under his leather jacket.

He hadn't noticed how protective he'd gotten. Sirius, despite the love he had for his close friends, had never really needed to protect them. The boys were quite handy enough with their wands (or fists) that they hardly ever needed backup. (Except maybe Peter, but they didn't mind helping out their friends).

With his Mione though, the black patriarch was prepared to fight a war for her. He'd kill a thousand men before he let a single one lay a finger on her.

Seeing her sad hurt his heart, and while he knew he was probably moving towards the direction of spoiling his little girl (her pouts were so mournful when she asked if she could get another book... to the 10 she'd already picked out), but he honestly felt that she deserved a little bit of indulgence.

As he looked down at Hermione, he noticed that it'd be impossible to tell that they came from the same household. Kreature was in love with his little angel, despite being a little devil of a house-elf himself, and always made sure she looked like a pretty little "pureblood" despite her actual heritage.

Currently she was dressed in a pretty white frock, with lace on the sleeves and skirt. It had little blue flowers sewn on the top, and they matched the blue and white boots she wore with it. Her hair was in two poofy pigtails, tied with ribbon. Sirius knew he had the cutest kid on the block.

He on the other hand was strutting in his regular ripped trousers and black jacket, and his aviators rested on his head. He chuckled to himself, remembering how Hermione wanted them to have matching hair styles, and had succeeded in putting his hair into pigtails. He asked her if he could just have a single ponytail since he was older, and managed to get her to concede.

So there they were, a rebel and his little lady strolling around a cesspool of magic, when they were interrupted by a high pitched voice.

"Siri! Oh, honey bun is that you?!" Sirius's face scrunched up in confusion as he turned towards where he'd heard that mangled variation of his name. He couldn't see her, but Hermiones face had scrunched up in a way that looked just like his.

The duo made contact with the strangest creature yet. A woman, stumbling awkwardly on tall pink heels, sporting a dress that was way too tight and short and rubber looking for casual day wear, brushing her talon like finger nails through her long (but unauthentic) looking hair, and Gucci sunglasses sitting on her head.

Hermione looked up at her Paddy. "Sirius who is that lady?" She questioned innocently.

Sirius just groaned. "A mistake princess, one I'll never make again."

When the thing finally approached them she only had eyes for the man. The little girl was quickly judged as an unnecessary liability in her eyes, and she didn't bother wasting time with the chit.

She threw herself at Sirius, "casually" ripping his hand from Hermione's while launching her sticky, purple lips on to his neck.

She was a real idiot if she thought Sirius was going to let that fly.

The man growled deeply, his animagus slipping into his everyday person in his anger. Quickly pushing the abomination off of him to regain a hold of his daughter he scowled deeply at his former fling.

"Oh Sirius! It's so good to see y-" She didn't even get the chance to finish before he spoke to her with a voice colder than his mother.

"Are you going to apologize to my daughter?" He was giving her one shot.

Of course, he shouldn't have expected anything better from the bimbo.

"For what?" She almost successfully looked confused.

Sirius put his sunglasses on his head and started to lead his girl away from the strange woman.

"Sirius I don't understand? Going so soon? We haven't even caught up!" She didn't look like she was used to being treated so rudely, but she was going to learn.

"The only thing you need to know about my life," His eyes narrowed, and instantly the area around them became cooler despite the fact that they were outside and the sun was still shining. "... is that no woman, especially a cheap slag who cheated on me with half the Ravenclaw quidditch team, is going to disrespect my daughter, the future heir to house Black, and believe that she has any chance having a relationship as innocent as even a friendship...with me. Have a horrible day Stephanie and please never consider contacting me ever again."

At that, him and his daughter continued to walk as if the entire incident had never occurred.

But deep down Hermione was feeling rather smug.

Yep, she thought, any woman who wants to be the future Mrs. Black and date her Paddy has to go through me first.

With that notion in mind she smirked a little bit, and added an extra swing to her hand linked with Sirius. It really was a nice day to go to Hogsmeade.
