It's June 27, and mom and I are just landing in LA. The plane ride was smooth and it was the first one I'd ever been in and I wasn't even scared. I'm proud of my self. Mom grabbed our luggage and I held our carry-on's and we caught a cab to go to Anaheim. We were going to be staying at a FOUR star hotel. FOUR stars! That's a lot of freaking stars. It's called the Sheraton Park Hotel and it was a block from California Disney Resort, which mom promised we would go, and "adjacent" from the Anaheim Convention Center, which is where Vid-Con was being held. However, I fell asleep in the cab, so I don't know how long it took, but when my mom woke me up, we were in front of the hotel. It wasn't the grandest hotel, but it was still amazing. We got out an went to room 164 on the third floor and there were two beds waiting for us.

"So what do you think?" my mom asked.
"I love it! I never thought we would go to California. At least not until I was like 19," I reply, smiling.
"So today is business day at Vid-Con and your father told us to come at 2," my mother told me, while unpacking a few things. "We're meeting him by the giant Master Chief sculpture, but first we need to get something to eat."

So we leave the hotel after mom finishes unpacking our bags and grabbing her wallet from her purse to walk to Morton's The Steakhouse. We ordered bacon hamburgers and french fries. Neither one of us finished, but what we were able to eat was delicious! By then it was 1:24pm and we decided to head over to the convention center. It wasn't that far of a walk, but it was hot, though we didn't sweat. We got to the center at 1:52 and found the sculpture of Master Chief two minutes later. It was basically in the center of the place and plenty of people where here, but I knew from watching videos of Vid-Con that this crowd was nothing compared to what would come tomorrow. But besides that I was anxiously waiting to see daddy appear from the crowd. Ever since we first talked, we Skyped and texted and called each other, basically non-stop learning more things about each other and counting down the days. I also got to see and talk to Anthony, Kalel, Melanie, Toby, Joey (Graceffa), Meghan (LifeBerry), and her brother. And I even got to see Gryphon, and he's soooooooooooo cute! My mother also caught up with Kalel and Melanie, and she made them both my aunts, even though mommy didn't have any real sisters and Anthony is now my uncle. (Yeah right. He'll always just be Anthony in my eyes.) And now here I am waiting to see my dad in real life for the first time ever and also see Auntie Kalel and Anthony, but my dad was more important at the moment. I pulled my phone out of my pocket and saw that the time said 2:00PM, but I still didn't see-

"Iridesa." I hear my dad say, some ways in front of me.

I put my phone back in my pocket and look up to see Ian, not 7 feet away from me. I start to slowly walk to him, but gain speed as I realize that my dad is standing in front of me. As I get closer to him he opens up his arms and hugs me tight to his chest as I come crashing into him. I squeezed him as hard as I can and he squeezes back. After about a minute, we loosen our grip and he holds me back at arms length and examines me head to toe, then picking me up and spinning me around.

"Wow, you're light!" he exclaims while putting me back on my feet and looking me right in the eye.
"I'll have you know I'm 98 and a half pounds of pure muscle," I rebut while stomping my foot and smiling.
"You must be my daughter," he says while shaking his head and smiling, then he hugs me again and I hug back.

After we hug we start making our way back to mom and she was just standing there smiling. (Like a loon.) Her and Ian lock eyes and smile at each other, then mom pulls him into a tight hug.

"Hey Trace," dad says wrapping his arms around her, pulling her closer. (If that was even possible.)
"Ian," mom simply states while trying to squeeze the life out of him. I was surprised they could even breathe!

"IRIDESA!" I hear a familiar, sweet voice scream from behind me. So I turn around, only to be snatched up into a hug by Auntie Kalel. For someone so small, she sure is strong.
"Hi Auntie Kalel," I say as best as I can.
"Awwl. You are so cute! But so much cuter in person! KAWAII!" she yells while still basically strangling me.
"Auntie Kalel. I can't breathe..." I attempt to wheeze.
"You're killing her Kalel. She can't breathe!" Anthony says and starts tickling her sides so she can let me go, and it works. Thank goodness!
"Thank you!" I breathe out to Anthony, who pulls me into a gentle hug and I return it as best I can.
"No problem Desa," he says while turning to Kalel. "Now that's a hug. Not a death grip," he teases. Which wasn't a good idea because Kalel slapped him in the stomach pretty hard. He acted like it didn't hurt, but when Kalel pulled me along to go back with my mom and dad he bent over holding his stomach. I giggled and he gave me a death stare, which said "I'll get you," which made me giggle more and I stuck my tongue out at him.
And he started to run after me, so I ran to Ian and hid behind him until Anthony was right in front of him and tried to run to the left, but he caught me and tried to tickle me on my stomach, but I wasn't ticklish there. Then he tried my armpits, but I wasn't ticklish there either. But then he tried to go for my shoulder bone and I tried to escape, but I couldn't and he started tickling me. (I'm ticklish around my joints in the shoulders, elbows, and knees. And somehow he figured that out.) He kept tickling me until tears starting welling up in my eyes from laughing so hard. My stomach was hurting too, so I just stayed there on the ground giggling. (A.N. This actually happened to me in a Wal-Mart when I was about 9 and I almost peed my pants. My brother is cruel!) So he picked me up and carried me over to my parents and Kalel, while I was still giggling and sat me on my feet and gave me a look that said "Don't mess with me." So being me, I stuck my tongue out at him and hid behind my mommy, wrapping my arms around her waist and looking out from under her arm. He didn't move to get me cause he was "scared" of my mother, so all he did was stick his tongue out and me and daddy stuck ours out at the same time, then looked at each other and laughed.

We walked around Vid-Con for about an hour before and we saw Toby along the way and he decided to join us. I found out he left Gryphon at home with a friend to watch him, so I was slightly disappointed, but just being with Toby cheers anyone up. We walked around for 30 more minutes before we decided to leave and do something else. We just didn't know what to do.

"Let's go to Disneyland! It's right down the street," Ian said. Mom was about to rebut, but Ian bet her to it. "We have passes. We only have to pay to get in and the rides are free." Mom looked at him, then at Anthony and Kalel, then finally at Toby and I, and we were pouting oh so cutely. So she rolled her eyes and said,

"Okay. Let's go to Disneyland." To which Toby and I shouted yay! (Toby is so awesome!)
