The Chaotic Return of Latios
Chapter Four

He asked me if I was seeking independence, if I wanted freedom... right? Why? How did he know? I did not even think about this myself. What if I'm over thinking this? Again, how did he know that I wanted freedom from society? Was I that obvious?
...
I'm such a loser.
"Let's go, Totodile!" says Ash.
All of a sudden, Team Rocket pops out of nowhere in the Meowth balloon and attempts to attack Ash in the middle of the race.
"Pikachu, use Thunderbolt!" Ash proudly asks, as he tries to stay focused on the water.
"Prepare for trou... wait, WHAT?! We just got here!" Jessie says as she begins to panic and forget her lines. All of Team Rocket screams in mercy, running in circles over each other, as they are hit with Pikachu's powerful Thunderbolt. "He didn't even look at us! How revolting!" Jessie says as Team Rocket is thrown out of sight into the highest depths of sky.
"Good riddance." Ash says to himself, as he remembers that he is in the middle of a race. He looks around, only to see that Misty is in the lead. "Hey Totodile, let's see if we can catch up with Wailmer! We're in the losing position right now, you know. See if you can cut a few corners." Totodile responds with a quick "Toto!" as he jumps into full speed. He would do anything to make his master happy, and even more to not lose a race.
Latias arrives near the finish line to watch the racers while in secret, staying invisible from above. "I think I'll bet on the guy with the brown hair to win again." she thinks to herself.
"Toto!" grunts Totodile as he jumps over a sidewalk on the corner of a turn. As a result, Ash's platform runs into the sidewalk behind Totodile, nearly knocking Ash into the water channel as it goes over. Before he can completely recover his balance, he runs into another sidewalk. Ash tries screams to Totodile to stop for a second, but before he can, he is thrown off his platform into the water. Latias notices the splash and sees him surface up. She can't help, but just laugh. Some of the speculators, including Brock, saw him in his accident and simply face palmed...
"That must be a badly trained pokémon to be so reckless" one of the speculators said. A few people around him began to nod in agreement. Another speculator spoke. "Does anybody know who that is? I've never seen him before."
"Totodile! Wait!" Ash screams out while choking on some of the water.
Suddenly, a wave of water rises up in front of the racers, frightening everyone including Latias. If only to make it more interesting, a bubble-shaped transparent object containing a pokémon appears in the center of the wave. All of the television cameras were pointed at the bubble as it rises above the wave of water slowly, and then disappears. Of course, this freaked everybody out to no end.
As the wave heads towards, Ash seriously starts freaking out. All of the racers have fled to the sidelines, except him. As he starts struggling to swim to the sidelines, Latias notices his distress and quickly flies down to him and carries his body on top of the water to the side of the channel. "What in the wa.. How did I..? Aw, who cares, I least I'm alive." Ash says to himself as he becomes confused. He looks for Totodile and freaks out once again, as he realizes that he forgot all about his friend! "Totodile!" Ash screams out as he reaches for a pokéball and aims it at Totodile. "Return!" The wave crashes into a sidewalk, but luckily, nobody was in the area that it hit.
Latios notices all the commotion and rushes over to the scene. "Sister, what happened? Are you hurt?" "I don't know what just happened to be honest. There was this wave of water and this pokémon I've never seen before that rose up. I think it was white, but it was kind of hard to tell with all the water around it. It showed up in a bubble, and yes, I'm fine." Latias replies. "Are you serious?" he asks, only to receive a nod. "This is bad. I don't understand any of it, but it's not good, so we should be on top of this."
...2 hours later...
As the police come up with no understandings or leads as to what happened after two hours of investigating, they give up and release the information out in the local news, hoping for an answer from the public.

So I know that this was short and completely crazy, but I'm going to (try) to make sense of it into the future as time goes by... I guess I'm that kind of writer. My plot changes almost every time I write.
This document has not been beta-ed! I'll upload the beta-ed version when I get it from my beta reader. (Probably will do on the first of September) Sorry! There are mistakes, I'm sure of it. (Like lots of passive voice)
