My eyes instantly morphed into stars. Rayleigh?! Rayleigh, the Dark Knight?! You mean Rayleigh, one of my favorite characters?! One of the most epicist characters in One Piece?! Okay, chill. Chill- Nah screw it. "Ray...Rayleigh?!" I forced out. I held my hands to head to make sure I didn't get too dizzy. While I never talked about Rayleigh constantly like Rin did about Law, I still loved him to death. It was more of a respect thing than a love thing. Actually never mind, it was 100% respect.
"Yes?" he replied politely. I bit my lip. Okay, this your moment not to fail. C'mon, you never failed in life before, so don't fail now! "U-Uh...um...w-well...you said I learned H-haki...is that...true...?" I forced out, tugging at my shirt. Ah dammit! I'm stuttering! Curse your epicness Rayleigh!
"Ah, yes. While it has begun to awaken, you haven't exactly learned it yet. At most, you probably only learned Kenbunshoku Haki." he explained. I nodded shyly. I twiddled my fingers. "Well...um...how can I learn it- U-uh, more of it, I-I meant." I mumbled. C'mon Rayleigh, say you'll teach me. Say it. My eyes gleamed with my intention.
"While I'm afraid I can't teach you...if that was what you were hoping for..." he hesitantly answered. I dropped on my knees while a gloomy aura hung above me. I failed in life. For once. "Not at all..." I mumbled in defeat while everyone else sweatdropped.
"I do know someone who can teach you." he offered. I brightened up a little bit. "Who?" I asked eagerly. Perhaps someone like Luffy? Even though Luffy himself is still learning... "I have a friend, her name's Boa Hancock-" he explained.
"No thank you." I interrupted, my eyes cold. Rayleigh stared at me questionably. "Why? Do you know her-?" he asked. "Yes." I butt in. Boa Hancock was annoying. Well, she was okay later on, but she was mean and annoying in the beginning. I mean, who willingly sacrifices their own citizens?!
"You should not believe rumors, she's actually a good person deep down. She'll definitely make you strong." he replied softly. "Hmm...I'm sorry, Rayleigh. But I just can't do it." I answered softly. He sighed disappointingly and I could almost hear my heart crack. I didn't like making people disappointed in me. Specifically Rayleigh, screw it if I disappoint others.
"Well, that's fine too. Come see me if you change your mind." he replied. I brightened up. I can see Rayleigh again? Hey, but that means I would have to accept his offer. Damn, what a dilemma.
"Umm...excuse me...? Is it alright...for me...to come out?" squeaked a voice. Oh! This voice! I know this voice! "Ah! You're that girl from earlier!" I yelled as I pointed at her. She blushed slightly. "Y-Yes...my name is Chidori." Chidori-chan...hmm, sounds nice! "And my name's Rei. I'm the guy who's nose is broken because of you." he scowled.
"Rei-kun! Don't exaggerate, it just bled a little bit!" Chidori protested. I grinned. "Well...you guys are free now, so...I guess this is good-bye. Goodbye forever, Chidori-chan, weakling-kun." I sang. I could hear a muffled laugh from Kidd. Oh right, they're still there.
"Umm...we aren't exactly free yet...we have exploding collars on us." she pointed out. I put a hand on my chin, hmm...what to do... "I can get those off for you-" Rayleigh offered. "Of course you can Rayleigh! That's because you're just that epic-" I cheered. "...Damn. I said that out loud, didn't I?" I sighed. Kidd shrugged.
"Whatever, it's not like we didn't know." I walked up to him with a smile and slapped him as I smiled darkly. "That's for trying to kill me earlier." I explained sweetly. "Ouch! What the fuck you crazy bitch?!" he swore. I ignored him and walked towards Rayleigh with a smile as I bowed.
"Thank you sincerely for everything, Rayleigh." I said politely. "He didn't even do much.." muttered a voice. I twitched before grabbing the closest, hardest and smallest thing I could find and throwing it at the person. "Ow- I'm gonna kill you-! Hey...this...is a devil fruit..." he mumbled. My eyes gleamed dangerously. I leaped at him like a rabid animal.
"Mine!" I hissed. He flinched before he threw it at me. I caught it effortlessly. I looked at it. It was a black apple with red swirls. It had this...really...creepy aura and I was seriously doubting about eating it or not. "...Whatever, screw it." I mumbled as I took a bite. As expected, it tasted horrible. It was a mixture of poop with soy sauce. Gross. I forced it down my throat and panted desperately. "Hmm...so how was it, Alyssa-ya?" asked Law. I shrugged.
"Meh. Worse than I thought it would be." I answered casually. He smirked. I walked around the Auction House until I found a sword that I liked. Ah, here. If I'm not mistaken, these are twin katana aren't they? Woah! So sharp and high-quality too! Why would a mere Marine have this...? "If I'm not mistaken, that's the Reiyoko Twin Katanas. While they're not a historical sword, they're still pretty powerful. A world noble must've dropped it when running away." Rayleigh explained. I smirked, I'm lucky Rayleigh was so smart.
"Alright you crazy bitch, now that you're at your best, join my crew. You know haki, ate a devil fruit and own a baddass weapon. That's enough already, right?" he ordered. I stuck my tongue at Kidd. "No way-" I retorted. I screamed as I felt a sudden force yank me into the air. "That's 'cause she's gonna join me. See ya Eustass." Law chuckled. My eyes widened. Law?! Oh heck no. Wait...wasn't it my wish to annoy Law to no end in the first place? I'm starting to regret that wish.
"Oi! Law! Didn't you fucking say you weren't interested in her?!" Kidd hissed. Law smirked. Wow, must be tiring. I mean, I know it takes less muscles to smile than frown, but still. "I changed my mind." he replied nonchalantly. With that, he swiftly exited the building while still carrying me.
"H-Hey! Have you ever heard of something called an 'invitation'?!" I protested irritably, squirming around in the air. "Even if I asked you, you would've said no." he chuckled. "No I wouldn't." I protested. I shrugged. So what if I was completely lying, it works. "Do you want to join me-" he mocked. "Hell no!" I screamed. "...Oh." I mumbled. He chuckled and kept running at the same quick pace. Eventually, we made it to his submarine.
"Ah, Captain! There you are! ...Who's that? Did you really buy a slave?" asked a person wearing a white jumpsuit and a cap that had the text 'penguin' on it. That should be...Penguin, right? Pfft, how original.
"How much?" asked who I presume was Shachi. I had to muffle my giggling. Dude, glasses like that is so...so...actually, I don't think they were ever popular. "Nada. She's joining our crew." he answered. I pouted, "No, I'm not. I'm only here because I was hauled here by you." I muttered. He smirked, "Then little lady-" he teased. I twitched and growled in annoyance. "Would you prefer joining me or drowning? Since you ate a devil fruit, you can't swim anymore." he chuckled. I grinned happily.
"None of those!" I cheered. His smirk slowly tugged into a frown. "You have to choose one." he replied. I smirked as I threw my bracelet at him. He instinctively held out his hand to catch it. Sure, a bracelet is harmless, but he didn't know that. "Hold that for me, won't ya?" I mocked, falling onto my feet. I unsheathed one of my katanas and pointed it at him. "I refuse to join." I muttered. I smirked, "But you seem to be too fond of me." I teased. He scowled, "Just who's fond of you?" he muttered. I shook my head, "What I'm trying to say is, why don't we settle this the old fashioned way? Sword fight." I explained, smirking deviously.
"I don't have to follow your orders-" he muttered. "Why? Worried you can't win by yourself-" I teased as I swiftly dodged a dagger aimed at my head. I tilted my head, "Eager now, aren't we?" I teased, sticking my tongue at him. "Bring it, if you want death so bad." he muttered. I smiled. Time to see what my devil fruit was.
